My parents recently moved to here and I had the opportunity to visit them this past week. This place is absolutely wonderful and so beautiful. The sense of community is strong with many activities and everyone you meet has nothing but great things to say about this place. My mom and dad have an updated 2-bedroom unit that walks out onto the most beautiful greenbelt. The grounds are gorgeous with all kinds of flowers and mature trees. The unit is spacious and filled with natural light and more than enough room for them. Don't even get me started on the food! I had 2 meals with them, and each meal was outstanding. They have an Italian chef which truly knows what he's doing! It provides me with so much peace of mind knowing they are in such a comfortable and caring place. If you are looking for a place for someone, make sure to add this to the top of your list. It's 10/101

I'm at Cogir of Vallejo Hills Senior Living. I chose it because the place was very friendly and outgoing and they didn't try to hide anything. They meet all of my needs here. I hadn't been here for over a day and they all knew my name. They're very efficient. They provide exactly what they tell you they're gonna provide for you and I like that. They do exactly what they say they're gonna do. With food, everybody doesn't like the same thing. When they don't have what you want, they always have an option. Sometimes, I just do a little something in the kitchen that I like. I've been invited to just about everything they have here. I wouldn't say that I participate in everything, but Monday night football is especially my favorite. I used to play a lot of Pinnacle, and they asked me if I would be willing to teach it. There's something for everybody. They have screens still on the ground though, and they should be installed. I think you get what you pay for.

My mom stayed at Cogir of Vallejo Hills for a year. Then we moved her because she was starting to get lost, as it's quite a large facility. The place was fine. I think she got very good care while she was there. The issue was not the place; it's just my mother. The staff was very informative and communicated with us very well. Any time we went there, they were clean. The décor was very nice, and I think that they created a good atmosphere. I think we got what we paid for. The place was in a good setting, very peaceful, and quiet. I believe (for the most part) it was secure. It was good until she started getting confused.

Cogir of Vallejo Hills Senior Living is amazing. The staff has been great. Mom's room is clean and nice. They have bingo and lots of activities every day. They have an exercise room, an activity room, a hair and nail salon, a store, and a library. The facility is very well maintained, and there are beautiful flowers everywhere. She loves the food, and she's already gained weight. There's a great variety of food, and she doesn't have to be in the dining area at a certain time.

My father is in Vallejo Hills Retirement Community. The food, the staff, and the faculty are pretty good. He's in independent living, but he's on a waiting list for assisted living. They have bingo, tai-chi class, Wii bowling, and outings to shopping. He has a regular sized apartment, and it's got a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Everybody is really helpful. I ate there three times, and everything's really good. It's a lot more affordable than a lot of other places that we looked at for the same amount of care and activities. Everybody that we've talked to said we made a really good choice. It's a good place especially for the money that you're paying. It's in a good area with good views everywhere and pretty much any window you look out of you see hills and trees.

We're living at Brookdale Vallejo Hills. It has three separate buildings, but they're connected by hallways. They're on top of a hill and you have a nice view from any apartment, a lot of trees, a lot of lawn, a green belt, and a lot of curb appeal. We have a very nice view of the San Pablo Bay and the East Bay homes and hills. It's very nice, but it's older, which is one reason it has all the hillside views, the green belt, and all the trees. It has good maintenance service and good guest services at the front desk. They have a social hour, cocktail parties, birthday dinners, and special event dinners throughout the year. We viewed other communities and this is by far the best and the most reasonably priced. They have a very good dining room and the food is all fresh, not catered, not packaged, and not in a buffet, it's served. The facilities are maintained very well, but since it's on a hillside it's difficult to wash the windows, so they only do it twice a year. They don't have a fitness center, but they have exercise machines on various floors in different places, but they're not used a whole lot. They have a very nice dining room with tablecloths and cloth napkins. At lunchtime, we have the main meal rather than just a sandwich or salad. Their activities are geared toward older members. They don't really have an exercise program, but they have yoga. They have a lot of activities going on during the day.

The place I liked the most so far is Brookdale Vallejo Hills. I thought it was elegant. Everybody was very professional and friendly. The apartment was attractive. They offered many activities, like trips, games, watching football games together, and exercise.
