My mother moved into the independent living of Scottsdale Village Square. The staff members are smiley and friendly. They seem busy and hardworking, and they're nice. My mother has a 1-bedroom with a bathroom and a very small balcony. She likes it. She also likes the view because it faces an open courtyard with trees and the mountain. That's one of the things she likes about the community. She has a refrigerator but no stovetop or anything like that. They provide the food for the seniors. The food is OK, but it is kind of cafeteria food. They have five choices of entrees each night and three choices at lunch time. She seems neither displeased or pleased with it. They have some bus rides and outings to nearby scenery like mountains and lakes, they have a movie about once a week, they have an exercise class almost daily, and in the summer they have water aerobics.

I loved Scottsdale Village Square. The facility was nice, and I liked the location. They drive within 10 miles, so she would have transportation to her doctors. It had nice grounds, the people were friendly, the rooms were nice, and the staff was very helpful.

I looked at Scottdale Village, and as soon as I had some money in my account from my house sale, I would be moving there. I liked the place very much. The quality of the food, the presentation and the dining room were just exceptional. Everything was 1A, and everything was good.
