I loved RiverView Senior Resort. I found the people to be very friendly and very kind. The communication was very good. You could talk to them and they were considerate. They had the patience to sit there and talk to you and not rush you through interviews or anything. It's beautiful. When you sit in the dining room, you think you're on a cruise ship with the river flowing by. The food was very good. The lady showed me the different areas that they have there. The dining room, the rooms that the actual residents live in, the library, and all.

RiverView Senior Resort was a nice and clean facility. However, the size of the units were too small for me. The biggest they had was a one-bedroom. I needed a one-bedroom with a den or a two-bedroom. The lowest unit they had was on the second floor, which will not work for me. They didn't have meals.

I looked at about five different places down here in Palm Bay, and it seemed like RiverView Senior Resort was head and shoulders above the rest of the places, plus it's a little bit cheaper. They had a nice discount on veterans and veteran spouses. The building is surrounded by water on all three sides. It's very clean. Madeleine was very, very helpful. She was fantastic and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. It was a very enjoyable place. I had lunch there one day and it was a good meal. They have a few different kinds of menus during the day. They have the breakfast menu, the lunch menu, and the dinner menu. Then they have an all-day menu where you can pick off of that just about any time during the day. All the meals are included, so even little snacks are taken care of. Their rooms are exactly what my mom needs. It's not very big, but they all have separate bedrooms and plenty of room for everything. They have quite a bit of activities. The whole second floor is geared toward activities, from crafts to having their own hair salon, a game room, a theater, a chapel, and a lot of nice big common areas. They have a swimming pool on the first floor looking out over the river and a couple of screened-in patios that are very nice with very comfortable furniture to sit outside overlooking the river again. There's a lot of room out back and a lot of grass to walk around on the property. It's like a vacation resort as opposed to just an apartment complex.
