About This Community
Home Instead is a non-medical provider of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.
Home Instead - Caregiver Skills
Safety training on home safety, avoiding injury and falls, preventing strain and pain, safety in the kitchen, cautious cleaning, safe driving, outdoor safety hazards, and disease protection and prevention.
Basic training on emergency situations including stroke, falls and fractures and sudden illness, communication tips including communicating to those with dementia or Alzheimer's, activities for seniors to engage in, mealtime preparations, housekeeping tips, signs of abuse, and tips on reducing caregiver stress.
Advanced training on understanding senior illnesses and conditions, depression in seniors, caregiver stress, in-home exercise for older adults, making mealtime fun, communication tips with the senior, their family, and the caregiver's franchise office.
Activity training including reminiscing activities, modifying activities, activities in facilities, adapting activities for those with impairments, different types of engaging activities for older adults such as gardening, mind builders, and crafts and hobbies, and getting a senior involved in the community in places like senior centers, worship services, volunteering and errands.

Home Instead of West Jordan provides a SUPERB service to me and my family! The care givers are genuine and very friendly! They truly care about providing excellent services that are an enormous help with every day life. The staff is well trained, always on time, and very responsive to my requests. They also provide excellent companionship! Their services have helped me to maintain an outstanding way of life! I would highly recommend Home Instead West Jordan to anyone who wants to improve their lifestyle!

The nurses aides from Home Instead have been wonderful. They're always on time they do a great job assisting me with everything I need, including meal preparation, filing my paperwork, shopping especially during the pandemic they have saved my life.

Can’t speak highly enough of the care Home Instead Senior Care of West Jordan Utah provided for both my mom and dad during their last years. They provided skilled nurses to my father as he aged instead of having him placed in an outside facility. After his passing, they provided an even greater level of care for my mother until she passed. This was critical as she suffered from dementia and eventually required caregivers to be with her 24/7. Without Home Instead Senior Care we would have been forced to examine other options that would have been more expensive, less convenient, provided a lower level of care and could have exposed my mom to the deadly coronavirus. I am so grateful to have found and used this company and their wonderful staff!

Home instead has been an enormous blessing for my family. We trusted them first to provide limited care for our father when he could no longer get around, and then a couple of years after he passed, to provide much more intensive care for our mother. We were pleased with every aspect of the treatment, and consistently surprised and delighted with the personal touches.

My mother is using Home Instead Senior Care and it's been a very good experience so far. We have someone coming in one day a week for an hour, and they help her shower. Everyone we've worked with has been very kind, understanding, and helpful. She's comfortable with them, and they put her at ease. I love that it's a set time, they're always prompt, and I know that I can count on them to be there. They've been wonderful, consistent, and very professional. I would recommend them.

They have done many jobs for me, helped prepare food, mopped the floors, wiped down door frames, changed light bulbs, done the dishes, ironed, washed clothing, helped in many ways. I've enjoyed each caregiver, they have all been pleasant and easy to talk with.
the office has responded quickly to any request.
I am very happy with the service.

There are so many things I like about Home Instead, its hard to keep it to just the basics. I have used other services for my mother's care and so I believe I have the ability to make a good comparison, and Home Instead shines. One thing I like in particular is the book they keep at the house so that as different service providers come in, they can read the notes left by others about what and how to do what needs doing, and I can discreetly leave notes for them when necessary. Mother has gotten along with every one of the providers who have seen her, and the price for the service is unquestionably fair.

I really love the staff in the office. They take care of me with any difficulties I may have with the different helpers. I really adore my helpers and the care I receive from them. It is great to know that they truly care for me.

I am impressed with the people we worked with in setting us up. They gave us a caregiver a day after we inquired. We just had someone come in to clean once a week, and now we’ve requested extra help for next week as the majority of the family members would be out of town. We were able to set that up immediately.

Home Instead has been helping us take care of my dad for the past year. The have been very professional in their care, but also very friendly and kind as they have worked with him. He looks forward to them coming in every day and helping him with his needs. They always take time to make him feel important and he knows that they care for him.
The management of Home Instead is also wonderful to work with. They coordinated with the physical therapist and the CNA's send in by the rehab center so they didn't all come at the same time and the visits were spaced out so dad could get the rest he needed in between visits. We as a family appreciate all the work and care they have given to our dad, but also the small things they try to do for mom also. They are truly a blessing to our family!

We have been using Home Instead Senior Care for three months now. It is for my mother-in-law. Their rates have been exceptionally good. Also their management is very considerate of their clients in that they will have office people come about once a month or so and check on the caregivers they provided for my mother-in-law. They also have two different people to come in, so if one is gone for whatever reasons, then there will always be someone available for her. Their caregivers also are exceptional and good to work with. My mother-in-law really feels good with them because they are kind and considerate. They just really work well with her.

The doctor called Home Instead for them to come in and give my wife an enema, although I haven't heard from them today. Everything's okay, the caregiver they sent for my wife is good.
