I visited Brookdale Springs Mesa. They offered just about anything you wanted. We just met one, but she was very accommodating. She told us what was available, showed us around, and the type of apartment we would have. She was very thorough in her explanation. The rooms were beautiful. The size is more than adequate. They were pleasant and more like a home. The dining area was like a restaurant. The grounds were very clean. They have a place where you could invite guests like to meet for a get-together. They had fitness rooms. There was nothing I could see wrong with it at all.

Brookdale Springs Mesa is like a five-star hotel. They have a lot of staff to help their residents. Everything is inside, so you don't have to go outside in the heat here in Arizona. They have two beautiful courtyards and pools. They have lots of facilities and lots of activities for the residents to participate in.

We toured Brookdale Springs Mesa and we liked pretty much everything. However, the fact that they didn't have a 2-bedroom with two beds was a little disappointing.
It was very well taken care of. I guess it's like 30 years old, but they do a good job of taking care of it. The person who gave us the tour was knowledgeable and informative. They have a salon for haircuts and hair styling, they had an exercise room and a good dining room.
A little lower cost might help because I don't know that we can afford it.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was excellent. It looked like everything's been recently remodeled. The staff and residents were both very nice. The tour was really good. They reached out and contacted us. The person who gave the tour was personable, very attentive, and made sure to follow up with us. She did an excellent job. We liked the layout and it was more secure than the other one. Their one-bedroom was probably more than we needed for my mom. They had a refrigerator, a freezer, and a countertop, an electric two burner. Then you provide your own coffee maker and microwave. They also have a pool, a hot tub, ponds, and fountains around in the center part of it.

I toured Brookdale Springs Mesa. The staff was very personable. He explained everything very well. No pressure and I appreciated it. He told me to let him know and he will get back to me in a couple of weeks or so. He's giving me time to decide on what I want to do, so I appreciate that. It's a very nice place. Everyone that I met was very, very nice. I had spoken to a young lady on the phone before I spoke with Brendon, and they were very nice. I saw her when I was there, and I enjoyed speaking with them. They were very informative.
The facility was very nice. They have a jacuzzi, they have outdoor seating, the residents can go and come, and they have bus service. They also have like an alarm where you pull that cord. The apartments themselves were very nice and very clean. The place was clean. They were getting ready to play bingo when I was there, and the residents were filing in to play the bingo. The residents that I saw were all very friendly. It was a very nice feeling there.

I went to Brookdale Springs Mesa. That was the best out of all of them. The physical appearance was very good. The lady that did the tour was excellent. She took us to different places within the facility. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of it and all the amenities that you receive for the amount. They offer veteran discounts. They do a wellness check in the morning at 10:00, so that was very impressive. They make sure that everybody is still alive. They showed us the calendar of activities. It was in an elevator. They told me about the different activities that they offer. It is great during this time. Coming off a pandemic, everybody was being careful. It was just a short tour, but I was very impressed.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was a very nice facility. The woman that we met with (I did not like) I thought was very condescending and rude. The rooms or apartments were a little on the small side, but they were pretty nice. They were remodeling, so everything looks brand new. The outdoor spaces were very nice. They do indoor games, reading, and movies.

I had a tour at Brookdale Springs Mesa, but they didn't expect me. They did have somebody that showed me around, but she wasn't a sales person; she didn't know some of the things that probably would have been a good idea.
It was very, very nice. The place has just been remodeled, and they did an awesome job. The grounds are beautiful. The people all seem to be happy and in little clusters talking. They have a lot of activities, and they have a lot of meal choices (including two meals a day).
The apartment was very nice, and everyone had their own little patio area or balconies. Their days are packed with activities. There's just a lot of opportunities to be able to get out, be happy, things to do, and places to go. They do have vans that go to several places every day. The people really seem to be happy.

The people at Brookdale Springs Mesa were friendly. I saw people playing bingo and they looked like they were having a grand time. Everywhere we walked, people were saying hello and greeting you. They were very friendly throughout. It's under construction a little. They were doing a little bit of work, but just upgrading some things. The one thing I wish they'd put in their brochures that I didn't realize is more pictures because they give you layouts, but they don't give you pictures of the inside of the facility, so you forget real easy when you tour.
The grounds were beautiful, and the courtyard was gorgeous. It was an awesome location. The room was very pretty, laid out well, and convenient. I kinda wish the balcony was a little bit bigger, but the rooms themselves were big and roomy. It was a beautiful place, clean, and smelled good. It had a very friendly and very comfortable feel. I didn't meet much of the staff, but everybody seemed friendly. I met some nurses in the hall, and some people who were cleaning, and they were all very friendly. I felt very comfortable.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was nice and clean, but I didn't like the laundry facility. It wasn't as handy. Also the decorations were too fancy, dressy, and lacy; it just wasn't my style. The staff was nice and friendly enough and she showed me around. They had one room they could show that they were renovating; however, they didn't make any offers to take the carpet out. It comes as it is. The place wasn't my style. Nevertheless, they showed me the activities and they showed me places where they have them. They have cards, a movie theater, nice walking areas, a exercise room, and a room for cards, puzzles, and games. The dining area was too fancy. The place was nice and clean, but it wasn't in the area I want to live in. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Brookdale Springs Mesa is a very nice, classy-looking place. I really like it. However, when I called them, they said, "We have nothing right now, and we don't anticipate having anything in the future." Their apartments aren't any nicer or newer. They are the same size as with the rooms in the other community; however, it was fancier. They provide three meals.

My mother is in Brookdale Springs Mesa. They're very good to her and assist in making her bed and doing the sheets once a week. They have a laundry facility. They come in to give my mother her pills at designated times. It is a very beautiful community. The staff is very friendly, very cordial, and very polite. They're exceptional. My mother goes to church and plays bingo every once in awhile. The food is good and caters to the seniors; there's no seasoning. After a few years, you start getting tired of the food.

We went to Brookdale Springs Mesa. They had amenities, but we are not interested in the apartments. We want a place by itself. The dining area was clean and very nice with table cloths. They had a game room, a library, and a lounge. I didn’t talk to any of the staff, but they seemed friendly. I think the community was clean and orderly, and the employees acted professionally and courteously.

Everything at Brookdale Springs Mesa was very good. We went over and had lunch with them. There were 3 major items on the menu plus they had a whole bunch of standard items that was on there: hamburgers, hotdogs, chef’s salads, just anything you’d want. The food was very good; portions were very adequate. We had a real nice dessert.
We talked to a couple of residents there; they were friendly and very happy and they had been there quite a while. One lady said that she had moved from another facility about 4 years ago and she was real happy with Brookdale Springs Mesa. We saw a bunch of ladies having popcorn and getting on a bus so the activities seemed good.
The room was very adequate. Since you have all your meals downstairs, you don’t need an oven but the 2-bedroom that we looked at had a microwave in it that evidently was not in all of them but it was in that one. The floors looked good and the carpet seemed new. The view was nice; the grounds outside was very well kept. Could not find any negatives about it.

I liked the Springs of East Mesa. I thought their dining area was wonderful. They reminded me more of a country club or a nice restaurant. It was really big, just a little too big for what we've thought for my dad because it wasn't just assisted living. It is independent living and assisted living kind of co-combined with a very small portion under assisted, so that was kind of one thing we didn't like about it because they didn't seem to give focus on the assisted living. I didn't feel that he would get quite as much of individualized care there. Also, they had kind of a central area and then they had wings spreading out from there that made the apartments pretty far from the central area and it looked like they only had one elevator, which wasn't so good either for getting up and down because there were living areas or activity areas that were upstairs and downstairs. So that made it a little more difficult for my dad. The other thing was the apartments had a stove in there, which I did not like. That idea for someone living under assisted living to have burners, I didn't think that was a good idea. The grounds were very pretty. They had some outdoor areas as well as a pool. It is located in a nice neighborhood. It is very close to doctors and other assisted and memory care and nursing homes. They are kind of all in that area and a bunch of doctors' offices are there. Another thing I didn't like about it was they had an amazingly huge menu for every, single, different kind of assisted care, and we felt that we would never know what the actual cost was going to be every month; this was actually the biggest reason why we did not choose the Springs. They need better, clearer pricing for assisted living and no stoves in the assisted living apartments.

When we were checking Springs of East Mesa, the marketing people were very professional and anxious to get to business, but we told them that we were going back and forth between them and another place I work for. And we let Mother make the choice. The facility is just wonderful. We're very pleased. It's getting better expenses because Mom's needs have changed just in the short time she was there. From the other places I've seen, the rooms here are far superior. The price is even better. The base price is lower compared to other facilities. The apartment is even nicer. As well as an engaging and personable staff, they have a phenomenal dining room. I think that's one of the reasons why she chose this place, that the dining room appears like that of a cruise ship. It's attractive and appealing. The waiters learned her name right away and called her by that. They know us, and as soon as they see us, they know that she is our mother. Mother has difficulty eating now, so she's having a hard time enjoying how nice it really is. They have several activities that she doesn't participate in because of her age and lack of interest. They have bingo, a favorite thing that is played several times a week. It's engaging, and that she does do. I really don't have anything bad to say about them.

My grandmother is at The Springs of East Mesa. It serves its purpose. If something happens, there's a medical staff on site. I've eaten there, the food is good. For me, it seems fresh and of good quality. I think it's pretty satisfactory, but maybe they can just have more activities.
The only thing that she doesn't like about her apartment, and I guess it's pretty subjective, is when you walk in there's a tiled foyer area and then to the left is the small, tiled kitchen with an island and two stools. This is a one bedroom apartment with a carpeted family room. She doesn't like that the kitchen and family room is divided by the tile and carpet. So, she would rather want it all tiled because she doesn't like the tile is raised up with the carpet, there's a little bump. That's the only complaint I heard from her.

I felt that the place looked very beautiful on the outside, but it was a little deceiving. The outside was very decorated with the water spring in the very front, but the inside was so old. Granted it is mainly for old people, but the inside could stand to be updated. Also the smell was not very pleasing either, but I am sure that it could be fixed with a little air freshener. The staff was very friendly since I was greeted with a smile and a hello upon walking in. I also had lunch there which was pretty tasty and filling. They also had a pool in the back which was less of a plus to me but more of a plus to the people living there. I was just a little weirded out by the amount of security that they had watching the stranger individuals. Other than that my experience was a standard one.

I really enjoyed this facility, and so did my grandmother. Through out the time she lived there i visited every time i made a visit to Arizona which was about once a year. The staff was always polite and did everything they could to help my grandmother with what she needed. With 3 meals a day and events and private games in the dinning area my grandmother never had a problem finding things to do. Along with the extremely nice staff the facilities where extremely nice too, i always felt comfortable with my grandmother living here. She was very happy living here and i couldn't have wanted here anywhere else.
