I'm planning to move to Mt. Vernon Towers in a couple of weeks. I chose this place because it's the best one financially for me. It's a tower with about 300 units. The staff I've come in contact with so far have been very helpful and very professional. They offer meals, they have a restaurant and it was good. We went for dinner there one night, it's very good. They have a pool and they do water aerobics, they have a workout room, they have a theater and other meeting rooms and game rooms. The activities are pretty inclusive. It's located close to everything, there are hospitals nearby and doctors' offices. Everything is very convenient in that location.

I've had relatives living at MVT since 1988 and could not love the place more. There is nothing like it in North Atlanta where you rent or own your unit. The units are the largest I've ever seen and are constantly being updated and improved. Free transportation within 5 miles and located in downtown Sandy Springs with all Doctor offices and hospitals close by. Truly an outstanding place to live. The beautiful dining room serves three meals a day of excellent food. All the activities you could ever want. Friendly employees make this place a true dream.

I live in Mount Vernon Towers. It is a high rise, and its condominiums, but you get your meals. They have activities. They have the buses. They have all the things that senior livings have. We do have a personal care center. If you have surgery or if something happened and you cannot stay in your unit any longer, you can go to the personal care center and stay there. However, they do not do heavy duty nursing. If you have Alzheimer's or something that really requires nursing home care, you have to go to another facility. I love the fact that this is a condominium. I am able to renovate it when I move in, and I like high rise living. They have a wonderful staff. We have an executive director, and he has an assistant. We have 24-hour security. The front desk is always manned. We have an activity director and a bus driver. They take us out to dinner once a month to some place special. We go to the symphony downtown. They take us to plays. Mount Vernon Towers is like a cruise ship. Cruise ship has something going 24 hours a day, and Mount Vernon Towers is almost like that. They have something going every hour that somebody will awake. You can do as much or as little as you want to. They serve 3 meals a day, if you want to. You have a meal allowance. It is great. It has a covered secured parking. I have my own assigned parking space. I have an apartment with an entry hall with the closet, a full kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and a bedroom. Each floor has a little sitting room where we can play cards or just get together.

Mt. Vernon was outdated, but my parents liked it. The inside was super nice, but no residents appeared to be there.

I like the location of Mt. Vernon Towers. It's less than a mile from where we live for the last 40 years. I also like their flexibility. It is the only one that didn't require us to take a meal every day. There was a monthly dinner party when we went there. It was very nice, and we met a few people. Everything seem very well done and in order.
