I loved Edencrest at Beaverdale. It will accommodate my brother-in-law. He wants a single bedroom with a door on it so he can open the door and have these other two little living spaces. It's a little more secure than the other place, the same distance practically from our home. We don't think he will be able to get out of that place, plus they go from assisted living to memory care. It was beautiful, it was a wonderful place, they had the actual room with either a balcony or patio for him, and I know he would love that. We spoke with the nurse, the director there, and the gentleman that was also the director/co-chair, whatever he was, even the staff. They were all wonderful.

Edencrest at Beaverdale was the most expensive place I visited. We had a local storm, and one of the interesting aspect of Edencrest at Beaverdale is that it's right next to a restaurant that was flooded during the torrential rainstorm. The senior community was adequate and has enough space. They provide laundry, cleaning, and transportation. Their major selling point for me is that they're the only ones that gave me a little souvenir. They also invited me to have lunch. They don't have a lot of outdoor space (except for a few places where you can sit down). You can't play mini golf or volleyball, and it's in a very confined location. The staff member who gave me the tour was good.

Edencrest at Beaverdale was very new and very clean. The staff and activity person were very nice. The food and amenities were good. They had a kitchen where they could cook or bake something. It had assisted living, so you get more personalized care. They seemed to make an effort to get their residents involved, which I really like. The only complaint I would have is it had the appearance of being massive. My mother has Alzheimer's, and the rooms were set far away from the administration and the dining area, which was not very comforting for her.
