I had the pleasure of having Keyla, my LVN, come to my home and take care of me during my knee recovery. She was very thorough, caring, and informative with my treatment and providing answers to my questions. Keyla took all my vitals, checked my incision site to make sure I was healing correctly, made sure I wasn’t in any undue pain, gave me advice pertaining to information I needed to give the doctors. She took her time with me without making me feel like I was another number or feel like she was in a hurry and needed to get her job done and leave as quickly as possible. SHE’S WAS AWESOME!

As the year comes to an end I would love to say that BrightStar care has made a great impact on my family and I.
My nurse is Laurie she is very dedicated to her job and patient. She always takes her time while doing my vitals and goes over my results and helps me understand all the numbers and different measures of my health. She is more like family. She’s always ready and able to listen to my health concerns and kindly explained what is best to do. That helps me understand and not panic. I am very appreciative of of her and so happy Brightstar Care continues to provide kind, friendly, passionate and dedicated staff.
I most definitely recommend BrightStar Care to my friends and family.

When I needed service, they let me go because they didn't accept my insurance anymore.

Bright star has given my son excellent wound care, mostly by Robert. We have been having trouble with the insurance to continue his care. Jessica worked very hard to get the insurance to continue. She was wonderful and the denial was reversed and my son will continue to get care. Thank you so much Jessica!

My physical therapist was Niton. I was so pleased with his work ethics. He was very professional. He was so patient, making sure that I took breaks if I needed them. He always explained why I was doing a particular exercise and what the benefits of doing it were. Niton is very knowledgeable. Anyone would be lucky to have him assigned to care for them.

They couldn't give me a consistent person so he couldn't develop the skill to strengthen his speech. The occupational therapist was amazing and helped him to start to walk.
They need to be consistent with their therapist. With my child, if you break the routine, it is not good for him.

They help me with getting my pills in my pill box. There is a guy named Robert that I think was doing okay, and another caregiver put more than they were supposed to.

The client was in an accident. They were here for physical therapy and he was unable to walk until this January. They helped him with that.
I liked their quality in preparation. Every time they came they were prepared to try something new.

They saved my finger, and I didn't have to lose it. I'm very happy with the care. They probably could have saved both of my legs too if I had found out about them.
I think anyone should do what I did and have BrightStar Care take care of them. They did a perfect job, and I was so happy. A nurse recommended them to me so I wouldn't lose my finger. I am very happy to tell people about it. I've already told about four or five friends of mine who are in my same condition.

They have really helped my loved one be able to speak better, allowing him to better react with other children. We are pretty excited about him being able to go to a regular class next year.
I love the speech therapist because she is wonderful and really cares about my child. She is very personable with my loved one.

They help with wound care. I would just like better communication and organization. The nurses are great, but it's the office that I've had a lot of issues with them. I've talked with the caseworkers and they're very nice. I only stay with them because it's the only company my insurance covers.
They're not reliable and they have bad communication.

I went on bed rest and they gave me a lot of encouragement. They knew what my problems were and searched for ways to solve them.
I had a lot of different nursing services, but they have gone the extra limit. They will talk to me and have taken the time to get to know them.

It's really hard not knowing anybody and having random people come into our home. I like the people that they choose to come into my home, they're very good.
The caregiver helps me and us and our family, and she goes above and beyond to help us.

When we first started, we went through a few nurses, and I guess they could have been a little more communicative about things, like what my loved one could or couldn't have. There was worry and frustration in transitioning between nurses. It's much more stable now, but it wasn't before.

I did not receive a lot of feedback or communication from BrightStar at all. When I did have to change anything, they were unhelpful, and threatened to charge me extra. They were not nearly as professional or polite as I feel they should have been. In the beginning, the impact on my life was quite good. But my caregiver's life seemed to be full of complications, and I needed some more stability.

They come when we call them. The wound care is excellent. They come to the house and do wound care, otherwise he'd be in the hospital.

They changed personnel all the time so I had a bunch of different people coming in all the time. It wasn't consistent. They didn't schedule appointments ahead of time and they'd just show up at the door. They were consistent and they showed me how to do exercises. They could have had better communication.

The case workers could work with me a bit better. I don't really know my case worker and they don't call to let me know. My nurse is wonderful and I have no complaints. She takes time out and makes sure that my needs are met and answers any questions I have.

If I had other nurses, I didn't get as good as treatment as I did with my main caregiver. She would just sit and talk with me while she was doing everything. It made me feel comfortable. The services helped the abscess clear up. They came to the house because I'm home bound. It allowed me to get the care I needed without having to leave the house.

I have had a great experience with everyone at BrightStar Care. From the physical therapist to the nurses, everyone has just been fantastic. They have worked with me on how to walk better and they are taking care a wound that I have on my stomach and it is getting better.

I would recommend BrightStar Care because they're nice, friendly and they do what they're supposed to do. They've been taking care of my wounds really well. I recommend BrightStar Care to anybody. Sometimes BrightStar Care doesn't call me and tell me who's going to come, but I can call to the office to get more information. I have a little dog and I always want to know when they're going to come so I can put him in his little cage.

The office here doesn't have any bedside manner, nor do they take the time to listen and talk to clients about things. They could have stayed on board and allowed me to finish 10 days of IV medicine.

The communication from the office about who is coming, when, and for how long could have been better. It was a guessing game all the time. I was happy with the nurses I had, the problems were with the office and follow up. They did minor things, nothing big.

I was well taken care of, and my caregiver was always prompt. She was a very good person in general. I had another agency come in, and they just came in to get paid and then get out. They made things a lot easier for me because I'm a double amputee, and it's hard for me to move around.

They don't have all the information and the paperwork about the physical therapist gathered all at once. If everything was working with the schedule, it'd be great, but it's not. They could improve their communication and paperwork with me.

The whole scheduling thing is awful. We are supposed to have physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. So far for the new year they haven't scheduled any of the appointments that we need even though we have all the paperwork done. We really don't see them. They could schedule our appointments and have their side of the paperwork done. We have the doctor's orders ready and the insurance is approved. At this point we are just waiting on them. We had all of this done at the beginning of the year and it is already the end of February and we haven't been scheduled yet.

They were fine for the first couple of days, but then they switched nurses without telling me and the new one they sent smelled like cigarettes and I have my pregnant daughter with me, so I was unhappy with that. I also requested a female nurse and I was sent a man, and at one time my nurse was supposed to come at a specific time and was actually with another patient and it took multiple calls to even get a response. When I discontinued services, the manager wasn't even told and continued to try to set up nurses for me. They needed to improve their communication.

The young man that came to help me with therapy was excellent. He was patient, but challenged me. He was punctual and communicative. I have nothing but excellent things to say about him. When the caregiver first started to see me, I was hobbling with a cane. He was able to help me walk unassisted.

They do good and excellent work. The occasional therapist helps me a lot. I have enough energy now. When the therapist comes, she helps me out. She got me back to standing up and doing things so that I have a little bit of strength. I still have trouble with grabbing onto things and stuff like that.

I'm impressed by the care that the people offer and administer. The only thing I wasn't very keen on was that they didn't have a definite schedule. They'd have to call me daily and see if we were available for an appointment at a certain time. They made a lot of difference. They did good. The personnel was caring and patient enough to increase his movement. He appeared to improve daily.

I'm holding back from recommending BrightStar Care because the only positive experience I've had with them is physical therapy. I was getting nursing but they come in without having reviewed the charts and asking me why I'm using crutches. They should know why they're coming into my home. The physical therapy has been good and consistent. The nurses have been a negative experience.
