Westminster Oaks is a ten out of ten, but it's just not as convenient a location as the other one we visited. The facility and the apartments were newer and more impressive. They were beautiful apartments, beautiful buildings, and beautiful grounds. I didn't eat any food there, but they had a beautiful dining room, a library, and a gym. All I looked at was independent living. They don't show you assisted living. We looked at the two-bedroom apartments. The one we liked was 1,129 square feet, and it was nice. I didn't see that many staff. I only saw a few salespeople and they were nice, but naturally they're gonna be nice.

I visited Westminster Oaks and would highly rate this place, but it’s hard to get into. A friend of mine waited for about two years to get into the place. Their service is great, and the staff is very nice. They have a pool and offer aerobic classes, bridge, and mahjong. They go out on a bus to different places.

A friend of mine has been staying at Westminster Oaks. What she has there is like a little town home. The one I looked at is really too big for me, so I probably will go with something like an apartment-type setup. The setting at Westminster Oaks is lovely and quiet. It is in the woods, kind of. Each of their little houses is secluded. You're not like stuck next to someone. There is space between your house and the next person's. That's probably the nicest feature I noticed. Also, parking is available for visitors. I like best the privacy of your own house and the ability to have space for people to visit you. It is very accessible but private. I thought it was really nice. If I still had family members with me, it would be a nice community because they are larger residences. Like in my friend's house, there are three bedrooms, a big patio outside, a big kitchen, a dining room area, and two and a half bathrooms. So it is nice if you have an extended family that will come and visit you. You don't really have any staff there. You're living on your own. The manager and the coordinators are very helpful. If you need assistance or you have to repair something, you can tell them and they will make arrangements for somebody to come over.

Wonderful place to live! We have a choice of homes, apartments, assisted living or health. It is a beautiful campus with all facilities located nearby. They staff is excellent and very caring. Everyone here is very glad to be here!
