We got FirstLight Home Care Northwest for my mother before she passed away. We really liked a couple of the caregivers, but the other ones weren't that great. We felt comfortable talking to them so we chose them.

FirstLight is fantastic! The office responded to my needs so quickly and there is always someone available to help me anytime I call. The communication from them has been amazing. The caregivers are so loving and compassionate. I truly don’t know what we have done without them. We have used a couple other companies in the best and I can honestly say FirstLight is far far superior in every way imaginable!!

Wife / Mother on Hospice at Home, so family gets visits from nurse, nurse practitioner, connect-care aide, and chaplain. However, they are come-and-go. We needed more hands-on care. We have FirstLight Home care aides 7 days a week. One is here for 5 hours each weekday and 4 hours on Sunday. The other one comes for 5 hours on Saturday. The aides are involved in bathing 3x/week, feeding meals and snacks and drinks (hydration an issue), and hygiene. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe environment and, most important to us, interacting with her as a friend and caring companion - providing appropriate activities and music and TV entertainment, reading to her and doing things with her at her level of cognition. The rewards come with smiles and appreciations - and they get a lot. I, as husband / caregiver, deal with the medicine, but the aides take care of chapped lips and lotionings. Each of the aides is responsive to my requests and the bookkeeper and manager have always been available and responsive. I get an invoice weekly and any issues are resolved quickly and fairly. I am particularly pleased that they take care of interactions with our insurance company as well. There has never been an insurance claim issue.

We are currently telling all our friends about First Light. The office staff is always available and very helpful. The staff submitted our insurance paperwork quickly and correctly resulting in quick reimbursements. The care givers are kind, professional, and great assistance to my mother. We are very grateful and thankful for all the help we've received from FirstLight.

They provide expert, compassionate and friendly caregivers. They are reliable to send others if my regular caregivers can't come due to illness or emergent reasons. The personal care I get is exceptional. The caregivers are timely.

FirstLight sent us the best caregiver ever! The staff at FirstLight are always responsive and helpful. Because we have the same caregiver every day, it is so helpful that I can automatically put the co say credit card nehave to worry about sendings checks by mail. I can thoroughly recommend this business. My husband has Parkinson’s and they sent us a lady with lots of experience in that field. We feel she’s a member of our family now.

The caregivers and administrative staff of First Light have been amazing. I'm always kept up to date if there has been a change of caregivers or any schedule concerns. I never worry when I'm away from home because I know my husband is safe and that our dog is being cuddled!

We have used several companies for HomeCare services and have a good perspective of how home care should and can work well. Not all homecare services are the same. Home care through Firstlight has provides our family with the one-on-one communication and caregiving we wanted where the “caregiver” doesn’t have to run to help another patient. We are provided with dedicated time for both the patient and us as a family, where together as a team, our plan is discussed, designed and carried out and is flexible enough to make changing easily. From getting our mother out of bed in the morning, into the bathroom, cleaned up and dressed, fixing her breakfast, ensuring she has had her medications, and just talking with her is awesome. And then followed up by cleaning up for us is perfect. When questions or issued arise, we can immediately address them as a team. And when we need additional services or just a change, we reach Firstlight in a number of ways; by phone, text, or emails. The office personnel listen and work with us to address our needs. From our experience, the caregivers that we have had are trained, not just in caregiving for the elderly with their needs, but in a variety of other health issues. They have been on-time, neatly dressed, and if they are late, we receive a call informing us. In addition, the tracking service they use to ensure our caregiver is onsite on time, allows for a call within 10 minutes from the office inquiring as to whether the caregiver arrived. And if not, they do their best to immediately come themselves or get another caregiver to your home. While I have only reviewed their TeleTrAk Website twice, it allows you to see the dates, the times and who your caregiver was, which, if you had a problem, would help. Allen and I highly recommend first keeping your loved one at home where they are surrounded with family, and then using the services and caregivers from FirstLight HomeCare. We have been very pleased with the care my father has received from FirstLight. Everyone has been so wonderful and respectful. We were so nervous to be able to leave Dad at home but the Caregivers were so knowledgeable and considerate. Even though my Dad cannot communicate because of his stroke, he did very well and even looked forward to his visits. We have even called for help with short notice and they always come through for us. It is a wonderful bunch of people.

I have a caregiver from FirstLight HomeCare for my husband. Sometimes the caregivers make meals, change him, bathe him as needed, sit with him, and get him in and out of his wheelchair. They are supposed to provide companionship. We have been using them since the beginning of October. I have different caregivers all the time. Some are awesome, but I am having a conflict with one that they are aware of. I ask for three hours, and some of them feel that if they do everything that I ask quickly, they are done. I don't care if they leave, but I am still paying for three hours. Like tonight, the person is scheduled for three hours and I will be billed for three hours, but she left after an hour.

We have been using First Light since October 2014. They have provide care for my father who has early dementia, and my mom who is recovering from major surgery & complications from a stroke. Our care givers are wonderful and the staff goes out of there way to accommodate you and your family's needs. It is a great sense of comfort and security to know that my parents are receiving quality care.

FirstLight staff have been caring for my father for the past year. They are and always have been dependable, caring and, most importantly, capable. I am able to go to work without worrying about Dad's care and well being. My parents are comfortable with the staff, which is so important. Even though the providers' responsibility is my Dad, I see them watching out for Mom as well. Prior to FirstLight we used another 'highly recommended' agency. It was a disaster, such unprofessional practices, with lots of drama brought into the home. So I can compare agencies and recommend FirstLight without hesitation. We will only use FirstLight.

After interviewing several companies our family chose First Light to care for our mother after her stroke. We have been using this company for about one year and are very satisfied with their service. They have been understanding and accomodating for last minute schedule changes and have very caring and dedicated staff members. Five Stars!

Kendra and her staff provided excellent care after I returned from the hospital after breaking my shoulder after a fall. In home workers helped me take care of myself and my home during a difficult recuperation period. I would recommend their care and would use them again if needed.
