I chose Thunderbird Senior Living myself because of the friendly people and the many activities that I can do. It has a homey feeling to it. The staff is very helpful and caring, and they take time with you. We have many choices for food and they taste good. We have card games, and arts and crafts. We have a beauty shop, an exercise room, and a gym.

Thunderbird Senior Living had a nice community feel to it. It was clean and they offered a lot of activities. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and very caring. They had a bunch of amenities, like a movie screening room, puzzle areas, activity rooms for things like crafts, a pool table, and an outdoor swimming pool. The whole floor was designed to allow walking to the halls. It was almost like in a big rectangle. They showed us a demonstration of what meal was being served that day, and it looked fine.

Thunderbird Senior Living in Glendale was okay, it was nice and clean when I saw it. It seemed decent. The person who assisted me, Katie, was good and she was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The tour was very thorough and she offered a lot of assistance. She was wonderful, she called me to follow up to try to see if I was going to be able to bring my dad in. I liked her. She remembered who I was too.
The room I saw was cute, it seemed a little too small to me but enough for one person so it's okay.
They have a lot of activities for people. They have a room to watch movies and do arts and crafts. I think they have a bus that takes people places too.
The price was good, they have move-in specials and things like that so financially, it was really good. It's a little bit of an older building but it wasn't poorly done.

I'm going to Thunderbird Senior Living. It's closest to my doctors and it's close to the people that I hang around with. The staff, Katy, was very good. The apartments were very nice. It's perfect for me. The surroundings were very nice. It's residential and it's convenient to anything that I need and I'm looking for at this point. It has all the amenities that I need.

The facilities at Thunderbird Senior Living were super duper nice, everything looks aesthetically pleasing. The gal that I met with was great and everything was super nice. The room they showed me was also nice, though it's a little bit expensive than the one we ended up choosing. The dining area was really nice, I could see what the residents were eating and also saw the menu, it was all really nice. It also looked like they're accommodating special diets. They have activities that would have been interesting for my grandmother.

Recently changed management. Food has slipped from good to edible. Social hour activities and food has gone from good/excellent to fair. Work orders are taking so much longer. Staff is friendly but items and concerns are not being addressed promptly. Old and very small apartments with no washer/dryer. Apts are in desperate need of updates to also include new appliances.

My mother moved into Thunderbird Senior Living last December 29th. We liked the community and my mom likes it. Its very clean, but she was complaining about the food lately. My moms in the residential side, and theyve been very helpful in a lot of different ways. They have crafts, cards, and their dining room is pretty large. Ive eaten there once, I thought their food is pretty good, and like restaurant style. The price was a little on the high side. I liked that somebody doesnt have to walk far to do something, and its inside. You dont have to expose an elderly person to the elements to go have an activity or to go and have lunch. Thats the biggest key factor.

Thunderbird Senior Living is a good place. It's really a positive atmosphere. A lot of people have pets and they bring them down to the lobby for others to see and pet. It has a good and friendly climate. Their services are great. The dining area is restaurant quality, and they have wait staff. My mom has a full kitchen in her apartment. Her room is very nice. It's a one-bedroom with a kitchenette, a big living room, a big bedroom, and a full handicap accessible bath. The facilities are impeccable. The place is extremely clean, there's staff members always walking around so you can always get help, they have a bistro where you have unlimited coffee, tea, etc., and if you don't want to eat a big lunch, you can get a burger, hot dog, or sandwich. They have a full calendar every day with multiple activities, but they don't force you into anything. The people are friendly and welcoming, and they invite you into new groups if you want to play bocce ball, cards, or checkers. They have suites for guests. When my mom moved in, I stayed in the guest house, which is basically a unit like hers, but it's set up like a hotel room. It's great, but my suggestion is you should treat it like a hotel room. I booked it for six days straight, but I never had fresh towels and I never had my waste baskets emptied, but the price is reasonable. They just remodeled the whole place.

My brother was in Thunderbird Senior Living for over a year, and he made very good friends who he thoroughly enjoyed. The lobby area was a communal gathering place that was always full of people talking to each other and enjoying each other's company. I thought that would be a great place for him. I did not like that was once he went in there, they thought they owned him, and he told the people who ran the place that if I call seeking information on him, to let him know. On several occasions he called the paramedics and went to the hospital and he was out of touch with me and I could not get a hold of him. I would call them, and they would say, "We're going to check on him," and then I'd call back and see if they did check on him, and they would say, "We checked on him." I would say, "Is he OK? Can you tell me anything?" They would say, "No, we cannot tell you anything." That was infuriating to me. As it turned out, he died by himself in his room. I absolutely would not go to Thunderbird. If they had privacy rules, that's understandable, but you have to bend a little bit when somebody's sister who is on his list of people to be contacted calls to see how he is. I'm sure the staff meant well but they needed more training in human relationships. I had lunch there and the food was good. It was redone not too long ago, and it's well maintained and much nicer than it used to be. My dad was there 30 years ago.

Thunderbird Senior Living was very nice. We liked the pond and the dining area. The apartments were very nice, which were more studio-like. We saw a calendar of activities.

I visited Thunderbird. I did not like the place much. It had nothing to do with the people that were there. They were very friendly and very nice. I just didn’t care for the place. My sister went with me, and she didn’t like it either. There were an awful lot of old people. I didn’t feel comfortable in the place. It was a feeling-thing; it wasn’t anything I can put my finger on. We looked at a dining room, and we looked at a place they called the bistro where you can get coffee and snacks. We looked at the rooms, but I did not care for the place. They also had an exercise room; it was very nice. They had a computer room too. Everything was adequate.

We settled on Thunderbird, and we like the amenities and the whole general look and layout of the place. They have two meals a day. The gardens around it are very nice. The room sizes are to our liking, especially the two-bedroom unit. Just based on the tour, we thought it was a very good place. It's on the top of the list.

Thunderbird Retirement was very clean, the halls were clean and everything, and the grounds are very nice and beautiful. The restaurant is great; you choose from a menu. I had lunch there, and it was really very good. Everybody that I took there -- my son, my sister, and a friend who know me very well -- they all like the place and thought I would be very happy there. They have a lot of different classes that I want to take advantage of.

My sister and I looked at many and visited 3 centers looking for one that would be the right fit for our parents. As soon as we walked into Thunderbird, we were impressed with the warm atmosphere. Many people were in the lounge as you walk in, and they were talking, walking, reading newspapers and having fun. They also have many activities for the residents to do, and my parents have since moved in and joined some groups. Their apartment there is very spacious and the meals are wonderful. (We can eat with them for a small fee!) We always feel very welcome when we visit our parents. Thunderbird will also listen to suggestions and will implement classes and outings if residents want to do something. Also, the grounds are very beautiful and well-kept. There is one hall that is dedicated to assisted living, so some day, if needed, our parents can go to that portion of the retirement center.

I had a friend who lived at Thunderbird Retirement Resort. We didn't get to see her that day, but it was a very nice place. We were there for a seminar about widows' benefits from Veterans and we ended up taking the tour to see what it was like. It was very appealing and they had a very nice dining room where you ordered from a menu, it wasn't a fix menu, and they didn't even charge us, which was extra nice. It was a very nice place, they were very friendly people, and the rooms were fairly large. They had out of the building activities and a lot of different craft activities. My friend actually left there and went someplace else, but she came back, so what does that tell you? It is a nice place, she has a nice apartment, and she is very happy there. The food was very good. It seemed like a congenial place to be in. The few staff people that we spoke with were very nice and gave us information. The fact that we were not there to look at it, but we did look at it, made it even nicer because we did not expect it to be that nice.

My mom moved to Thunderbird Retirement Resort. I moved her in there because it's just right across the street from where I live. The cost was also much better than other places for everything they have. The staff are excellent, and they know everybody there. The staff has been there a long time. The rooms are very nice. They also offer meals there.

We moved into Thunderbird Retirement Resort. We've been here for three weeks now, and so far we like it and we have no complaints. We are very pleased with this facility. The food has been good so far. We actually like the location because it's near to my oncologist. They have a good location and good price. They have quite a few activities, although we just haven’t been able to take advantage of them because we are still busy moving out of our other house. The staff here are all very friendly. I haven’t had a bad situation with any of them.

Our parents have moved to Thunderbird Retirement Resort and my brother and I are extremely happy that all units come with a life alert button and they have a system of checking on their residents that is none invasive. They are extremely involved. Safety and help is a priority. Their location is very close to doctor's offices and hospitals which is almost directly across the street
