The sales rep gives a hard sell. When I went to visit, she was more interested in getting the paperwork signed than other questions. She misrepresented numerous "perks". The food is horrible...and despite a new chef, it actually got worse. I'm giving notice. Waste of money. Staff generally nice, but the corporate ones act like they have an iron fist. "Happy Hour" is 3x week, for 1 hour. 2 1/3 glasses of wine, or 2 beers. No hard liquor, that the saleswoman mentioned. False advertising. I don't even drink. Kitchens in rooms are nice. The residents are very sweet. 5 stars to them.

La Sonora at Dove Mountain in Tucson is brand new. Their dining room is top shelf. It's beautiful, just beautiful. The staff was fabulous. Anything you want, they're very eager to meet your needs. Structure-wise as far as the facility is perfect. They have room for entertainment, arts and crafts, and bingo. They have a pool table and a pool. Each room has its own thermostat, for your heating and cooling. It's all included in your price. They have parking for your car, some are covered, mostly it's not, and it's $40 extra for a covered parking spot. They have all the exercise rooms and they have trainers regularly in the exercise rooms for all your taekwondo, and exercises in chairs, or not. They have an hour on Fridays and a bistro-type room beside their dining room. Their outside has very, very minimal greenery. It's brand new, so nothing has grown up yet, and it kind of sits on a hill. About 50% of their rooms have really good views. They're almost full and have waiting lists.

La Sonora at Dove Mountain in Tucson was very nice. The apartments were pretty spacious and overall we liked the place. The lady who toured us was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She was great. They have a movie theater and a bistro. The dining room also looked very good and they gave us a decent portion of food to bring some home.

I toured La Sonora at Dove Mountain in Tucson. It was new. The units were very nice. I think they were upgraded, like granite countertops and things. But my negative about that was no swimming pool. I think a lot of seniors would like to take water aerobics. The facilities were nice and new. Everybody was nice. They have book readings, a library, and activities like bingo, and so on and so forth, for the people. I had a sandwich, which was good. They didn't know I wanted to have lunch, but they went and made a sandwich for myself and my sister. The sandwich was good because I didn't have a meal there. It was nice inside the building. However, I didn't like the outside of the building because it was kind of weird looking.

I've chosen La Sonora at Dove Mountain for myself. It's the closest one to my daughter and it was a good price. The staff is very nice. I don't have any problems. I'm independent living, so I don't have to interact a whole lot, but I have no problems. The food is OK. I like it here. I don't have any issues with it. I've seen a few activities. They do nailcare, they file and polish our nails, we have a tea party, they're doing pumpkin painting, and they make wreaths and different things like that. I think they're very reasonably priced, and they do a good job.
