My parents-in-law are living in Charter Senior Living at North Park Place in Sioux City, Iowa. It is a very nice place, very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The only issue we've ever had so far is that they changed hands from who owns them and the cost for the month-to-month rent went up already. They've only been there for a short amount of time, but they really enjoy living there, the freedom to come and go as they need to, the van that takes them when they want to go places, and the meals provided. They are enjoying their time.
They got an apartment. They have independent on one side of the building and assisted living on the other side. I know they have a gym, and they also have different kinds of activities like church activity and bingo. Because of Covid, the number of things they are providing is limited. They can't interact with other people who live there and get to know anybody. Hopefully, once this is all over, they will get more involved with people. I know my in-laws like most of the meals. There are some that they don't like, so they buy their own groceries, but for the most part, they like it.
