Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

If it were more consistent it'd be better.
It's a matter of getting personnel. They're not on time. There have been times when they've had to bring people from the office in to take care of me.

If we didn't have the services then we wouldn't be able to go to the doctors so that's been a positive experience.
I'd tell a friend that I like that when we call the office staff because we have a doctor's appointment they help send a caregiver who can take us there.

It is a transition period right now for the client. The caretaker needs to be able to work with her and have an open mind.
Right at Home seems to be dependable. Also when Lisa came in to do the interview and the assessment, it's nice that you get a professional to asses the situation.

I couldn't do anything without them. I can't use my right arm, so they help me with showering, cleaning, and they do a good job. They're always on time.

Their prices are very high. I see people who are not doing the work they are supposed to, the service doesn't match the cost.
There were some experiences that we had with caregivers where they acted unprofessional and complaining about the work they had to do.

Mom and Dad wanted to stay in their own home, and Right at Home allowed that to happen. Lisa not only answered our call for help, but she listened and put a custom care plan into place to provide overnight care and eventually 24-hour care, assessing and adjusting as Mom and Dad’s needs changed. Her team was compassionate and caring, and worked with the family at a level that was comfortable for everyone. Lisa’s caring and gentle nature, along with her healthcare background, allows her to develop a plan and put a team into place covering every need. Lisa checked in often with family members, and was always responsive to our questions and concerns. Working with Right at Home gave us peace of mind in knowing that Mom and Dad were well cared for and they were able to remain in their home as they wished.

I have used Right at Home for my mother's care since she can no longer take care of herself. I do not live close to her so I found this service to be exceptional in helping my mom out on a daily basis. They are at her home to give her her medications, prepare her meals, help her dress, bathe, remember to use her walker, clean her house and wash her clothes. They also spend lots of time talking with her and playing music that she enjoys listening and singing to. She has the same couple of caregivers on a daily basis, and is so happy when they are there. The home office staff visits her home weekly and is in contact with me regularly. If I need to speak to them, it is never a problem getting in touch with them. Being so far from my mom, Right at Home has truly given me peace of mind with her daily care.

I don't have to worry about my mom anymore because I know she is taken care of.

When my Mom, who has advanced Parkinsons, came home from a stay in the hospital, it was clear that she was going to be too much for my Dad to handle safely at home my himself; she could barely move and eating and getting to the bathroom were difficult and dangerous for just the two of them. My parents are both up there in age, and technology is difficult for them. My sister and I were left with the task of finding 24/7 in-home care very quickly; it was dangerous to have her at the house with just my Dad there because he couldn't move her by himself.
I saw the great reviews for Right at Home online and decided to give them a call. Lisa, the owner of the South Eastern branch, worked with me over the telephone to understand our situation. She was very knowledgeable and re-assuring. I called on a Friday, Lisa evaluated my Mom in person (with proper COVID precautions) on Saturday, and they were there Monday morning to help my Dad care for my Mom.
I can't tell you, in this very stressful and personal situation, what an immense relief it was to have someone available to help us that quickly.
They have been caring for my Mom 24/7 for about a month now. Lisa is always very responsive, and frequently cares for my Mom herself. She has worked with my family to understand our needs and fulfill them.

They have given me a little bit of relief from attending appointments for my loved one. They have done devotionals for him, which makes him talk, think about things, and express himself. When he is tired, they help with his daily activities. They do whatever he can't do.
We haven't been with them for a long time, only about five weeks. I would definitely tell people to consider them, but I'd wait longer before I recommend them.

I think they could have just had more experience, patience, and tolerance. The one girl that came was quite young and had only been working there for a month. The owner was older and more experienced, and she just handled my mother much better.
I would have liked a more experienced staff. The owner, Lisa, came quite a bit, and she was fantastic, but anyone else that came was pretty new and inexperienced.

They have taken a big weight off of my shoulders knowing that there is a company I can trust with health care individuals that can help my mom out. All of the workers have been very wonderful, and my mom enjoys them.
I like that there has been a great level of detail, and the manager has worked really hard to meet my mom's needs. I live far away, so she has been very helpful in managing my mom's case, given I am so far away.

I like the owner of the company. She is really easy to work with. We have really appreciated the two caregivers that have come in. I care for my husband when they are not here, so they are able to give me a break. They help me with the Hoyer lift and things of that nature.

It would be nice if the person that is taking me would leave their phone number so I can get a hold of them. If they are late, it should not come off of my time. They charged me ten dollars because she was late, which wasn't fair. They just need to be more open and give me calls.

They are responsive to requests. They always answer emails on time. They hired very good and reliable people who come in and show up. One caregiver would always visit me and my husband to make sure my husband was properly taken to a respite center while I was in the hospital. It's difficult for me to get out of the house without a caregiver's help. Some days, I need to be gone all day or for a long time, and they are very helpful and reliable.

The employees are outstanding. The person who does some scheduling and billing is excellent and the care-worker is outstanding. She has a good rapport with my mother, is very caring, and is very competent at handling my mother who has trouble getting up. I've been caring for my mother for a while and don't have to help her with her bathroom need anymore because of the caregiver.

I am upfront with people that most of the caregivers are young and still in school. The owner is experienced and gave me a lot of tips about the care for when I took over the care myself. However, the care is expensive and I dropped over $1000 in just two weeks. I felt reassured that I didn't have to worry about my husband when I went to work because I knew he was being taken care of.
