Have had numerous concerns and left messages at front desk and phone to have senior staff call me back. Never one call. Evening and weekend calls either go unanswered or rude staff with no care. Family request have gone out the window and operations do as they please with the "residence", Facility maintenance has not done alot of cosmetic repairs that really do need addressing. For the most part the daily staff is respectful and courteous. and in general the facility is clean. ... more to come.

Hi. My name is Karen Gebhard and my parents have been residents at Silvergate for 2 years this month. I can not say how much I, and my siblings, appreciate all Silvergate does to keep my folks active and engaged. We have all been amazed at the effort and hard work by the entire staff to ensure that Silvergate feels like a home and community. While there are the occasional expected grumblings from time to time, what we all see is both of them being much more engaged and social than they have been for many years in their home environment. Mom seems to have found purpose again. Taking on volunteer responsibilities in the Country Store, assisting Kerrie with decorations and putting together the many holiday celebrations, organizing and leading the Sunday afternoon craft class, as well as serving as a Resident Board Member. She no longer sits waiting for one of us to call because she is too busy going to exercise class, walking with her friends, or attending a music program, bingo or other fun activity. She has built some warm and supportive friendships with other residents and staff members. Dad isn’t as much of a joiner as mom, but he seems to really enjoy all the musical programs and special events Silvergate consistently hosts, as well as the weekly bus rides to see pretty areas of Fallbrook or the wine country in Temecula. And he has found he enjoys visiting at length with many residents, and learning about their varied and interesting lives. In addition to the social aspects Silvergate has added to their lives, the facility is always kept clean and inviting. The recent remodel of the West Building, where mom and dad live, has been a welcome brightening and updating for the decor. Lucy, the housekeeper, is a gem who takes such good care of the residents, ensuring that their units are clean and well stocked and genuinely cares about being sure each resident’s specific needs are met each week. All the staff makes an effort to know ever resident by name, as well as many of their family members. There is a sense that everyone there is looking out for each other. The pandemic was a huge challenge for so many families with loved ones in these types of facilities, and across the board, the way Silvergate handled keeping their residents safe, while still providing for controlled activities and dining throughout most of the long months of lockdown was exemplary. I do not know of anyone whose family was as well supported as my folks were at Silvergate during that unprecedented situation. The transition to a Residential Home has had its challenges for my parents, however, I believe Silvergate is the perfect fit for them and the adjustment has been, on the whole, very positive. Thank you for all you do to love my folks.

Silvergate staff goes above and beyond to keep my parents happy and comfortable physically, socially, and emotionally. We are so grateful for this beautiful community.

Very happy with every aspect provided. My mother finds the staff to be very attentive. We were worried at first that she would be unhappy after living independently for so many years. But at 92 it was time for all involved to make a change. Everyone has been more than helpful in allowing a smooth transition. We are very Thankfull.

I'm very pleased with my tour at Silvergate Fallbrook. Helen was the person who helped me during my visit, and she was amazing, I loved her. I also loved their memory care unit. It was really pleasant. They had a lot of activities for the memory patients. There was also a beautiful garden in the center of the community. The rooms were a little bit smaller than the rooms at the community we ended up selecting. They invited me for a meal, but I had to go. They had all kinds of activities for the residents.

My mom is staying at Silvergate Retirement Residence and so far she is independent living, but soon she'll be needing assisted living care too. There is no smell of urine when you go in and the facility is really pretty. Their common areas are very nice too. They have a beautiful dining room where everybody gets to eat. They have a choice on their menu and food is excellent. They have all kinds of activities like games, movies and bingos. They also have a happy hour before dinner. My mom doesn't drink but she goes just because it is a social affair. In this event, they can choose whatever dessert they want. We are very impressed with Silvergate and I definitely would recommend it.
