How it works

Vi at La Jolla Village offers two different pricing options, depending on the percentage of repayment. Your entrance fee and monthly fee pay for your apartment home, as well as access to our onsite continuum of care. The entrance fee is a one-time fee paid when you move into the community, and is based on the floor plan and repayment option you choose. Additionally, your monthly fees – which are directly tied to the floor plan you choose – also cover a range of services including: maintenance of your home, housekeeping, dining, transportation, and more. Should you move or need to access the care center, your independent living monthly fees will not increase, aside from community wide increases, the cost of additional meals and ancillary items as needed.

I visited the Vi at La Jolla Village retirement community last December when I was on christmas vacation in San Diego. My grandparents live here and we went to visit them. It was my first time visiting since they moved there. It is a great place to live. It has a great location in San Diego, with many activities surrounding the place. The staff was very warm and helpful to us. It is cool how this place looks like a hotel, and that is because it used to be one. The layout of the building is very upscale as well. Everything is kept clean and is in order. There are also great amenities that my grand parents love. They also have great dining here, I was lucky enough to get to eat a few of their meals. It seems like it would be a great place to retire. I would recommend!

This is a community for those in their Sunset years that I found myself wanting to place a deposit down for when my time comes. They have not missed one area of design of plan for all needs. Retirees here will not have need for anything. If they need something, this place will have it. From the moment you walk into the door you are greeted by a warm, friendly staff member who leaves you feeling as if you're the only person in the world. This place has everything you could imagine for pleasure and fun to an Urgent Care Clinic on site where the Doc comes daily. The apartments are beautiful and you can bring your own belongings or they will furnish for you. They have some many activities and events you will be tired looking at the Calendar. They have several towers and they all are staffed 24/7 with heavy security patrolling 24/7. You need not leave for anything all is here. I will be seeking this place out for myself when that time comes. Mean while give them a call for a tour. You will feel the way I do once you visit.

I cannot thank the staff of the Hyatt enough! My father was admitted following a health crises in his home. My sister and I were very concerned about placing him in a facility. He has always been stubborn and very independant, and we were concerned that he would not participate in therapy so that he could go back home. The Rehab staff were wonderful, they were so patient and worked with him so that he could get back to his second story apartment. The Nursing staff were very attentive and answered all of my father's questions. The food was top notch- I think he ate better during his stay, then he does at home. Hats off to the Hyatt!!!

Beautiful facility and clean. That is why I'm giving this place any stars at all. My mother was admitted (she's 91)after a pelvic fracture. She was there for 3 weeks. In those three weeks, she was injured during rehab and left weaker and unable to walk, so I would make sure you attend your parent's/loved ones while they are receiving treatment. Their worst problem is staff inter-communication. I can't count the number of requests I made that were not attended to. From receiving her paperwork for her sessions (I have her POA, but was denied and denied and denied), to her release that didn't include a doctor's prescription and release for all of her medications. At one point, we were almost unable to get her into her assisted living facility because it's ILLEGAL to do that. They are understaffed, of that there is no doubt, but it is unacceptable communication with the patient and families and caused more headaches than you can imagine. Feel free to contact me with any questions ([email protected]). Thank you.
