They provided caregivers in the evening hours.
We have care every evening, but when I hire them or encourage them to come during the day they cancel and are very irregular. I'll call and they let me know that they are going to be late or quit.

It is nice to have another set of eyes to makes sure I am helping her correctly. It eases my mine. It is mental relief. They correct me when I am wrong.
I had no problem until the weekends. I get a different person every time, and it took half the time to explain what to do, so now I am down to 3 days a week because I stopped the weekends.

I would expect someone to be here at 8 in the morning, but I get a call that they couldn't find anybody.
They should get some more reliable people.

The caregiver knew him well!
They could've had some additional staff. They were good for immediate care, but didn't do much cleaning or vacuuming or anything like.

I liked that once everything was scheduled it worked according to plan and she did what we asked her to do.

It was important to me, and they drove me. They offered to cut vegetables for me upon hearing that that was a problem for me.
I like the people that took care of me. Chelsea was very good for me.

We had a couple of people who didn't fit in with us, but they tried to find someone who did.
The agency was very cooperative. If I had to call, they dealt with it right away.

The agency could have made our life easier by having consistent caregivers come regularly.
For me to recommend them more, their process for assigning workers to patients was not satisfactory because I hoped we would be able to hire someone to come regularly each day and that the same person would come and instead they signed people up by posting the need for workers and having their staff sign up for the time required so they might come once or a couple of times and the lack of the consistency was trouble.

The biggest thing is that they provide the care that he needs.
Sometimes there are no shows, not very often, but it's a big deal when no one is there.

He sees someone else besides me 24/7 and they try to interact with him but he's not very responsive. He's not a talker though so what can you do.
It's not so much Brightstar it's who is coming to the house. It was simple. I asked her to do things and she didn't do them.

It's only been the last 6 months that it was hard to get the same caregiver. They are very professional.
We had a lot of caregivers come through here and that was not conducive to a happy house. If they downsized they may have a bit more consistency.

They are caring and do the few things that we ask them to do. It is just nice having them here to take care of us.

He is in a nursing home, but he was diagnosed recently with dementia. They stay with him in the evening and keep him calm before bed.
My husband experienced a traumatic brain injury so I am new at this. I just love the logs that they keep so I can read how his day was. They will tell me his temperature. The people are always respectful to him.

It's not their fault, he is just very stubborn and does not want to be taken care of.
I really like that they are good at fulfilling our needs. They were able to accommodate the hours that we needed and we do not have to have someone for all day.

There are days when they call and say, "We don't have anyone for tomorrow."
It's hard, because a lot of things have gone right, but there have been so many shifts that haven't been covered. It's hard to rely on them. Part of it is COVID, so I feel like not all of it is their fault.

It was my fault as much as it was theirs. I could have handed out chores to the home care people. I just didn't care about giving them training to operate some of the equipment around the house, primarily the washer and dryer.
We had consistency in the people that represented BrightStar, especially at night time.

I need someone here 24 hours and we use them for the night.
It would depend on the situation. When they have an opening, it's hard for me to replace somebody when they can't get somebody. They could have more staff available to help.

It is hard because he is an Alzheimer's patient. There are problems that they have arisen because of his condition.

They have been extremely helpful in doing whatever needs to be done for our own safety. Every time someone shows up it is different. That is hard for an old person. As soon as I get used to one person another comes. They have so many people.
All the different people besides one person have done exactly what I wanted. They help me. I would recommend them, they just need to get used to different people showing up.

When I call them, I get good service. If I don't understand something, they'll go seek more information about it and will get back with me. They let me know what's going on with my body.
They don't bug me as far as the situation goes. It's more quiet. They don't look for me to answer questions.

They are not honest. I found out that they had put me off for weeks because of me, and not because they were short-staffed like they were telling me.

I would like more consistency as to who they send over. The caregivers need to show up on time and when they are supposed to.

Some of the caregivers didn't talk to him much, they were too shy. One of them didn't know how to use the lift to get him on the commode.
They told us they have strict guidelines in regards to COVID care and they didn't follow through on that. The caregivers didn't wear their masks.

The service was needed, because she couldn't be by herself. They showed up.
The things I was paying for was outrageous price wise. They drove her to breakfast and sat with her. She doesn't need that much care. If they were doing bathing and things like that, it would make sense for it to be more expensive.

The services have been very helpful for my mother. Everyone is wonderful. A lot of things we have set up is for her to get her groceries and help her with things in the basement. They also help with light cleaning. It is nice having people there to check in on her. They gave us peace of mind.
I think they are very easy to work with. We have not been super involved. We tried to get my mother in law more involved. We were very involved in the first 3 months.

I don't want anyone that doesn't have ID on them, the one that came did not do good at all.
My helper was sick and couldn't come in, and they told me she couldn't make it, but they didn't call me the next week.

My caregiver has been with me for well over a year and I have never had a problem with her. Today she asked if she could straighten up my kitchen. It's a rare find to get someone who wants to step up to the plate.
My main caregiver is top notch. I had one person here last Saturday and she didn't want to do anything and she left early.

It was hard for my parents to keep meet and getting to know different people
They only problem that we had was that there were so many different people and we wanted 1 or 2 regulars. We had to constantly be introduced to new people and show them what to do.

They can get us a schedule. They can do correct billing. We are getting charged extra all the time. They don't fill out the paperwork properly so the insurance doesn't cover it.
They can improve everything. The girls can actually show up. They let them pick their own hours. We can have three or four days without being covered. They have too many clients and not enough girls.

They could do a better job matching caregivers that can handle my mother's dementia.
Some of the communication wasn't working between us. Care requests were being forgotten. I shouldn't have to tell people 4 or 5 times how to do things.

The service when we had a found a good caregiver helped a lot since my mom has dementia. Consistency is very important. When we are constantly having to go over things and train them, that takes a lot of effort.
They should make sure that all time slots are filled. They should make sure the caregivers read the necessary documentation before they arrive. There are great caregivers. There are some that are average.

Without them coming, my mother wouldn't be able to stay in her home. Then I would have to care for her.
I like the quality and the people they send. My mom has had several caregivers. All the people sent are very caring. It's their job. They really make my mom feel comfortable, and they're friendly.
