Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

They get someone here, but if the caregiver calls in, they almost always find someone to replace them right away.

We need them to do the Hoyer lift and have experience. Many of them have never seen a Hoyer lift. It gets really tiresome to keep training new caregivers. We have different caregivers every day and the client has dementia and that is not a good thing for a dementia client.
They could send qualified caregivers.

My husband and I are both in poor health, so it makes it challenging when we don't have someone here to help us. It has gotten better since the beginning, but I used to have to go to other provider to get help.
I would like to see better communication with the clients. They want to assign the caregivers a time to come, but I would like to be able to choose the times that the caregivers come over. I would like them to work with me, not me with them.

A couple of people that they have sent are not able to lift her up. Another person was the same way and she did not feel comfortable taking her to the bathroom.

Sometimes they probably need to screen their employees a little better. Some caregivers don't know they are doing. One even stole money from me.
So far I am satisfied with them. Some people who come out are good and others are not, it depends on who they send.

They don't even know when their aids are here or not. There is no list of what the services are supposed to be. The aids just sit there and don't help.
They need better customer service from the aid. Nothing has been constant and I haven't been able to get any information. I'm always calling them.

The caregivers feed my mother and helps her walk around the house. The caregivers also keep my mother company and also helps her use the bathroom.

They could have explained that the caregiver was obligated to finish out her hour just sitting on her phone. Maybe she wasn't obligated to do anything else, I don't know.
I would not recommend them to anybody around here, they would not give me the paperwork I needed or a phone number to reach the caregiver.

They ended up calling and saying that they can't come. They can't keep people to help. This leaves the people high and dry.

When she shows up, the care is pretty decent. They could make sure the caregiver has dependable transportation before they actually assign them to a client. A lot of times they don't show up.
I wouldn't recommend them at all, they are not consistent at all.

She is very resistant to the care, so she doesn't like it, but it's very helpful for me. It means that I can go home. If someone else wasn't there, I'd have to be there all the time, which is not what I want.
I haven't had any reasons to dislike them.
