I have been here at The Palazzo for 6 months now. It is a very nice community. The staff is great. They provide a lot of activities and we have entertainment coming in several times a week. We do bingo twice a week, and arts and crafts. The food is not very good - one day it's good, the next day it's awful. I have a very small patio outside my unit. What I wish they would have is walking trails. I have a walker and it's not easy to navigate partly on the sidewalk and partly on the gravel. The maintenance people have been good. They help us twice a month.

I went to The Palazzo. I didn't like the area per se, but the inside of the place was good and it was convenient to shopping areas. The staff was very good. It was clean and well-kept up. The layout was nice. They had things for the seniors to do like water aerobics, trips where they'll take you to Wal-Mart, and bingo night. They just had a lot of things to keep them from being bored.

I did a tour of The Palazzo. They weren't as good of a financial deal because they are not offering as much food. You just had a continental breakfast, and then one other meal and that was it. So, it was more expensive. It was a pretty place; it looked like it'd be very nice, but I wanted a little more stuff done for me if I don't want to have to cook. They're not enough meals. The Continental Breakfast, to me, is a roll and coffee or something. That's usually what a continental means, it's just something to eat with. They go for coffee, and maybe juice, and then just one other meal. I would have to figure out what to do for myself.
I believe the room was very nice; the grounds and everything was nice. I noticed the lobby area was very attractive. The staff was very knowledgeable, very good. The facility is very beautiful. I thought it was very well-kept and a very impressive place, but my immediate feeling was that I didn't think I could afford it.

We saw one- and two-bedrooms at The Palazzo. It was a very nice, mixed community. The layout of the rooms was adequate for a senior that needs space. Nothing was cramped, nothing was tight. The downside of this particular location was that the washer and dryer were not located in the room. Other than that, the eating area was nice, the cafe was nice, the bar piano area was nice, and the amenities were great. Everything was really good for a senior that needed to be independent. The shopping was two blocks away. There's a light rail line in front of the building, so there is no way that they would be stuck where they couldn't get around. I would rate this place high and the cost of living there was very, very reasonable. It was one of the most reasonable places that we saw.
The staff is excellent. We have friends that live there, and while we're there, the staff is always polite and always helpful. There's always a cookie at the counter if you need one. The people that do the tour are very knowledgeable. They can tell you everything about the building and this is a multi-use building. There is a building for independent, a building for assisted, and I believe there's also memory care and a rehabilitation building. As a community, everything is available including a swimming pool.
This is a very good community. People come down to congregate and talk and mingle as a community. It's not one of the communities where I'm in my room and I never come down. It was a very, very friendly community. The staff is very good. If you needed something or somebody, the staff was there while we were there. There was always somebody asking, "Can we help you?" We never had food except for the cafe and that's coffee and little sandwiches. The food we took was good, but we never ate in the dining area. They just redid the building, so all the amenities were upgraded.

The Palazzo is very impressive. The place is very good, very clean, and very pretty, and the staff is excellent. It's beautiful and they offer a lot of amenities. The prices are excellent. They have full kitchens, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, and an exercise facility.

The lady that toured me in The Palazzo was very helpful. The thing that I liked the most about their rooms was that they were open. It was a model unit and you can use a queen size bed in it. They also had the cable TV hooked up ready, but you need to provide your own furniture. I think she gave me a calendar of the activities and it showed that they do different things every day. The facility was big with a long hallway, but it was very compact. The receptionist had me sit down, then Vicky came and we talked while we went to the tour. They said that they take the residents to shopping and stuff, but I didn't see where their buses or vans were. They probably have it but she didn't take me there, she just took me to see the model unit.

We were very impressed with the units at The Palazzo, they were very nice. I like the size and the layout, they were very beautiful. They just went through a renovation and it's very nice. Their dining area was also very nice, they had a movie room and a library. Their amenities were really very good. It has independent living, assisted living and memory care as well. I met one resident there during my visit and I was very impressed by him.

The Palazzo had pretty much what we were looking for in our price range. It's being renovated extensively, but from what we saw, it met our needs. It wasn't too fancy and it wasn't a dump. The residents that we met and talked to seemed to be the kind of people that we would like to be friends with. The food was pretty good and certainly acceptable. The variety that was offered every day was very nice and adequate. They were tasty and seemed to be what we were looking for. There were health-related activities geared towards the elderly like exercises and pool exercises, they bring in people once in a while for specific programs, they bring in ballet and musical groups, and they have services that take the residents to and from shopping and food. The staff was very nice.

I went to The Palazzo. It was very nice, and the grounds looked good with gazebos. The staff was very friendly and polite. I saw the 1-bedroom there, and it was more than efficient. They serve 2 meals a day -- breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner.

The people who work at The Palazzo weren't nice. I did my own cooking and cleaning. What I really didn't like was I had to use the laundry with everybody else, and I wanted a private washer and dryer because I had things stolen. The place was OK, but the workers were bad. I couldn't eat the food there because it was too salty. I had a very nice kitchen in my apartment with lots of cupboards. I had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a living room/dining room combination, 2 closets in the master bedroom, and 1 closet in the other room.

The new name is the Palazzo. It has changed hands two times since I've been here, and I've only been here for a year. First of all, it was close enough to my son's home to make it convenient. Second of all, they had a two-bedroom apartments which is what I wanted. The price at the time seemed like something I could handle. They do have ongoing amenities of entertainment, parties, bingo, games, and Wii bowling, so there are things that make it attractive to me. They have three areas for independent living. They have independent living, assisted living, and an Alzheimer's group. I'm in the independent living, and I like that. Those are the things that attracted me to this place. This new place took over on May 1st, so it's totally brand new.

It is a very nice place. It's like a city, and it's too overwhelming for my mother-in-law. The apartments were very nice. The only thing I didn’t like about it is that they have a long hallway to walk to get to your apartment.

It was a large place, and there were lots of people there. They had a lot going on for the people who live there. They had a deli and an ice cream shop. They had tables and chairs to play cards at, they had couches on the side and other chairs, and there were groups of people who can gather there and visit. It was really nice. The facility itself is very close to a mall. They have outings all the time. You can sign up to go to the mall or to go to the church. They would take people to the theatre, so there were different things for them. They had a big hallway to go to the rooms, and it was really wide. You can get from your room to anywhere that you need to go without going outside. You can go from building to building. I looked at the menu they had, and it was a really good menu. You get one meal a day, either lunch or dinner. They had a little deli there where they have different salads, sandwiches, and drinks. Of course, you have to pay for that yourself. It is not free.

It was very good. It was affordable. They were very good and very helpful. The rooms I saw was going to be renovated. They do have a pool and a great cafeteria. I like the little walkway they have there. It was like a little village.
It's very nice. The reason why I did not go there is because it's a little bit too far south, and it was away from where I wanted to be.
