Our Memory Care community is designed specifically to cater to the needs of individuals who have conditions related to memory impairment or dementia. We have carefully designed an environment for seniors with dementia that focuses on stimulation, socialization and specialized care to address the needs of seniors on an individualized and collective basis. We aim to stimulate the cognitive abilities of seniors living with dementia and increase and maximize the capacity for their cognitive functionality so that they may mirror life as they did when they lived at home independently.

Oaks if Clearwater.

Very bad elevator system. Bathrooms are cramped. Fabulous view. Entertainment is poor.

I like The Oaks of Clearwater. The tour was great. I enjoyed it very much. It's very nicely set up. I like the one-bedroom deluxe and that's what I'm trying to get into, but they have a special going on for a one-bedroom at the price of a studio, so that's a good plus. I might take advantage of that at first. The views out of the big windows in the rooms are just to die for. It's wonderful. The staff during the tour was excellent. She's a very nice lady. She did a really good job, very informative and knowledgeable. They had a birthday party going on when we got there. They had a singer doing the karaoke stuff, and they had a full bar. I don't drink, but I thought that was very nice, and there's food everywhere. It was almost like a cruise ship when I got in there. It was great.

I moved to The Oaks of Clearwater. They have a cafeteria where you can go to eat. I have a 2-room place with a living room; it's very nice. The people are extremely nice, very helpful, and the food is OK. There's no problem, so it's good. They have different things that people can do here. You can go out to different places, and there are buses going to stores and things like that. The people that manage it are very very nice people and very good. I mostly eat over there. The food is mostly fine. So far everything's in good shape. One building is 15 stories high with something like 300 people living there. It's like a large hotel. In the outer buildings the apartments are bigger and more private, so it's very nice. The property is beautiful. It's on the Gulf of Mexico on the Intercoastal. I can see it when I look out of my window. The staff are very nice people. I'm getting what I'm paying for.

My father is in The Oak of Clearwater. We chose it because of its price and location. It is very nice and near to me. It is very clean. The people are also nice, and they seem to know all the residents. They seem to care about them. He has a nice room on the 14th floor overlooking the bay. They have a lot of social recreation, but he does not participate. He is in the independent facility, and they have a private dining room upstairs for dinner. The food is not gourmet by means, but he has many options to choose from. He says he is getting fat because he is eating too much.

It was homey, it wasn't stuffy, very clean, people are very friendly and there is a lot of activities that's going on and keep them busy. I was impressed. I would definitely recommend The Oaks to others.
