Fellowship Square in historic mesa is a wonderful facility. I have my own apartment but they take care of everything (dining, house cleaning, laundry, etc).
There are 2 dining rooms with a full menu to select from and the menu changes every week. On days I can't get out - they bring the food to me.
Staff is friendly and quick to respond. I am blessed to have found this place
I do NOT recommend this facility
Food is horrible, tasteless, cold and disgusting. Either overcooked or undercooked. Oftentimes EXTREMELY salty. The Director is quite aware of all the many many food complaints, but obviously doesn’t care. The food has been going downhill for the last 2 years. You can’t opt out of food either, because they tell you it’s included in your rent, so many, many residents are paying rent for food delivery that’s inedible, that they throw right in the trash after opening the box. It’s not any better in the dining room either. I pay $1058 for a studio, and don’t eat the disgusting food because I got food poisoning twice, and know of others too, so now I have to pay for additional groceries to cook my own food. The stock answer for everything that’s going wrong from the Director is, “We are working on it”, but nothing ever happens or changes. As soon as my apartment at a different facility is ready, I’m out of here. A lot of residents can’t afford to move and are stuck here, but a LOT of residents have already moved out, and the main reason is the food. It’s especially the worst in the West side kitchen/dining room because the sous chef in that kitchen doesn’t care either. If they did, the food would never leave the kitchen looking like it does. The grounds are very nice, and there are a lot of activities, but if you like to eat good food this is not where you want to live, because it’s not getting better, it gets worse every day.

We went to Fellowship Square. We were very impressed. It's the best that we had seen. It was a very good experience, and we even had lunch. They took us to lunch in the dining room. We had a very nice lunch. Their facilities are very clean, very modern, and updated. Their kitchens had new stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers in the room. Everything was top notch, including the TV service. They even had Alexa state of the art electronics.
The food was great. We had salmon. Well, we had three different meals. My brother went, my mother, and myself. I had salmon with baked potatoes. I had the soup. It was an excellent meal, and we also had dessert.

My family and I are highly suspicious of the safety of this community. My grandmother's apartment has been robbed several times and knows other residents with similar stories. Management seems to be doing nothing about it and the police are called frequently. Think very carefully before letting your loved ones move in here.

I have moved into Fellowship Square. It is a very friendly place. Most of the people are very friendly. It is very convenient to have your meals. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is very helpful. If you have a problem and you need help, they'll do their best to find the person to take care of it. I have an apartment, but there are more than one option.
There are exercise groups, exercise rooms, cards, and other types of games. There is always something going on. They have a library, they do scheduled trips, and they take people shopping and to doctor's, but they also schedule other trips. Meals are very good and they're partially paid by your rent. They have something happening all the time, but I haven't participated in any of that yet.

Fellowship Square at Mesa was a pleasant place and would have been my mom's second choice. She liked it very much, and is very similar to her current community. The staff and facilities are great.

I liked the feature in Fellowship Square that you don't have to eat all at the same time. You could go down in different hours to eat your meals. The menu was more varied, but it was more money also. It was more of a restaurant style. You would go in and chose your menu. They had exercise classes. They had exercise equipment.
At Fellowship Square, you could transition from independent living to assisted living if you had to. It was accessible to hospital and mall. I would recommend it.

A lady I know from church is staying at Fellowship Square Brown & Center, and she is very happy there. I like that one very much, but you do have to go outside and go from one building to another. My sister-in-law is in a walker, and we thought it would be easier for her to be in one building. There were different rooms like one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or one-bedroom with den. There were a lot of patios, and the floor plans were interesting. I met a few people in the sales department, and they were very friendly. They had bingo and wood working. I liked the atmosphere, and it seemed friendly. We were there once on Mother's Day, and they had dinner for the family and friends of the residents.

The biggest factor about Fellowship Square in Mesa is that it's a very clean facility. The people are very friendly and the staff were great. My mom has a small apartment and it's really nice because they have high ceilings.
