It's hard to find people you can trust with your family members. The caregivers have just gone out of their way to help. I recommend speaking with them in person if your in need.

First I needed to get care for my 95 year old sister. She was having trouble walking (painful hips) and was frail but mentally alert. My sister and I were interviewed by the owner. The company makes a great effort to match the client with one of their caregivers. They did an excellent job to get a lady that could take care of her physical needs and help keep her mentally happy, which was not an easy job. Shortly afterwards I fell and broke my left leg and damaged my hip. At 85 years old that is not good. While I was in rehab I called Griswold to help me when I went home. I knew of their excellent help and reasonable fees from helping my sister. The ladies they have sent to help me are honest, kind, caring, and skilled. In addition to caring for me they have done a good job keeping my house in order. They also drive me to my Dr. appointments and to the beauty shop to get my hair done which makes me feel so much better. Having used Griswold Home Care 2 times now I can highly recommend them as the top of all companies providing home care services.

Griswold Home Care - Houston helped my mother-in-law with bathing, washing her hair, getting her meals, and watering her plants. The caregivers were great and they really took care of my mother-in-law. They were a wonderful company and they were very personable. I think they really did a great job.

Heres my story... About 18 months ago, my sister and I realized that my parents needed a caregiver to be present in their home 24/7. My father has Lewy Body Dementia and Stage 4 cancer and my mom has Alzheimer's. We started with one company but there were problems. Caregivers were not dependable and petty disagreements between caregivers distracted from my parent's care. We also did not have a clear idea of what had transpired during our absence. We decided to switch to a different company, Griswold. A major difference is that these caregivers are Certified Nursing Assistants. As my dad's challenges have progressed, I have seen the benefits of having caregivers trained as CNA's. I needed help taking him to the doctor. Both of the caregivers knew how to speak to him to get him in and out of the car and assist. I also watched as one of the caregivers let my dad do as much as he could to eat on his own, quietly encouraged him, and then, helped to ensure he got enough to eat and drink. She had a calm and caring manner about her which was soothing to me also. I am grateful, we made this choice to change companies. We also have a portal to see and hear how the day and night went. I would highly recommend this company.

My family used this provider for my father for over a year. Not only were the caregivers very professional, kind, and skilled, the owners and administrative staff went above and beyond to ensure a good fit between the caregiver, my father, and our busy household. Griswold Home Care provided excellent care for my father. The actual care taker developed a rapport with my father that could not have been surpassed. He would look forward to her visits and assistance with great enthusiasm. They had truly become friends. I was responsible for the scheduling of his care. This was made easy as someone always answered the phone and took very detailed messages. If follow up was required, it was timely. Jim was very professional, caring and attentive to my dad's needs and concerns coming personally to meet him explaining the program. Our experience with Griswold Home Care was very positive. They were truly a godsend as we were struggling to provide care for our mother, who cherished her independence, but needed the help. Her needs fluctuated greatly over the couple years of service, but Shelly and the staff at Griswold were with us every step of the way. As we live out of state, it was a tremendous support to know that mom had care, sometimes within a few hours notice, whenever she needed it. In addition to that, they provided emotional support to the family as well. The caregivers became like family to mom and treated her lovingly, even when her illness made things very difficult. Mom is receiving hospice services now and won't be with us much longer. The staff at Griswold still call to see how she is doing and ask if there is anything they can do for us. They truly care about the families they serve and I would not hesitate to recommend Griswold for your loved one.
