About This Community

WELCOME TO SANDY SPRINGS SENIOR HOMES

Sandy Springs Senior Homes provides the best in what independent seniors are seeking: private living with communal services and activities. Neatly tucked away from busy streets, our one and two-bedroom condominiums are located on a beautifully landscaped 7+ acre campus.

Our 7+ acre campus is thoroughly landscaped with Dogwoods, Crepe Myrtles, English Ivy, Seasonal Flowers and Natural Tree Buffers between the adjacent properties.

Although not directly affiliated, we enjoy a special relationship with Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church and School, as we share driveway access from both Mount Vernon Highway and Johnson Ferry Road. Frequently, the school provides free concerts for our residents.

Our parking is more than ample, resulting in most residents able to park just outside their condominium. Our residents find the campus quiet, peaceful and secure, and tend to take daily walks among the scenery.

There is something happening at Sandy Springs Senior Homes every day! We have a full schedule of fun and fulfilling activities for our residents each week, and frequently have guest lectures and singing groups in to fascinate and entertain!

WHAT MAKES THE VILLAGE EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES?

Sandy Springs Senior Homes is a lovely place to reside. The campus has a nice environment so residents can enjoy socializing with others, peaceful sittings under trees by plants and flowers, and a wonderful staff that loves to serve.

A few staff members are nice. However, the manager is very rude to both residents and their families. As a former receptionist, she is not qualified to be a manager. Confidentiality is not maintained. The manager seems intent on running off the residents and therefore costing the owners. The manager seems to think that those that pay her salary are to report to her as opposed to the opposite. A good bit of money has been spent on cosmetics. However, the cost is passed on to the residents.

I'm moving there probably in October. It's small and very friendly. The layout was efficient and easy to maneuver. Utilities, meals, trash service, linen service, beauty parlor, all kinds of activities are included. They have exercise, art, church, outings, and they provide transportation.

It had one- and two-bedroom apartments, which were really nice. The people we met were very pleasant and had no problem answering our questions. They had everything there, like balconies on the second floor and patios on the first floor. The place was configured in a way where I don't think the seniors would have too many problems. Even if they got confused, there was someone readily available to help them to get where they had to go. It was very clean. They paid a lot of attention to detail, like adding some newer lights that offered more of an ambience. It was a place where you not just age in place but age in place gracefully. It wasn't difficult to find. It was just a few minutes off the expressway. It's very convenient.

It is a very positive environment. Both the staff and the residents are pleasant and the food is good. As for activities, there are not as many of them as I think there might be, but I don't have time to do more than I do now anyway. Nevertheless, I enjoy Bingo and we have Friday morning coffee socials. They recently had a retirement party for somebody and it was fun.

The apartments are good. It's an older place, but it's within my price range, so that's why we took it. They have chair aerobics, a library, and weekly get togethers or party. It's very nice.

It was very clean, and the furniture in the waiting room was nice; I liked it. The staff was very friendly, the dining area was OK, and I was interested in the activities.
