The rooms at CountrySide Lakes were bigger and nicer. The price was even lesser. Everybody that I have come in contact with has been really super nice. I think the cleanliness was perfect. It was very clean.

CountrySide Lakes was very clean and neat. The tour was organized. It was very good. They have a small refrigerator, a stove, and a sink area in the apartment. So you could make your own little snack if you wanted to. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a pool.

I'm planning to choose CountrySide Lakes for my aunt. It has every bit of care that I could not give her at home. It still allows her to have her independence. This way I feel secure that she has people around her all the time. She fell in love with the place. We got great recommendations from a lot of friends of ours who have loved ones or friends that live there. It just fit every little criteria that we were looking for. The rooms are very nice. They look like an apartment, and they don't look institutionalized (which was really nice). She can make it her own living space. I like the fact that it had a separate kitchen, so she can cook. She can also go to the dining room if she wants to. She can call and have her meals brought to her if she wants to. It gives her choices. They have everything that she likes like bingo, dominoes, and card games. They have a huge swimming pool that's right in front of her apartment. She has her own patio so she can watch the activities outside if she wants or just sit and relax. They've got everything you can think of. They're clean. They're neat. There's no odor anywhere. The staff was all very welcoming. She's excited about moving in. We've also tried a meal, and it was very good.

My dad chose CountrySide Lakes. The people were very sweet to him. There was quite a bit of activity among the residents there, where in other places we didn't see the residents too much. We went at different times during the day and every time we went to CountrySide Lakes, there were always residents throughout the outside. When we walked in, they were in the common areas. I'm sure there were some still in their in their apartments, but we saw a lot of people out, milling around, visiting with each other. They interacted with the staff. I think Peter did a fantastic job. My dad liked the food. It is an older building, but it is clean. It's being updated. The grounds themselves are well-kept. It seemed clean in there, I saw them painting, I saw them cleaning. I saw them interacting with the people. They had all of their COVID things in place.

We went to CountrySide Lakes, we had an appointment but they said they can't show any models because they're having COVID testing in the rooms they had set aside. We just looked around the place and it was kind of old. They had old gas ranges and old refrigerators. The area looked nice though with a lake and dog walking area. The visit was kind of short. We just walked around and the building was kind of older than the other ones we saw. It has aged a little bit although it's nice. We saw the independent living side. We looked at their dining area and the menu and they were pretty good.

CountrySide Lakes was a very family-oriented home. It had more sense of community than being in any kind of care facility. They were like a family, a lot of people were out doing things, they were engaged and very friendly, and called people by name. The staff members who gave the tour were very cordial, very polite, and very accommodating to the requests that I saw coming in from people inside. This place is a combination of assisted and independent care. One of the advantages that I saw about this place is if you go from independent care to assisted living, you don't move your room or you don't move buildings, so you stay in place. I think my mom would appreciate that. It's a multiple-story building with an elevator in a centralized location. Then you have branches that come off of the center of the elevator, where they have a doctor's office in the middle, they have a beauty shop there, and they have an open atrium area right there on the top. The rooms branch off in either direction. Some rooms have views of the water because it's surrounded by two lakes. The people in the room they showed us have been there for a very long time, and it has not been modernized, unlike the one that they showed us originally. The facilities were very nice, but the rooms have the same individuals and have been around for a long time so it's dating. They have activities like bingo and live entertainment pretty much every day. You have to add in the cost for the assisted living care, where a lot of places kind of have the independent living and assisted living prices that are the same. They have kind of an ala carte arrangement.
