We have FirstLight Home Care. They are for myself and my husband. We started out three days a week for four hours, and then at the beginning of this year, things got worse here, and our children felt that we needed round-the-clock care, and so we changed then. We do all that we can but they help us with dressing and they help with the laundry because the washing machine is downstairs and neither of us is able to go down. They help keep the house cleaned up. I do the meals but they help with it, too, and they also help with cleaning up afterwards. The caregivers are very good. They are on time.

I'm very satisfied every time I have FirstLight Home Care of Springfield's service. I have used them two different times and this most recent one I have used since October and prior to that, that was three or four years back. I have one of their care girls that works five days a week. They help me with bathing more or less. I'm not able to get up and out of a chair or to walk around. They take care of that and my medicines, and they help with general cleaning, too. I'm very satisfied with her. She is taking care of what needs to be taken care of.

My experience with FirstLight Home Care has been top notch. They really listened to my needs and found a perfect companion for my 95 year old mom suffering from Alzheimer’s.
The caregiver always arrives on time and immediately checks in with me about how my mom and I are. Her asking is so meaningful because it always turns into a very heartfelt, informative and supportive discussion. My mom’s companion is always very involved and makes my mom feel very important by asking “ what would you like to do?”
She listens and reacts to my mom’s comments by either keeping her busy and engaged with activities to keep her mind active or just letting her nap!
The quality of care my mom received allows me time to myself so I can run errands or relax.
I highly recommend FirstLight Home Care! They all really do care!

FirstLight was exceptional from the start when I needed someone to escort me to a critical medical procedure. I was impressed with the depth and detailed communications I received from FirstLight. I was especially impressed with Delphine because she made me feel relaxed and gave me confidence that they would take care of me. She was right, the entire process from my initial call, to escort service, and back home were exceptional and personal. They treated me like a family member would and I was so thankful that I chose them. FirstLight even followed-up with me to ensure that I had no complications from my medical procedure and it proved that they really cared about my well being. I would not hesitate to call FirstLight with any future care need. Thank you!

First Light worked with our family for five years, providing 24/7 care for our mother.
Our mother’s journey was a challenging one as she faced the horribly debilitating illness of Alzheimer’s . Through it all, she was attended to in a very personal and loving way thanks to all of her team members and Care Managers. For the love, the comfort, the peace, that she felt until her final moments, we are eternally grateful to First Light.
We, the family members, appreciated immensely the timely communication, the unwavering willingness to accommodate change, and the exceptional efforts to maintain quality care for our beloved mother.

I have care for my wife 6 days a week First Light is a great organization I highly recommend them to anyone in need of home care for their loved one
