What I like the most about Summit Pointe Senior Living Community is the staff. They are just having fun and are really into their job. A couple of the gals did a dance routine in the cafeteria, and they just have a really good time, are happy, and really care about the people that live here. I'm in the independent living, so I'm asked to come to all this stuff. There are things I choose to go to and things I don't, but they always bring the people from the memory care area out to all the live music that we have every Friday,. Sometimes the guys all get together at the clubhouse on the third floor while the ladies are doing adult coloring at 10:00 on Saturdays. It is a really, really nice place to live.
They also have exercise bikes here and places for private dining. They decorated the whole place for Christmas, and they even took us out to look at the lights in the city. They have a van that they use to take people to doctors' offices or take us out to eat or go shopping. They serve wonderful food that's all homemade stuff. They make bread every week and you can eat in your room. At the front, there is an outdoor area that is completely covered and where we have a band sometimes. In the back, we have gardens and I've got a lot of plants that I volunteered to take care of in my apartment. I was able to get a cat, too, as they allow pets. You can have a small dog or cat here.

The outside areas of Summit Pointe Senior Living Community were beautiful, with flowers and trees. Some of the residents, in fact, like to grow some vegetables in the summertime, like tomatoes and peppers, which was kind of cool. I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking around. We talked and looked at some things, but it wasn't enough to impress me. They do have different ministers, different denominations of religion that come in and do the service, offer communion, and all kinds of stuff that they want, so that was very nice.
