I liked the closeness of Vitality Living Spring Hill to all the facilities around, like the hospitals, shopping, et cetera. So, we were very, very pleased with it. We had a good tour and the two-bedroom, two-bath just fits our needs, as there are not many facilities in the area here that have two bedrooms, two baths. It's very spacious with a little kitchenette and a living room. We will be on the first floor, so it has two patios, which is a big plus for us, because we have a dog. The lady at the front desk was very personable and Frankie was very knowledgeable of the area. He was very helpful in describing what we needed and showing us the apartment that we were interested in.
They have a calendar with all the activities that are going on and it looks like they have a lot of activities for the seniors. They have a movie theater and transportation that takes residents wherever they want to go, like to doctor's appointments, shopping, etc. So, that was a plus for us also. They have a separate dining room if you want to have your family over for a birthday party or gathering.
It is close to where we live now, so a lot of our friends are still in the area. It's easily accessible and the fact that they have different wings, so you can go from independent living to assisted living or memory care if you need to be.

It was a pretty nice place to start with, and the staff was very nice. I was specifically looking for a memory care, and they had the memory care shut down. So I didn't get to see it, but they showed me a room in the general population. The staff member was very informative, he's very knowledgeable, and he has a genuine concern about my concerns. They have a pool, courtyard, and a patio. It looked rather new.

It had a nice setting and a nice external look. It's been there quite a while, so some of the apartments and the cabinets were older in style, but it's nicely landscaped and there are walkways there. The few staff members we met were real good and have followed up since then. We toured the dining room, looked at an apartment, and the activity room. There's a chapel and a pool there. What's interesting to me is that when you move to assisted living, you can still stay in the same apartment. However, when you got to the Alzheimer's unit, it's separate.
