Westmont Village was too large. You had to walk through the hallways and since the rooms were on the side, it wasn't as bright and cheerful as the other facility we went to. The staff was very good though.

My husband and I moved here a year and a half ago. It was beautiful and peaceful. The residents are very friendly. But if we had known the changes that were going to take place, we would never have moved here. This has been our experience: The grounds are now not kept up (except for the streets when you first drive in). The landscaping is overgrown and just sad looking. Management does not take care of repairs. You are basically ignored or put off when you report problems. We waited a over a year to have our oven repaired. We waited 18 months to have a toilet replaced. The new toilet doesn't work properly but mgmt. is ignoring this. There has been a water leak on side of our home since we moved in and nothing is done about it. Wall is damaged on side of our home and no one cares. IF INTERNET OR TV ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU, DON'T MOVE HERE. Read other reviews that detail the issues concerning this horrible situation. The bottom line is that Westmont Village has become a sad and stressful place to live.

Westmont Village has everything. It's a nice facility. We're very happy with it. Everything was very well kept. It was built years back with the military in mind. It was a place where officers would retire, so it's built extremely well. The person who assisted us was very good. She answered our questions, and we were very happy with her. They have a bunch of activities, and they have big rooms for every activity. The rooms were very nice. They all have balconies and bigger rooms. They have refrigerators and ovens, so you can even cook in your own room. It's nice. Everybody was very friendly, too.

I have been living in Westmont Village for a while now. I like the size of the room. This is the largest two-bedroom of any I could find in town. I also like all the amenities. They have everything. They have a swimming pool, there is a spa, there is a physical therapist, and there is a gym. If you want somebody to do your laundry or empty your trash or anything like that, they have people that do that. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes food is really good and sometimes it is not as good as other times. As for activities, they come out with a sheet of every activity that they're having that day and then everything they're having that month. If you want to be, you can be constantly active with every kind of thing you can think of. They also have a chapel, and on Saturdays, they have like a happy hour. They have just everything you could think of. I think the value for money is worth it, too.

Westmont Village is a nice facility, just a little pricey. Other than that, it was nice, it's huge. I think my mom would get lost there, it's so big. If she decides to go there, they'll have someone that'll shadow her until she gets used to where everything's located. It can be overwhelming because it's really large. They have a lot of amenities to offer. It's like a world within itself. They have everything that a person could need or want. I was shocked at how big it was, and it's well-maintained like it is. I think it's worth it. It's a little pricey, but I'm at it. It's a great place, I think. They showed us everything except for the memory care. We didn't need to see that. The staff is very knowledgeable of what they had to offer. Even though he had been there a short period, he's only been there a short time, but he knows everything that they had offered. He was able to answer any questions that we have or concerns. They have a stove and microwave. I'm surprised that they have stoves in there. They have a swimming pool, exercising, and they even have fitness therapists to work with people with leg and joint pains, stuff like that.

I think Westmont Village is pretty good. They have a place for woodwork and sewing. There's also a pool for those who want exercise. I'm in their independent living. The staff is very helpful and they have excellent food.

I visited Westmont Village. I like it because of the independence, and everything was right there on the property. So, if you need to hire somebody for cleaning, you could do that. If you kind of needed someone for skilled care or respite care, that was available. It was close within the vicinity of our Kaiser Permanente. The staff is a five, especially Kristen, she was very helpful. The rooms were average. We were recommended by a friend, and they stayed there as well and enjoyed it. We went over there looking at them. They had a combination of things. The salon was active, and there was physical therapy. There was also a game room. Even the residents that were there that were standing in the hallway were nice and spoke to you like it was nobody being stuck up into all that stuff.

One of the facilities that I visited was Westmont Village. I found it to be a beautiful community, the equal of any town or village in Southern California. It's just gorgeous with beautiful homes. It used to be Airforce Village West. They had a lot of military officers living there. Now it's got a lot of seniors, it's got apartments in there, and it's got all kinds of comprehensive care if you need it. The freestanding homes are gorgeous, and you can just live independently if you want to. I was very impressed except for a couple of things. It's too quiet. It's almost as quiet as the funeral next door. A lot of people would not consider that a flaw, but a benefit. You could hear a pin drop walking down the street. The other thing is me and my attitude. I'm going to be 80 years old in a year and a half or so, and I have no right to feel this way. But I go in there and on these tours and I'm looking around the people and it is a sea of elderly people, and I don't feel like I'm in that demographic, even though I very much am. I'm too young for that kind of a place, but I'm just going to have to get used to it. I'm probably older than a lot of those people, but I'm looking at it and I feel like I'm looking at a lot of grandpa and grandma, and I'm not one of them, but I am. So it's a bit attitude on my part. I didn't go into the memory care building, but I saw them from the outside. I mostly visited independent living and maybe assisted living. The people were very, very nice. If I were to go anywhere at this point, it would probably be Westmont Village. I thought it was a wonderful place. It's spotless. The staff is all wonderful. They were very, very nice and accommodating.
