We visited Drake Terrace and we liked everything about it. It's very well-run, everybody was very friendly and welcoming, and very cheerful. It had a lot of light and a lot of fun activities. The rooms are very bright and cheerful, and the food is good.
They have a workout room and an activity room where they do movies and holiday things. The grounds are very well-kept. The atmosphere is very warm and family-like, and everybody's very nice to each other. What we saw was their independent living. They have other things too but we did not visit their assisted and memory care because what we wanted was just independent living.

Drake Terrace is not perfect, but it's pretty good. The food is very good, and they have quite a few activities. It's in a really convenient location, and the surroundings are very pretty. There are hills and lots of trees around. The people seemed very nice. It's hard to get used to living in any kind of place like it, but it's mostly positive. They have everything from studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, and I'm in a one-bedroom unit with a pretty good-sized kitchen. Some units have handicap-accessible showers with grab bars. They have a couple of exercise classes, tai chi, entertainment that comes in, movies, and rides to doctors, shopping, and a scenic drive once a week. I was pleasantly surprised that the food is good, and they have three choices at each meal. It's pretty expensive. It does not have a swimming pool, and I wish they did.

My father and his wife moved to Drake's Terrace two years ago, and it's fantastic for them on many levels. Convenience: no need to shop for groceries, cook, or clean
Social: built in new friendships with other interesting people; regular comraderie at meals, And more.
Stimulating: all sorts of intellectual, arts, and music activities offered daily
Health: exercise classes including walks, stretching and tai chi
Safety
I can't imagine a more down to earth and pleasant environment that offers safety, convenience, social outlets and much more. As a concerned and loving daughter, I'm very pleased my Dad and his wife reside here.

I have a relative at Drake Terrace. The food is good. The outings are good. The activities could be better. If the schedule reads "poker" and only a select 4 people play poker - others are not invited, it should not be included on their schedule of activities.
The place is expensive; one price for all units regardless of where they are located. I believe that someone who is very close to the dining room should pay more for that convenience than someone who is much farther away.
The staff are caring but sometimes have difficulty being understood due to their English as their 2nd language.
