About This Community
Home Instead is a non-medical provider of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.
Home Instead - Caregiver Skills
Safety training on home safety, avoiding injury and falls, preventing strain and pain, safety in the kitchen, cautious cleaning, safe driving, outdoor safety hazards, and disease protection and prevention.
Basic training on emergency situations including stroke, falls and fractures and sudden illness, communication tips including communicating to those with dementia or Alzheimer's, activities for seniors to engage in, mealtime preparations, housekeeping tips, signs of abuse, and tips on reducing caregiver stress.
Advanced training on understanding senior illnesses and conditions, depression in seniors, caregiver stress, in-home exercise for older adults, making mealtime fun, communication tips with the senior, their family, and the caregiver's franchise office.
Activity training including reminiscing activities, modifying activities, activities in facilities, adapting activities for those with impairments, different types of engaging activities for older adults such as gardening, mind builders, and crafts and hobbies, and getting a senior involved in the community in places like senior centers, worship services, volunteering and errands.

We are currently using this provider for both of my parents. The office staff is awesome and so very nice. We needed a caregiver the same day I called. They were able to have someone in the home that evening.
We are so pleased with all of the caregivers. They’re all so wonderful, caring, attentive and treat my parents as if they were family.
I can’t say enough good things about this company.
I highly recommended Home Instead.

I have been impressed that Home Instead really tries to match caregivers with clients who are seeking to please their clients. It's not just a job to them; they really care about meeting the client's expectations. They are punctual and ready to work fixing meals, cleaning or running errands.

My dad has greatly benefited from the excellent care given by Home Instead of Keller, Texas over the last 4 years, first in his home, and then at a skilled nursing facility. His quality of life was much better due to the excellent care given and the companionship they provided.

Back in early December, on a Wednesday when Leslie was here, I let her know our Dad wasn't feeling well........Thankfully, Leslie had already figured out that our Dad was feeling poorly that morning.
Leslie was an immense help to me that morning in multiple ways: not only did she recognize our dad’s decline from the previous week, she helped me find some “calm in the storm” so I could think and develop a plan of action.
Our dad almost fell early that morning, so I asked Leslie to assist me as we walked with him to the bathroom. As Dad began to sit down, he began to fall toward the bathtub. I already had my hands around his waist, and Leslie did as well. Thankfully, we caught him before he could fall! And, later that day he was admitted to the hospital at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
All of this to say thank you to Leslie for her insight, her calming presence, and most of all for her incredible love and care for our Dad as well as me and my husband.
Thank you Tiffani, for sending us an angel when we truly needed one. Leslie is a life-saver.

I am so grateful for Home Instead and the great care they provide for my mother. Their office workers are helpful and detail oriented and support me so much during this difficult time. Home Instead has provided care for my wife for 9 years and I have never experienced another company that is so dedicated to providing the care that Home Instead Caregivers provide. They are timely, polite helpful but more of all they are interested in providing 100% of their attention to the individual they are caring for. The office staff is always available to assist anytime changes are needed to accommodate my or my wife’s needs. Would highly recommend them.

My mom is currently on hospice and their aides only come out to bathe her and are here less than an hour. With Home Instead aides, they will come and help mom start her day, help her with breakfast, lunch, bathe her and meet all of her personal care needs. They will also help me by doing laundry, dishes etc. while mom is resting. It allows me time to go out and run errands or just get out for awhile. I know mom is in good capable hands while I’m out.

Home Instead has been wonderful for my mother. Her caregiver, Karen, is kind, caring, and always willing to assist and help whenever asked or needed. Karen is also very loving toward my mother. Home Instead has been so efficient, kind and professional. All the staff goes out of their way for us.

I knew when I walked through the door this was the perfect place to receive home-care for my mother-in-law when I was greeted by the scripture excerpt, "...As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord - Joshua 24:15". The providers have been awesome caregivers. My mother-in-law has several favorite providers. My husband and I are thankful for the assistance that has been provided to our mom. We recommend trying this service provider; you will not regret it.

My mother had a very difficult surgery in December and returned home in a very weakened state. I knew with my responsibilities I would not be able to provide the care she needed. I called the Home Instead office in Keller and requested their help. I experienced great staff, great service and they did great job taking care of my mom post surgery! My mother kept saying, "there aren't any angels left in heaven...because they are all here taking care of me!"

My family used this franchise for several weeks last summer, when our Mother was returned to her Independent Living home in Keller. At this point, she was under hospice care, but in-home care was required for almost seven weeks, until hospice came in at the end. We met with the "sales representative" of this franchise, in the presence of the hospice nurse, to discuss the care which would be required, and were assured that Mother's needs could be met. This proved immediately NOT to be true. The women who came to us were unable to move Mother in bed and change diapers. As we were told by most, they were hired to cook light meals, do light housework, and drive people to the hair salon. After much - and I repeat much distress, we were finally sent four good and skilled women who could give Mother the care she needed. I would add that several of the overnight women came to sleep - and did just that. I could go on, but would encourage anyone looking for hospice/bed care for their elderly loved one to seek elsewhere!

The caregivers are excellent. Every person they have sent out over the years has been top notch. Communication with the office is wonderful. They handled every request I have made quickly and efficiently. They are truly a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this group.

Your agency is working from a great foundation and is always responsive to requests. It took a couple of months for us to research this service and found the staff in Keller to be the best. Information about the services was promptly provided after my initial call and there was no pressure she following up to see if we needed the service. The entire staff is absolutely great to deal with. Tiffany is an amazing franchise owner.

Everyone associated with Home Instead are all outstanding personnel. The caregivers are the best in the world. They are all the most amazing people you will ever meet. Thank God for them! Additionally, the office staff is exactly the same as the caregivers. They are the most helpful and outstanding group I have ever worked with!

We chose Home Instead because they called me back. I have talked to them, and they went that far for my mom. They went over and introduced themselves and that first meeting went really well. It gave me a little comfort, and she felt good about it. So, my mom said, "Let’s go." The caregiver goes by the house twice a week and check on my mom, but she tends to miss some days, so I’m a bit unhappy about that, but otherwise, it’s OK. She provides in-house maintenance and a little bit of cooking. The caregiver so far is good and seems really nice. Her and my mom get along pretty well.

Home Instead Senior Care of Keller Texas provides excellent care to my Mom! Their Team informs me of any scheduling changes of caregiver coming to take care of my Mom. They use a background check on their employees and their employees use a telephone base check-in and check-out system, something that the previous company did not have! Ron H. has come out to visit us to start service after my Mom was hospitalized and before Christmas. Carolann and other office staff are professional via phone.

My mother was a client of Home Instead. The quality of caregivers was very poor overall. They seemed to have had little training and most had been hired only a few days before coming to the house. She went through 21 caregivers in about seven months. Of those maybe two were competent. Some were rejected because their service was pitiful and others frequently quit the company apparently due to low pay. Several night shift people clearly viewed it as a way to get paid to sleep and had little motivation to care for my mom. The management team provides zero oversight or quality assurance and if a client complains about a caregiver's performance, they simply go out and hire another off the street and send them to the home. Beware.

The dispatchers and managers at Home Instead were very nice and helpful. We had 3 caregivers. One of them was very good but the other two were not. The good one was very attentive and kind. I understand that this agency didn't pay very well so they didn't get quality staff.

My therapist recommended Home Instead for my dad. It's been a very positive experience. They've done what I needed done, and never had any problems. Basically, they come in to help us with housework. The caregiver was very good and always been real nice. I've been using them for maybe three months now.
