About This Community
Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

I had a stroke and they are very helpful with handling that. I use a walker and this impacts my life, because if I did not have them I would not be able to do a thing.

The office for Right at Home is responsive and easy to access. We have had some good and not-so-good caregivers, but our current one is great.

The services have been positive because they were able to help my mother with her daily tasks and chores, and they took her out to run errands.
I would recommend Right at Home because they were extremely helpful in finding a caregiver until the right one was found, and they were great at answering questions and working with us.

I just want to have a consistent caregiver each time.
My complaint has been that I get different caregivers periodically. I have the same person most of the time, and every so often, someone different shows up, and I have to go through the process of telling them everything I need them to do.

The older women who came in were so excellent. I didn't feel like I even needed them the next day. The young girls were not as good. They wanted to do everything but they didn't know what to do.
The older women were excellent but some of the girls were inexperienced and one even fell asleep. I don't think she was lazy, she just hadn't gotten any sleep.

They are very good when I can depend on them. They give my loved one a bath, dress my loved one, and vacuum the floors.
I had one caregiver that was fantastic, but they got moved. Now, it's been off and on. I don't know when they are coming.

It is really about what they do. If they can't get them in a shower, they have to give them a bed bath.

We have two caregivers from their company. The caregiver gets down to my mother's level and treats my mom with the dignity that an 87 year old deserves. She does a great job with the medication reminders. She is able to work with my mom's dementia. She is lovely to be around. She is happy, she is helpful, and she fits in beautifully with the family. The second caregiver has a really tough shift. She is pleasant, engaging, delightful to be around, and she is like a family member also. She is a great fit for our family, and we feel very fortunate as well to have her on our team.
I like that we are able to have the consistent caregivers that we need for her care. They don't have an answering service. They answer the phones themselves. One of my caregivers was named employee of the month, and I think it's good for employees to feel appreciated.

I live in Dallas while my aunt lives in Bryan, so I can't get there everyday.
They've done a good job caring for my aunt. They communicate well with me and let me know what is going on. They are excellent.

Besides helping him with his everyday changing and everything, they were compassionate, kind, and treated him with respect.

It helped me out a lot. They provided me help with cleaning my apartment and doing different things, like going grocery shopping with me and doing things I can't do around my apartment.
They did really excellent work and the caregivers were very nice and friendly.

I did not know how sick I would become, and it turned out I did not get as ill as I thought I would get. They helped me by driving me and bringing me home.
There was one caregiver who kind of padded their time and I had a couple that were fairly new on the job.

I've been staying at night, and it allowed me to go home to get some sleep. I didn't have to worry.
The first two nights, the lady showed up on time and wrote very descriptive notes. On the third night, the other lady did not sign in on the book in his room and she did not leave any notes about how my dad did that night.

We have been using Right at Home caregivers for the last 3 1/2 months and very pleased with their promptness being here exactly as planned. My husband who has dementia seems comfortable with them. I say them because they are not always the same caregivers as I don't have a routine schedule every week. They have to place the caregiver according to the hours she has available but try very hard to honor our requests and/or match us up. I like too that the caregivers are amendable and proficient doing household chores that I ask them to do. Thank you for your caring service to us!

They have made life easier by sending the caregiver, who is very compassionate and seems to know what my mother needs. She is good at not pushing my mom and will go with whatever she needs at that moment. She is able to encourage my mom so she can get things done, which she is good at doing and without getting her upset.
I like the ladies from this agency because they have been good caretakers. We only had one or two caregivers who weren't good, but when I called the office, they were good at taking care of it.

I have had several caregivers, but right now they are very kind to my loved one and understanding of his dementia.
They are available and mostly able to get us the caregivers that I would like to have.

Right at Home served my father during the last month of his life. I initially hired a mixture of independent people and Right at Home caretakers to care for my father 24 hours a day at his home. Shortly, I was calling Right at Home for near immediate help as some of the "independent' people could not be counted upon. Right at Home responded right away - always delivering, regardless of the challenge. They provided a team that revolved so that my father knew them all. Their prices were reasonable and the care good.
I would not hesitate to call them again for care of the disabled and dying. They were a blessing to my family.

RAH provided skilled and caring service for my father. They worked closely with the hospice professionals to ensure he was comfortable and properly cared for. The staff treated my father with dignity, and he and our entire family enjoyed their company. Connie and her staff worked with us to schedule help on very short notice. They also helped my mom through this difficult time and were a great source of comfort to her. My mom still uses RAH to help her with errands and household chores. I highly recommend them.
