I went to Winslow Court. I enjoyed the visit and decided to move there. It's just what I need. It is very caring staff, and it's a good place. What sold me was the staff. I've been dealing with James. He takes the time to get to know what I need and what I want; he's great. The people there are just wonderful. They're friendly, open, and caring. It's a really nice place. The food was great. I only had one meal. It was good. I had a dinner salad, a roasted chicken sandwich, and a strawberry shortcake for dessert. It's very clean. I did notice that they had exercise every day. They had bingo and music night.

I saw the independent living of Winslow Court. The facilities were pretty nice. They were laid out pretty good. The rooms were adequate. They weren't luxurious, and they weren't as big as the others. The surroundings were OK. They weren't the greatest, but they were pretty nice. It was a fairly decent location, although it was pretty close to a noisy road. The staff was pretty nice, pretty knowledgeable, and pretty friendly. The dining area was quite adequate and quite comfortable.

I liked what I saw at Winslow Court. I got to see a floorplan for a one-bedroom, which was what I was looking for. I have seen all of the amenities that they have available and I liked what I saw. They have washer and dryer, they have meals available, activities, all of that. The staff member, Brittney, was very helpful and very informative. I had gotten an email from them inviting me to stay for lunch after the tour. When I told Brittney of that, it seemed she wasn't aware of that, but when she went and told the chef it turned out that their dining room was closed for a week for cleaning before the winter. But she got the chef to make me something to go, which was a cheeseburger, and it was OK.

There seemed to be a religious focus at Winslow Court, which is good for some people. They were very caring, involved with families, and seemed to make a real effort to get to know their clients. The director talked about bringing in outside speakers and programs and trying to keep people stimulated. They had different levels of care from independent living to assisted living to end-of-life care. The residents seemed happy. They had a room for art or puzzles, and there were ladies having tea. The dining room was nice. The facility was clean and up on a hill, so there's more sunshine. They're in the process of redecorating part of it. They had a nurse practitioner come in once a week, and they'll take them to their doctors. The staff seemed nice and happy, well groomed, and interacted well with the residents. The common rooms were spacious and the rooms were adequate.

Winslow Court was very nice but too expensive. The staff was very nice. We had breakfast, and it was good. We were there early in the morning, and people were in the lobby area watching TV, but there wasn't any activities going on that we saw. We saw a room that somebody was living in that was clean and nice.

I had my mother here for 2 1/2 years, she truly enjoyed her apartment and the location was convenient for me. There has been quite a bit of remodeling and the staff is very friendly, but if you are needing more care than just doling out medication, you're not going to get it here. As an example, my mother fell this past July on a Friday, I received a call informing me that her hand was swollen and that she had a knot on her head. When I got to Winslow and saw her I went down to the nurses station and asked them if they had seen her, I was told that they had seen her, but decided that she didn't look bad enough to call in the portable x-ray machine. I went in on Sunday and her hand was even more swollen, I buddy taped her fingers and took her to the Dr. the following morning where it was discovered that she had two broken bones in her hand. For four days my mother suffered with broken bones in her hand and no care, very disappointing. In July of 2017 the cost of her care went from $500.00 a month to $1600.00 a month on top of her rent. I was told all that they would do for this extra money, but being there twice a day every day I saw very little difference in the care to warrant this amount of extra money. At this point it was just time to find another place for my mother to live and receive better care.

My friend was very happy at Winslow Court. She had a shared apartment with individual bedrooms that was very nice. Whenever I visited her, it was always clean and well kept. The whole place was very nice.

I thought Winslow was a worthy cost as far as helping those that really need help and also those who are considering independent retirement living. The thing that lacks is it develops kind of like a hospital setting, but when I spoke to one or two people that were there, they were happy. I mean, the apartments were great, and they said they enjoyed living there. I guess they kind of missed their independence, and when they were younger they basically had a choice if they will. The rooms and the dining rooms were very nice. They have chefs and a variety of different meals, which I have thought looks pretty good. They kept the residents pretty busy with activities, and I did think that it’s a very nice place to live.

I was not impressed with Winslow Court. They had stairs to get up and down to get to the elevator. It would not work for my mother-in-law. I know they will do some renovations, but it would not seem adequate for our needs. They also had a bunch of walkers and wheelchairs piled up here and there. It did not seem clean and user friendly.

My parents have lived at Winslow Court for a little over a month now, and I couldn't be happier with our choice for assisted living for them. I am amazed that the staff always goes the "extra mile" to be accommodating. They have done so much more than one would expect to make the transition to assisted living as easy and pleasant as possible. The food is always excellent, and there are enough activity choices to keep my parents engaged and interested. They have made several nice friends already. The facility is kept clean, but is not posh and snooty - just comfortably worn and homey. I honestly can't think of one complaint, so five stars all around.

I visited Winslow Court, and the people were really nice, but I didn't like the physical facility. We didn't see any rooms because they didn't have any empty room available for us to look at. The ambience and set-up was mediocre to lower. It was just not very nice, but the people working there were very gracious. The physical building itself was very ugly, and they don't have enough land around them to make the ground outside more appealing either. However, the manager was very nice, very gracious, and hospitable -- all the people were.

Mom stayed at Winslow Court Retirement. It was a large facility, which had both independent and assisted living. It was H-shaped with three floors. I liked that it was built like my college, and it felt comfortable to me. The center of the building was where the activities went on. There was a big dining hall with a chef and a huge amount of staff in there, so they would just sit there and order from their menu and they had specialties each day. Because they were so large, they had the ability to offer a lot. They had a large activity program. Every day they brought in different kinds of things. They had church services. They also had a bus that would take people where they needed to go on a set schedule each day; they just needed to sign up. They just also recently bought a town car, which people could hire if they needed to go to a different place. They had a nice big, open courtyard in between each wing. People were allowed to have a pet. They did their laundry and changed their sheets. However, since she was in the independent living, they weren't as willing to have somebody look over her shoulder all the time, as it probably had 120 people in it. When she fell and knocked herself out, nobody was looking after her, and it took a long time for her to be found.

On the whole, I liked the staff quite a bit. I got to know them pretty quickly and they were very friendly to my grandmother, even though they didn't speak her language (spanish). From time to time, I would see the staff sitting and chatting with the residents during meals. I think this is a sign of a good retirement home. I would describe the facility as clean and cozy. It didn't have that sterile feeling many other communities have. There was a fireplace and a TV area as well as a quiet area for visiting. The food definitely exceeded my expectations and the dining room was very elegant. My grandmother's living unit was a one bedroom with a small kitchen. It was also very clean, though a little bit old. It really just felt like an apartment which was all we wanted. As my grandmother's demensia became worse, the facility was very understanding and willing to work with her. I do not regret putting her in this facility.

I was impressed with the facility for the most part. However when checking a Alzheimer's patient in closer attention should be paid. My mom signed the paperwork when she had a POA who just bailed out on her, the POA was suppose to sign for her., I believe there were some legal issues.

My grandmother is a resident at Winslow Court; and has lived there for many years. I first visited this facility with my family two months ago. From first glance, the property was very clean and orderly. The staff was quick to help and answer any question that was asked in a prompt manner. My grandmother gave me her personal opinion on the facility and one of the first things she mentioned was the friendly residents at Winslow. Within the first month of living there she had already made dozens of friends. From my own perspective, there were many events and activities available for their residents. For example, they had a community Nintendo Wii and often held bowling tournaments that my grandmother enjoyed on a weekly basis. I also ate at the food court and quite enjoyed the salad bar provided for everyone (as well as the ice cream treats provided after every meal!). Overall this Assisted Living Facility is more than just a place to live; it is an amazing community of individuals who care for the wellbeing and health of my grandmother!
