I went to Veranda Club. They're remodeling, so it's utter chaos, and I wouldn't move there even if you pay me, not with all that chaos. They showed me a one-bedroom, and it was very nice, but I'm not sure if I would feel claustrophobic after being there a while. There was only one window in the living room and it was a very small high window. I have to be able to look out and see that there's a world out there, and if I can't, then I get claustrophobic and I get crazy. I didn't see any game room at all. The dining area was makeshift, and it was not very appetizing to me at all. They showed me pictures of what was going to be, that's all. I can't say something that they might improve because I didn't see anything that I liked.

I visited Veranda Club, it was a good one, and they were remodeling. They were redoing it, the room was nice, but it was a little far from my doctors, so that was not good. You could age in place, meaning you could have an aide help you and stay there. They were all knowledgeable. I think there were two elevators in there that you could use, but they all have long walks depending on your room. I saw a pool, I think they were redoing it. They said they had a salon. They claim they were redoing the whole thing and there's gonna be a cabana there. It seemed very nice. I would recommend it I think to an older person than myself, because the people that I saw did look a little too old for me, and I'm not ready yet for that.

Veranda Club was a very nice and clean place. They have everything that we need. They only let you see a model room that was furnished, but it was very nice. The staff was very nice. The dining area was fine. They've got friendly staff, and it's well managed. There's a full schedule of activities. They had breakfast, lunch, dinner, cards, Bingo, theater, and they take them places and to doctors' appointments.

Veranda Club is better than I could have imagined. The apartments were large, and they've all got screened patios. It's lovely. The staff was wonderful, very nice and helpful. The dining area was lovely, big, and spacious. The bus came and got some of the people and took them somewhere. They've got a whole list of activities almost every day.

The Veranda Club was very nice and cordial. I can only say good things about them. What stood out to me was the fact that the people are too old, maybe eight to ten years older than myself. I like that the workers and employees are warm and friendly, and they made it their business to ask us back for the holidays. We came for the Jewish dinner, and it was very nice. They put my friends and myself at a table with one of the ladies that was very pleasant. I liked the entire place. The rooms were nice, with a 1-bedroom and a living room and a small kitchen. It had a washer and dryer and a dishwasher; it had everything. In terms of amenities, they have wine one night a week, they provide two meals a day, and it has everything I'm looking for. The food was very good, and the maître d' was so nice, because he was told that we were coming. He could have done more for us. The building is nice. Here's an example of a Monday: at 10:00 a.m. there's shopping at Walmart, 1:00 p.m. is a trip, 1:30 p.m. they play blackjack, there's a lecture at 3:00 p.m., and so on. My friend had a cane, and it would be too much walking for her, so they put her in a wheelchair, and the person who took us around wheeled the chair for her wherever we went. We only went to see the independent level. It's a separate building and they don't mix the residents.

Veranda Club's two-bedroom, two-bath apartment was absolutely lovely, and the people were lovely, but the lunch and service were not to my liking and very unsatisfying. The lunch staff was abominable, and the service and food in the dining room were awful. The whole interview was very nice, and the lady who showed us around was darling.

The Veranda Club is OK, but not very good. They need to improve on cleanliness, and the rooms were small and outdated. The staff was nice. They had trips and activities. The value was not very good for the price. The location was OK, and it was 10 miles away.

Last year, Veranda Club was number one on our list. The majority of the people there are Jewish. The food was very good. She loves the food. They had a lot of activities. The rooms are the nicest rooms of all the places I’ve been to. They have screened-in balconies that have very nice views, not the parking lot. They’re screened in ,so if you have a cat or a little dog and you want to let it out on the patio, they can’t jump overboard, and that’s a big plus for a lot of elderly people. Every room they showed us was in top notch condition. Everything was clean, repaired, and very nice.

I was able to visit Veranda Club for a walk through. They had nice, wide hallways, and there were a lot of people with electric wheelchairs and so on. I thought people looked happy and you could hardly, in some cases, tell if the person was a client, a patient, or a nurse. The people were nice there. Veranda Club looked good; everybody likes it.

We visited Veranda Club. We liked it and have decided that this will be the place we go. The apartments are larger than many of the other apartments we’ve seen in the same price range. Their premises have been repainted top to bottom as well as inside and outside, and they replaced all of the furniture, so it looks like new.

Veranda Club is terrible. It is a non-inviting place. We walked in, and it did not look nice so we left right away.

The Veranda Club is a very nice facility and I really like it. If I would choose for myself, I would choose this facility. It was small, but very pretty facility. Their dining area is beautiful and the food is good. The staff was very nice as well.

I recently visited The Veranda Club as part of a search for an independent living facility for my 81 year old mom who currently lives in NY and wants to move to Florida. I was met at the reception desk by Sheila, a lovely, friendly woman who is a long-time employee. I was then met by Wrendi who took me on a tour... she too could not have been nicer. I wanted to fall in love with the Veranda but unfortunately the good vibe that you get from the people is not matched by the appearance of the building. I was very suprised to see how rundown the facility is... carpeting in the rec room upstairs was stained and dirty, the walls looked as if they had not been painted since opening, the "verandas" or unit sunrooms are in serious need of an overhaul and the one apt.that I visited had appliances that looked ancient. I was told that they are in the process of a much needed renovation. I told Wrendi that until that renovation was completed, there was no way that I could bring my mom down to visit the site. A very bad first impression.
