I went to San Clemente Villas By The Sea. The tour went well. The person was very knowledgeable and caring, and the property shows well. It just doesn't work for my mom. The units that were available show very well. The person giving the tour was great. She was very compassionate. They did send us home with delicious cookies, and we saw what the meals were, and the meals looked delicious. There were nice options and a nice variety. The people weren't doing anything at the moment, but they told us about things that they were doing and they had planned for Christmas. It seems like they had a library or a movie room. It was beautiful. I saw a person taking a resident somewhere and bringing her back, conversing with her. And it just looked like an inviting place to be.

The staff at San Clemente Villas By The Sea and their staff was good. Their facilities were great, they were very nice. The staff was also very helpful.

We found San Clemente Villas by the Sea for my wife. I’m very pleased with it. The staff is very good. Food is pretty good with a lot of good choices.

San Clemente Villas By The Sea was privately owned and very nice looking. The apartments were small, but they were very expensive. It's near the freeway and near the hospital. They had three meals a day.

San Clemente Villas was nice. The staff there was friendly and knowledgeable. My mother, however, did not want to move in that area.

We have mom's friend is in San Clemente Villas now, so we're now considering maybe like a short stay there to see if she likes it. The people are friendly there, as are the owners. They were very nice. They have classes, like there was a film class. My mom would just go there for that class. They reach out to the community, it's a nice environment. The food I think is pretty good. They always have a salad bar available. I think it would be good for them to have low-sodium options, and just maybe more vegetarian offerings. I thought the room was very nice. It was roomy. She has a 1-bedroom, so I thought it was fine. She was able to get most of her things in there. They have a big living room and a little aviary on the left. They have all these little birds and that's really super nice and they decorate it for the holidays. It's really beautiful, and then the eating area is beyond that. They have a pool in the back. It overlooks where you can see the freeway, but you have a view. The beach is farther out.

San Clemente Villas was terrific. It's probably the best one that I've ever seen. The rooms were very nice and modern. They have motion detectors so that if somebody doesn't get up by 9 or 10 in the morning, they send somebody to find out what's going on. All the residents wear a GPS, so they'll know where they are. The whole staff is very caring and they have so many things for the residents. I've had lunch and dinner there. Their food is wonderful and it's better than most restaurants. I think the best part is the activities that they have for the residents. There's always something going on like classes for the residents and their family. They have a doctor on staff that teaches people how to remember things, and other cognitive type of classes. They've got some big event going on almost every week.

My sisters and I have looked into 7 different assisted living locations. SC Villas by far has the best programs, least turnover of care givers and a most active program for seniors. Both in and outside of the facility. While most of them all have a very caring side, our mother with mild dementia who still cares for herself, will greatly benefit from the Memory Enhancement Program (2 years new, 5 days a week, 1hr, 2x day) is a step above the services that most of the other places offered. Every staff member is so kind and they all know the residences names. Our mother needs sound structure that the Villas provide and a memory care unit which in turn will equate to not needing to make another move to another facility. Best of all it is FUN there for all.
