When my relative first moved in to this community everything was fine. Then ownership changed, many residents moved out. New administrators came in, not friendly at all. Maintenance staff very nice and helpful. I get the impression that this business is suffering financially because they cut corners whenever possible, one example the AC went out one night during the Summer and instead of calling for a service to repair they wanted to wait until the next day so they could avoid the additional cost of an after hours service call. My relative has respiratory disease and cannot breathe well in the heat, this was not acceptable so I called a service to come out that night to repair. I hope my relative will be moving to a different community as soon as the lease is up. This property has so much potential, it is a real shame that it is run so poorly. The food service is pretty good and the staff really seem to care about the residents. The property is beautiful and is in a good location. I hope this review inspires some changes and improvement in management.

Brookside Senior Living Community was very nice. The person during the tour was excellent, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. The dining area looked very nice. From what I've heard from the other guests, the food was good. I saw some of the results of the crafts that they've done. They have a beauty shop and a little library. The apartment looked very nice and very modern. It's all one-story and it's very small. There are only 16 people in the assisted living, so it's a little homier.

We moved into Brookside Retirement Community. It's a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, small house that's 1,250 square feet. They also have 1-bedroom apartments and 1-bedroom villas, but we didn't look at them because they were way more expensive. So far, the staff has been very helpful. However, there are some maintenance needs that we're going to have to get them to work on. There are very few activities, and they're more intended for assisted living. They have two levels here, independent and assisted.
