I toured Fellowship Square Surprise. The whole atmosphere there was bright and cheerful. It just gave you a really nice feeling. It was very inviting. The staff members were excellent. They were very nice. They answered all our questions. I looked at a two-bedroom, two-bath and a one-bedroom. They were a little bit smaller than the ones at the other place, but they were nice. The common dining area was very nice and large. I saw some residents making some crafts. They have plenty of activities. They have a library, a movie theater, and a swimming pool. The community itself is large.

Fellowship Square Surprise was a brand-new facility and it was faith-based. The prices were reasonable. The staff was knowledgeable to answer questions and I was satisfied even with the minimal interaction I had with them. The facility was just a couple of years old, so it was new and bright. The residents seemed to be engaged in the areas that I saw. I had a good impression of the place. At the time I was there, it was like Cinco De Mayo. So, they had decorations for that. And I happened to see some residents that were either playing cards or playing games.

Fellowship Square Surprise was very nice and very reasonable. They give you like 25 points for meals, so you can use them as you wish. The food was okay, but some people didn't like it. They have housekeeping and activities

My father-in-law is in Fellowship Square Surprise. He's in independent living in that facility and he's going to continue up until he starts declining, and then we're going to go ahead and move him to assisted living and then after a while, we're going to go ahead and do the memory care in the same facility. He had some friends at the Fellowship Square, so he decided to just stay there and stay with the people that he's familiar with. That was the biggest reason for staying in Arizona, plus he loves the weather there. He's been enjoying himself there. He's been using the facility for exercise, he's been joining daily events, and he likes the food. They serve some of the top-notch food like high-quality food every day. It's been very positive. Everyone there is friendly and very interested in working there. The building is very clean, very open, super-bright, and has an airy feeling about it. There's a lot of natural light. It's a new facility. They have something to do every day. They have healthy competitive games, one of them is Nintendo bowling. They also have Bridge tournaments. They have a presenter come in and present his work, and they have a music program and field trips. When Covid hit, it was hard to do it though. They have religious services, a fitness center, and an opportunity to work one-on-one with a personal trainer, and they have a swimming pool. They also do trips to go grocery shopping, go to the bank, post office, etc. Everything he needs is there. It's a beautiful facility, and it's not too congested. They have a weekly schedule there, so they get to know what's going on, which is a plus. They have a common room where they can go ahead and watch TV and play some card games and watch some films. There's a whole bunch of activities there. It's cheaper than over here in North Carolina where I'm at for what you get.

My mom lived in Fellowship Square Surprise and it's been a good experience. They're very good there and the staff is friendly and nice. The food is good, I've tasted the food and there's a lot of selections. They have fitness classes either in person or you could meet over the TV, they have a beautiful pool, gym, playing rooms and theater. It's new, the size of her 2-bedroom apartment is large. It's a busy area and there's everything you could ever need and want within a few miles. The hospital that she uses is not far away.

My mother is at Fellowship Square Surprise, and they made arrangements to move her to a different apartment. I've been very pleased with it. It was my mother that was having some issues. They listen, they take care of my issues for me, and they work with me. They're good. We moved her to a bigger apartment. She was in a one-bedroom, one-bath, and now she's in a two-bedroom, two-bath. They have a separate facility behind them that's assisted. They have walking paths, a swimming pool, koi pond, and different areas where they have little barbecues and sitting areas. They get one meal a day with their meal allowance, but the food was one of her complaints. We've been locked out since March as visitors.
