Copper Shores Village is advertised to be more than it is. The activities are poor, the food is horrible, and there is a problems with bullying among the residents. Front desk staff is rarely friendly, and there is a large turnover of staff. The environment isn't too friendly. We expected my mom to be active and having fun there, but she hated it. You get charged a approx $175 more to be on the west side of the hallway, so you can look out the window AT THE LAKE. Totally ridiculous. There is also a problem with cleanliness issues in the dining area. I reported them to the Health Department before moving my mother out of there. I was unable to get into the building on a Friday night after hours, when my mother was having a medical emergency. All calls made to the numbers provided, went directly to voicemail. I do not recommend Copper Shores Village AT ALL. Take your loved one somewhere else.

My father-in-law lives at Copper Shores Village. The room has a beautiful view of the lake there. It is a pretty modern facility. It has a lot of activities. It has a really nice gym to work out. We saw three levels of care. They have a memory care there, too. We met quite a few people there. I even met the nurse from the assisted living side. My father-in-law likes the food. The place has a beautiful view of the lake, and there's a walking trail around the lake. There's a nice patio area to sit out. Even for the memory care, they have their own little fenced-in area (so they can't wander). They have a personal trainer there that will help you use the equipment and build your strength. My father-in-law really likes that.

I've moved into Shores at Pleasant Hill. The dining room is very nice, they have very nice people, and the food is pretty good. The housekeeping seems adequate. I have my own washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and whenever I need anything done, the maintenance people are right there. I'm happy here. The staff is really nice. They seem to know what they're doing, they're very efficient, and whenever I need anything, they come right away. There's an exercise room.
