I'm currently in Paradise Village. It's wonderful. I've been here for three weeks now. I like it very much. It is a nice facility, and it's well kept. They have a wonderful dining room and lots of activities. They take different trips to different stores, and they go shopping. They have movies. They have a workout place, and they have a pool. They have all kinds of things. They have games and church services.
There are individual buildings for different types. They have independent living and assisted living. There's just a lot of different things available, but it all interconnects with the main building, which is where they have the restaurant, the workout room, the swimming pools, and a bank. They've got everything. The staff are very kind and very helpful. Value for money is excellent.

We went to Paradise Village. It was fabulous. I was very impressed. I would move there if I was a little bit older. It was really, really nice. My friend definitely should have gone there. It was wonderful. It was just so unique and so clean. They had beautiful murals on the wall. Their parking garage was nice, and they have a dog park. The people were super nice. We spoke with the chaplain and the tour guide. The rooms were really nice as well. Everything looked perfect. We saw all their amenities. They have a beautiful pool, workout room, and an area where they get together and play games. They had a library. Overall, it was just fabulous. It was like a resort.

Our experience with Paradise Village was very good. A young lady named Rhonda gave us the tour. She showed us around everything, and we had lunch there (which was very good). Rhonda was super. We really liked the place. Everything looked good. I didn't notice anything that was displeasing. Coming into the entrance, there's a nice lobby. It's very open and airy. The atrium there was beautiful. They seemed to have everything. It seemed to be a really nice community.
There's a pool (which looked wonderful), a putting green, pickleball, an exercise room, and a weight room. They have a theater and a chapel. We had lunch in the restaurant, and it was good. I just had a light lunch of fish and chips and sweet potato fries. There was nobody in the weight room when I went. They haven't started coming back inside the exercise room yet. They were doing exercises outside. It's a large community, and they have gardens, walking trails, and a park in the back.
Everything was just really, really nice. My husband is a veteran, and the staff showed us a special wall where they have really nice framed photographs of all the veterans who live in the community. He was really impressed with that. The only staff I interacted with was Rhonda and the front desk. They were very friendly and very welcoming. I didn't see anything wrong with the facility. We looked at a guest room, which was just like a regular hotel room with just a bathroom. The apartment that we looked at was very spacious. We were looking at independent living, but we can just have help when we need it.
The lunch wasn't perfect, but it was good. The fish was done well and the fries were done well. Then we had dessert. We got to choose what we wanted to eat. It's not like they just give you one thing. They seemed to have everything that you would want. I didn't see any activities going on. The only thing that I saw going on was in the crafts room. There were some ladies making beads, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. They said they were making jewelry.

I'm very impressed with Paradise Village. Rhonda was the one who helped me, and she showed me everything. I was very impressed with her demeanor. She was very nice and very caring. She went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. She even sent me a nice card inviting me to keep them in mind, and I have them in mind. I looked at the whole facility and she gave me a rundown of everything. The facilities were quite nice and quite numerous. The atrium was great and regal-looking. You walk in there and you feel like you're in the Taj Mahal because it's such a beautiful place. It was the first day that they had reopened their movie room. That was the first time since last year that they opened up the movies for people to go and enjoy themselves. The staff took me for a nice tour and I appreciate that. Everything was outstanding, I was very impressed by the whole place.

We didn't get to see the outside. I understand we missed the best part, but we were in a hurry because we had somewhere else to go, and so it wasn't a full, but a pretty good, tour. I think we saw maybe three fourths but we didn't see the whole things, the outside, the walkways, and I think they have a pond or something. I say we should be fair to them, go back and take a look at it, that part of the outside. It was beautiful, just the walk-in and the entry was just fantastic, I mean it's just wow, it was a wow entry. The people that took us around, they knew all about what they were supposed to know. I mean, they're full of information.
My husband was doing one of the activities, he was giving a talk, they had invited him to come and speak, so that was going on, there was like a game or something upstairs in another area, so people could go to that too. So it's two activities we knew about. The people there, they seemed to be having a really good time upstairs.

Paradise Village was awesome. If my mother-in-law decided to ever move here to San Diego, we would choose them. We toured independent and assisted, and it was all-in-one. She didn't have to walk very far to go for dining. It was all in one building with a small hallway. It was all-inclusive, and it wasn't as expensive as some. It was posh, and it was just wonderful. The rooms had a lot of space. They had a washer and dryer and a full kitchen. The closets and everything were great. The layout of the apartment was good. If we didn't own our own home and we wanted to go in there because we're over 60, we would do it ourselves. The staff was awesome. We went in to the dining area during COVID and we said hello to the chefs, and they were waving and having a fun time. The camaraderie among their team was awesome. We were really lucky that we even got a personal tour because they weren't doing them at the time, but we were very interested and we were allowed to go in as long as we took precautions, and they were great. This was the best place. I can't say enough about this that I love it myself.

The workers that we ran into at Paradise Village were all very nice. The place is really clean, bright, and cheerful. The staff member who assisted us during the tour took us through everything and we saw everything. The people we ran into were awesome, and Rhonda, the one who runs the community, is phenomenal. They have activities, a woodshop, a swimming pool, rec room, fitness room, and craft room. They also have walking paths that are marked every quarter mile or half mile; it's really nice.

I visited Paradise Village. It has all the amenities I'm looking for, and it has a lot of programs for health and wellness. The staff is very professional, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. The atmosphere was very good, and it seemed like everybody was enjoying themselves, and was happy. It looked like it was really nice. We had lunch there and the food was good. The dining area was large, well set up, the staff was professional, there was a wide choice of items on the menu, and it met our dietary requirements. There were a lot of swimming and fitness classes.

We moved into Paradise Village, it's absolutely wonderful, and we love it here. They have plenty of things to do, places to go, and it's a wonderful atmosphere. The food is actually restaurant style, not in a line, and I can't say enough good about it, the staff is hard working and people-friendly, and if you meet one in the hallway, they always smile and say hello. However, they usually take 2 or 3 days to respond to a service call if it's not critical, that's the worst thing I heard here. They have a list every day of about 12 to 14 activities, from church, shopping centers, theaters, and just about anything, they do it. They have a wonderful exercise room with a tremendous planned classes, and they have a huge semi-olympic pool, and a very large spa. I have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with a full kitchen, it's not cheap, but it's not in the expensive side either. It's a 7th-day Adventist community, they do not have shellfish, alcohol, and pork, but they have home made food to die for.

I went to Paradise Village. It was absolutely gorgeous and lovely, but it was not what I needed. I thought it was great for people who were mobile and looking for a place to retire but not for any kind of care. It was set up like an apartment building with lovely rooms. However, they didn't have a nurse's station nor monitors in the room. They had amazing activities every day and a wonderful cafeteria.

My father lives in Paradise Village, and I'm there all the time. It was not expensive. The food was very good, and it was restaurant type and a little bit of the gourmet side. They have cleaning service once a week, they have a concierge to pick up dry cleaning, and they have activities all day long. They have a pool, tennis court, and basketball courts. They go on off campus trips like shopping trips, and they give you rides to your doctor's appointments. They have a fitness center with a physical therapist and personal trainers. The residents and the people that work there seemed to be happy all the time.

Paradise Village is a very nice place, but it's just not for me. I can't use a lot of the facilities here nor eat the food they cook. I had to go up and down a lot to check my mail and go from one place to another because I'm in an electric wheelchair. They have a lot of activities here, but I do not do them. My room is excellent. For many people, this place is good, and I would recommend it. The staff is very good, friendly, attentive, and very willing to assist.

At Paradise Village, you have a significantly less down payment with them. They only require $2,000 deposit, and then after you've decided that you will move in, they will ask for $10,000 more and you can get it all back after two years. After that, you possibly lose the $10,000. You lose the $2,000 after two years. So this is one of the least expensive places to go.
They have nice units, a beautiful indoor pool, exercise equipment, and so it is a nice place. It is a beautiful building. They have a very beautiful entry with a big fountain and a lovely indoor swimming pool. Actually, there is a bank that is attached to the building, so it is very convenient for banking. Then, they have a very nice dining room that is on the main floor. It is only a three-story building, so it is not a high-rise.
They have selections every day, and they provide you two meals. One of those is a continental breakfast, and the other is dinner. We have eaten there three or four times, and it was good food. They have a beautiful, big theater that seats about 200 people, and they have entertainment coming in. Recently, they had a group of dancers come in, and last Sunday, they had a special guest speaker on memory care, and they have a lot of daily activities. They do things in the pool and things like dance lessons, card games, and all kinds of different activities. Also, occasionally, they will gather those people who are interested, and take them to a theater or something that is in the San Diego area.

Paradise Village is an excellent facility, but it's just too small for us because we do have a lot of things. They have good people and they do have activities like tours or field trips. The staff who accommodated us was very nice. We had free dinner and the food was very good. I can recommend this to other people who would want to see the place.
