Atria Bell Court Gardens seemed like a very nice place, but just not what we were looking for. The room that we looked at seemed fine. The campus was very pretty, and the pool looked nice. The only staff person we met was the sales associate, and she seemed fine. They also had a small fitness center. There was a library that seemed nice. They had fairly typical amenities. The staff seemed very well-informed, and we enjoyed talking to her. What stood out in my mind about the place was it is a month-to-month lease. The salesperson said that we could just come in and stay there for a month. They have furnishings, so it's not really like we're moving; we don't have to bring our own furniture.

My husband and I planned to move from Virginia to Tucson to be near family soon. We visited Atria Bell Court Gardens and were won over on the spot! The charm of the historic mansion at the core of the property sets the tone. We found an attractive and roomy apartment to fit us and our budget and moved in two months later. It is in walking distance of shops, restaurants and medical providers. The Atria van takes us places within a six mile radius as needed (grocery store, church, etc.) and further on special outings. We enjoy the activities offered especially the opportunities to sing, dance, or listen to live music. Discussion groups, art and exercise classes and much more are also on offer. It is a friendly place and we had no trouble feeling at home in spite of moving two thousand miles. The staff members work hard to keep us happy and the food is well prepared and plentiful. Our chef tries to meet the varied needs and tastes of the residents. After 15 months here, we are very pleased with our choice to make our home at Atria Bell Court Gardens.

Atria Bell Court Gardens is close to Saint Joseph's Hospital, so the medical facilities were very accessible. The hallways were dark, but the facility itself was nice. The staff was nice. They had a garden pool in a courtyard-type thing. It's on a city street, and it's a relatively congested area. They have their own little private courtyard, which is open and enjoyable. The sales director is extremely nice and very patient. We met some of the people that were there, and they seemed to be very welcoming to other people. The facilities were older, but the layouts were nice. The food was good. It was more than adequate and well prepared.

We are very happy that we chose Bell Court Gardens in March of 2022. The warmth and genuineness of the staff is above and beyond what was expected. To a person, they go out of their way to make our experience better. There is a focus on maintaining the historical flavor of the architecture and decor. The common areas, including the gardens, are so welcoming and so well maintained. For activities, outside speakers would be a nice addition but even so, volleyball, card games, outside trips, exercise classes are all well attended and directed by our efficient staff. The food is good although menus could use more variety with local chefs given more control since they have the ear of their own residents. Our apartment is very well maintained and even help available for decorating changes to fit our personal taste. After investigating most all of the independent living facilities in Tucson and Green Valley, we are now certain we made the very best choice for us. JC04

I love Atria Bell Court Gardens. It was beautiful, but it was too expensive. I like everything about the place except the cost. I've seen pretty much all their facilities there. Their leasing person Vicky is wonderful. The food was wonderful. I've been to dinner there three times, and it was all excellent. They have a lot of activities. They've got physical activities like Tai Chi and yoga. They also have discussion groups, and have a chorus. They've got a lot of them.

We went to Atria Bell Court Gardens yesterday. Everything is a five there. We had lunch, and it was a very nice gourmet lunch and a high-end dining room. Their rooms are upgraded and high- end. Activities were all there. Lots of activities. Everything was very clean. The view from almost all their rooms is picturesque. The size of their rooms is fine, with very ample square footage. The staff is just top-shelf people. The whole place is just. Immaculate. It's very old because it started out being an old kind of Spaniard mansion. So it has a different ambiance than all these others. They have large libraries, a large pool, and game rooms, and they have a separate building there on the grounds for activities and entertainment. They offer trips on their buses, and transportation to doctors. They have a salon, barbershop, and beauty shop. Then they have a workout room that is immaculate and spacious. They have dance classes, exercise classes, Taekwondo classes, aqua aerobics, and very spacious extra rooms. If your family wants to come and visit you, they rent a suite for them, or they are welcome to stay in your room, have meals with you, and go to the entertainment with you. I just can't say anything bad about it. It's the best one we have gone to, and we've been to probably five or six of them.

1. My mom has a two bedroom apt. It is very adequate for her needs, and she could not be happier. 2. Her interactions with the Staff, especially Lauren, are professional, courteous, and most importantly caring and forgiving. I believe that in my case my mom is not an easy resident, but somehow, they work with her!!!! 3. I don't know what activities she likes the most, she has mentioned chair volleyball. But I will say this. I call her and she says, "Son call back later, I am busy with an activity." She told me she is busier now than she has been for a long time, and this is coming from a PE teacher! 4. Amenities: Laundry room, patio space, small dog run. The place has a very Spanish look and feel to it. Also, guest rooms, reasonably priced, for visitors, prob tons more that I don't know about.

From the first time that I walked into Atria Bell Gardens I felt very welcome. It is a property full of history and is very well kept. Walking down the hallways you meet people who have lived here for several years and those who are new like me. You are assigned an ambassador to help you find your way around, and someone who will escort you to the dining room and that person will introduce you to fellow residents. You can be as active as you want to be. They bring in entertainment for the residents to enjoy, there are seated exercise classes and a weekly movie. The staff here are friendly and helpful and the building is located close to shopping. Their transportation service is tops! But most important is I feel at home here and I believe you will, too.

I was at Atria Bell Court Gardens for four years. The rooms are spacious. I like the facility because it is a restored mansion, and they still have stone flooring in some areas. It's up to date, yet there are still areas that are historically kept the same. The staff was very good. I like that many of the apartments had a fenced-in backyard. The entertainment was always very good. They had concerts, a lot of trips, crafts, painting, and singing. They go to the movies. They had a game room where you could play all kinds of games. The library was marvelous. They had a beauty salon.

Atria Bell Court Gardens had a lot to offer. Some of the apartments were larger and some were smaller depending on what you needed. We had lunch there and it was very, very nice. I just am not ready to go to a place like that and my husband said the same thing. The staff was wonderful. They were going to have a special meal and a cookout at that time. They have people come in and give presentations about things that people are interested in and that seemed like a good idea to me. They exercise in the pool and I liked that they would take you wherever you needed to go for whatever appointments you have. They have a hairdressing salon there, where your husband can get his haircut and you can get anything done like your nails, your hair, whatever. It's right close to a hospital that we like, so that was a real plus.

I like Atria Bell Court Gardens. The people were very nice. The apartments were nice, but they were a lot more out of my price range than the sister community we toured. I had a meal there, and it was delicious. I like the fact that it was built around a former family estate. They had kept up the estate very nicely. Walking around, the outside was gorgeous. It's the only place I've visited where your dog had a place to go out into the lawn. The dining areas were very well-kept. They were a little smaller than I would like, but they had a lot of nice amenities. They have the buses to take you to the doctor and things like that, and it was right near the hospital and a lot of doctor's offices. I like that about about them. The staff was very nice.

Atria Bell Court Gardens was a beautiful community. My grandson and I got to eat lunch there, and the food was excellent. I think the only thing was that it was a little bit expensive. It was a wonderful place. All the residents said hi to me. They have a very caring staff who even came and introduced himself. The apartments were a little small for somebody in a wheelchair. They need extra room. They're really on top of things. There were a lot of choices for the food, and it was very high-class food. Everybody there seems happy. Even the residents were all happy.

My friend and I toured Atria Bell Court Gardens and he liked the idea of the place. It's got a long history that he was aware of. It was a Catholic girls school and that was appealing to him. I met Vicki there and she was fine. The only problem was it wasn't what we were looking for. It is an independent living and we were looking for some kind of assistance ultimately and you would have to, as an individual, arrange for the extra care, which started to get complicated, but I liked the layout of the apartment better, because the rooms were a little bit bigger. I also liked their food, it was had a very good meal. The chef came and talked to us. I said I have allergies and they took that into account. They set it up for us in an apartment, not in their dining room, partly because of COVID, but we had a pretty setup. We had china, glasses, and napkins. To me, the place looked perfect.

I lived at the Atria Bell Court Gardens for six months, but that was three years ago; I haven't visited lately. I moved in late April and left in early October 2018. It's very nice. It had lots of good amenities. The food was generally good. It's a beautiful place. The apartments were good size. They had some lovely big apartments there. It's a facility that is built onto and around an older estate, so part of the activities take place in this older home that you could actually call a mansion. It's really beautiful. Then they built wings from the sides of it for most of the apartments. It has lovely landscaping and beautiful courtyard. The security is very good. The reason I left was because I realized after I got there that most of the residents were about 20 years older than I was. I didn't feel comfortable that I could find enough friends or people that were similarly active as I was. I decided that it was just too early for me to do that style of living. They had exercise classes, which was good. They had activities other than in the exercise room. They had chair volleyball and that sort of thing. They had a cocktail reception every Sunday, and they had movies about every other day in one of the activities rooms. They had a beautiful sun porch in the original mansion that people used for a reading room and also kind of a game center where there were always jigsaw puzzles set up on tables. People could do them as they liked. They had card games, regularly scheduled musical performances (which were very nice), lectures on occasion, and outings. Everything was arranged by the facility, and transportation was provided to plays and concerts and things like that. They had transportation to shopping and to doctor's offices. Most of the housekeeping was excellent. Everything was kept very nice and clean. It's a lovely place to live.

I toured Atria Bell Court Gardens. I fell in love with the place. A few years ago I attended diabetes prevention classes. It's history, the calm that I felt in there, the staff, and the apartments were really, really nice, it was beautiful. I liked it. So, I took my parents there and they liked it, and they'll be moving in soon. It is in a very quiet location, kind of hidden away from the road. I thought this was one of the nicest places that I had ever seen, and I have good vibrations there. The only thing that I wanted really was for them to be in a place where they did not have to cook, they'll have the cleaning done, and they could meet other people and engage. They were just in their own condominium bored to death. My dad had to do the cooking and he is legally blind. They were getting depressed and frustrated. The minute that they walked in they were excited. The kindness of the staff, the free month without us asking, allowing me to get the COVID vaccine so I could see them, they just go out of their way to make the people happy. The place is gorgeous.

I liked Atria Bell Court Gardens. That's the one I would choose if my mom was gonna go there. Everything about it was great. I liked that they had an outdoor area for people that had dogs. My mother doesn't have a dog, but I thought it was a good thing to have for older people, so they can go sit outside and watch other people's dogs. I liked that about it. The staff showed me the whole property, answered any questions I had, she contacted me a few times, let me know what rooms were gonna be available, and when to get discounts. She's just really informative.

We have decided to move into Atria Bell Court Gardens. We really enjoy the dining room. We have eaten there several times, and the food was good. It was set up very well with white tablecloths. The living room, the main living room, the library, the courtyard, and the swimming pool all appealed to us. The location also appeals to us because it's close to the city. They have all kinds of exercise programs. They have art classes, book clubs, lots of different events, and different types of music. The staff is very pleasant. It is an older building, but it is clean.

Atria Bell Court Gardens was a mansion in the 20s and it was converted to assisted living. It's a very nice and historic-looking place, and the rooms are really nice too. They have restaurant-style dining and they have 200 activities a month, so they offer more activities than anybody else would.

Atria Bell Court Gardens is absolutely beautiful and wonderful. It's a very restful and quiet place. They have a gourmet chef and their food is superb. It's top of the line. They have a large pool and a full-time therapist available for people who can't go into the pool by themselves. I loved it also because of the atmosphere. I also met the chef, and the executive director is really good and outgoing. They have a bigger gym room with a gym instructor and classes you can take.

Atria Bell Court Gardens was lovely. It's an old mansion and relatively small compared to other places. You can have pets there, which is a big plus for me. They provide meals and have little stations around the facility with fresh fruits, sandwiches, coffee, and tea, that you can get 24 hours a day. Their dining setup was lovely. It's a beautiful thing. The people thought the food was really good. I was there when they had a Labor Day meal. They had a real chef there and people who come around and serve water, tea, or coffee. There were tablecloths on the table, and the room was carpeted. Some lights went out in the elevator while I was there and in minutes, there was somebody there to fix them even though it was a holiday.

I liked Atria Bell Court Garden and thought it was very nice. The only thing that was wrong with it was they did not have many levels of care. The apartments were very nice. The food was delicious. They had all kinds of things to offer, plus we had wine with our lunch, which was very pleasant.

Atria was fabulous, it was amazing, and that's where I want to go. It's a beautiful place with a beautiful setting. It's an old hacienda, an old ranch, and they have taken great pains to make it very successful. We had the opportunity to eat lunch in the dining area, and it was just phenomenal. Everything was impeccable, and they allow pets.

I liked Atria Bell Court Gardens a lot. It was like there was a little extra sincerity. I also liked the old mansion that was kind of the main portion of it. I was vegan, and it sounded like they would be willing to work with my diet. I did not see a whole bunch of people out and doing things at that time I was there, but the things that they showed me, they had an assortment of exercise and other activities which I thought I would be happy with. They made me a little stir fry special, and that was very nice. They didn’t have vegan items on the menu, but they sounded like they would be willing to try to make sure there would be something that I could eat.

Everything was nice and new at Atria. There were so many people and so many nice things going on. You could just do anything you wanted to. There were so much going on and much to do for people of my age. The girls who talked to us knew what was going on to show us. We weren’t left alone at all. I really enjoyed it. The food was so pleasant, and everything was pleasantly presented to us. There’s so much going on. The rooms that I saw were so nice I could live in one, and I love their bathrooms. Everything was clean and looked practically brand new. The kitchen was great. I was very pleased.

We were most impressed with Bell Court Gardens. They do not have casetas; they only have apartments, but the apartments are very generous in size, sunny, and airy. The whole facility was extremely well-maintained. We were very impressed with the grounds and the facility overall. The people that are currently living there generally looked, behaved, and felt they are happy there. They are very social and outgoing. In the dining room, the food was spectacular; there was a lot of talk and a bunch of people. There was no indication of unhappiness or sadness there at all. I was very impressed with Bell Court Gardens.

My family member has been there for 9+ years. Was once a wonderful location with many caring staff. Since the parent company has gone public, there has been a marked reduction in services and the once standard amenities. Cuts in activities budget/staff, dining staff cuts, restrictive local travel, etc. Local staff can not make decisions without home office approval. All for profit and decisions are based on dividends to share holders. And rest assured, an annual rate increase well above inflation. Security has been a concern. Master keys handed out, etc. My family member had a medical emergency that required an ambulance. While at the hospital for tests, the apartment was entered and all jewelry was taken. Atria did not want to file a police report as the items were likely 'misplaced'. Police report was filed but the jewelry was long gone. I have on numerous occasions, seen the doors propped open with a rock or other item with no staff or resident to be found. Once it was a member of the cleaning staff's pen to hold the door open. Access is quite easy on most days to doors that are not monitored. All in all, I believe it is still one of the better facilities in Tucson if they would turn back the clock and provide value for those on a fixed income and not totally consider how it appears on a profit statement.

I went to Atria Bell Court Gardens, and what I didn?t like about this place is that it's kind of in the middle of an enormous medical complex, and it felt like a part of the medical complex, so that bothered me a little bit. Overall, it?s a beautiful place. I like their apartments, and they are wonderful. They have a beautiful pool, but I just didn?t like the location.

I loved Atria Bell Court Gardens; it was very nice. I think each of them there went out of their way; they were more than excellent. They all went out of their way and went more than the extra mile. I've worked in several care homes, and Atria Bell rocks; they're the best. They were like regular little apartments, they weren't like a room, and if they called for help, they got the caregivers there. It was beautiful and very well structured. I was just so impressed with the way they did things there. They had a calendar of activities, and they had it posted where everybody could see it. They gave me some complimentary cookies when I first came in, and those cookies tasted so good.

Atria Bell Court Gardens was very pleasant. I had a very nice experience. The person who gave us a tour of the place pretty much explained all the facilities, the requirements that they had and a lot of the services that they offered. She gave us an overall view of the place and some financial information. Overall, it was a pretty nice place. What impressed me the most was the overall ambience of the place. The views were excellent. It was very well kept.

My mother was here a little over one year. I think it was the best option for her in Tucson but she needed to move to memory care. The grounds are beautiful, green with mature trees. It is great for people and dogs. It is very dog friendly and many residents have dogs. It is an older building, but it has class. Apartments aren't fancy, no granite countertops or stainless appliances, but the rooms are plenty big and they have beautiful old wood doors everywhere. I never smelled a musty or urine smell in the hallways, like some other places. They have a very nice and comfortable dining room. The dining room staff was mixed. Some experienced staff are wonderful but others, especially new staff, can be pretty bad about getting orders right and being friendly. The food is mixed. They have excellent soups and desserts but vegetables are just edible and entrees can be good or bad. They do have some turnover in the staff, including the dining room, but almost all the staff are very friendly and many are older, too. Most of the residents are friendly and happy, too.

Atria has the potential to be a great retirement community. However they fail to maintain adequate or competent management. Consistency in service and the quality of service seems to be an ongoing issue. For the money, I would send my parents elsewhere.

Atria is an independent living facility and more expensive. They have beautiful gardens. They allow pets, and you smell urine in the carpeting from the pets when you walk around. The rooms have one bedroom, a living room, a teeny alcove kitchen, and a bathroom. They told me they have activities.

My parents apartment smelled like cigarette smoke, although the complex is supposed to be non-smoking. We complained and nothing was done. The housekeeping was supposed to be done every other week, but only happened occasionally when I called to check. They lost and messed up my parent's sheets and towles with those of other residents and I have had to buy new sets of sheets. Allow a lot of time if you want to ask a question or for any assistance at the fron desk. No one is very responsive or helpful. There are no ramps where there are stairs. One pays a lot just for a mediocre apartment and meals, and one can get very tired of eating in that same place every day. No way was there anything--food, ambiance, assistance--that made this place worth the cost--or the cost of replacing the linens. As soon as you need to hire in-home help, the costs sky rocket.

Atria Bell Court Gardens looks like my home. It is like a home and not institutional. I'm not too happy with the food, but everything else is 100%. All of the staff are very nice, very helpful, and friendly. I have a 600-plus-square feet apartment, and it is very nice. They have all kinds of exercises, classes, games, arts and crafts, making beads, same old things. You name it, they got it. If you are lonesome or bored here, it is your fault, not theirs.

Atria Bell Court Gardens is like a resort. The surroundings and the landscaping is very beautiful. It would be something like a place for someone with little to go and spend some time on a vacation. It's really a very beautiful place. They're also very nice there. The population there participates in the activities, and they feel that they're very active. It's a very stimulating place to be. I thought that was very nice. The rooms were very comfortable, and they have nice accommodation.

Atria Bell Court Gardens was very nice. It's in a very nice location. I was picked up and brought there and the staff who picked me up was a wonderful person. She showed me the accommodations. They also showed me their activity room, exercise room and their library. They're all nice. However, the facility itself didn't seem to be decorated as fancy as other places. They had very plain decorations. I think they should consider purchasing better paintings to hang on the wall. Everything was beautiful, but it looked like they didn't spend any money on artwork. What they had were very cheap and out of proportion decorations. Also this facility would be too expensive for me. However, if anyone asks, I would recommend it. I did have a wonderful lunch at Atria. Their food was very good. They had an excellent chef.

I have been living in Atria Bell Court Gardens for two years now. It is in a nice location, which is just a block from Saint Joseph's Hospital and there are lots of doctors in the area. It is an old building with modern Tucson touch in it and it's beautiful. There are studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. We have games and outings. The operating staff was wonderful. The dining room personnel were great. However, there's no one on call twenty-four hours.

This facility has 141 apartments. It is 2 story and used to be an old mansion built in 1800s. It is very nice looking and well maintained inside and out.The decor is beautiful. One bedroom apartments. They have emergency lights, They include all utilities and cable. Currently they are offering discounts through September. The grounds are nice and have two courtyard with greenery, flowers, and patio. There are sitting areas, walking paths, and a fountain. There is a bbq area. They have a heated pool and a spa with a bathhouse. They have a large veranda which overlooks the pool and spa and offers great views of the mountains and landscape. There is an off leash dog run. They do only assisted living and respite. However, if residents do need extra assistance or require help with meds etc., they do have an agency for in house home care. They have doctors close for appointments and currently arranging for a house doctor. They have a nurse practitioner which comes in a few times a week and for bp checks and shots. All care givers are certified. They offer three meals and snacks daily in their dining room with a good variety. The food is great. They have a beauty shop. They have a very active activities department. They do about 290 activities on calender including in house games, entertainment, wine and cheese hour, birthday parties and bbqs. They have neumerous outings to events and shopping. Their van runs 7 days a week. They have an exercise program as well. This is a beautiful facility with a great, caring staff.
