St. Paul's Plaza was very nice, it was just a little more expensive than the other place, and they didn't have a pool and a spa. The apartments were fairly decent size, very nice, but not much storage. They had a very good list of things to do, they take people shopping, and they had several choirs; they were very good on that from what we saw. The staff seemed to be hard working. The dining area was very nice, and typical.

St. Paul's Plaza is fairly new and very nice. They had two dining rooms that offered two meals a day, and washer and dryer in the apartment. They had a bar, weight rooms, swimming pool, and you could have a pet. I saw a nice, clean one-bedroom with views over San Diego. It's independent and costs around $2,800, but you can get more care for a maximum of $8,000 a month. We had lunch there, and it was very good. We met one girl who showed us around and was very nice and polite.

The rooms at St. Paul's Plaza provide very nice lighting. The staff is wonderful, and there are 4 nurses on staff which means there is at least one nurse on staff all the time, and that's a big deal because my mother requires insulin injections. It has a library, a nice little outdoor area, an entertainment area, and a pool. There is a separate place which is sort of a multi-function because they do musical things there and some types of exercises, and this is in the dementia care.

My husband had respite care at St Paul's a couple of weeks ago. We ate there, and it was more of a gourmet food. The rooms were perfect -- like in a time share; they had a nice bed with nice quilts, a sitting chair, and another chair. The bathrooms were beautiful. The doors were wide, you could get in and out with nothing blocking you, and the doors to the restroom were oversized. The restrooms were very large, and they have a double size showers with benches. It was not expensive for a memory care. They have 24-hour food, they have about 3 nurses overnight, and they have a lot of assistants. They have activities from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. They have the rooms set up so that no matter what you end up in the same place all the time.

St. Paul's Plaza was too expensive but a lovely place that was very plush and nice. The rooms and apartments were very nice. You could get a one-bedroom apartment with a handicap accessible bathroom, so it's very nice. They bring people in to do activities. The dining area was lovely to look at and very comfortable. Hopefully, they can get their pricing down to where more people can afford it.

St. Paul's Plaza was very nice and almost brand new. They offered all kinds of activities and had a saltwater pool. One thing I liked about them was, they said that if you have family in the area, they could stay there while you were there.

St. Pauls was nice; it just seemed very quiet. It didn’t seem like there was much going on. It didn’t seem as active or as fun to be there in the sense of having a lot of socialization. But it was clean, new, and nice.

My mom liked St. Paul's Plaza because it's brand new, everybody is really friendly, everything looked real nice, and it's not any more expensive than the others. There weren't a lot of people filling the halls looking ill, and that had to do with the fact that it was new. There weren't a lot of people sitting around in wheelchairs looking miserable. The common dining room hasn't really been used much yet.
