My elderly mother never has a bad word to say about anybody but when she complained about one of the 'caregivers' with Assisting Hands Ft. Worth West, I knew something must not be right. Her husband also told me she didn't like the caregiver. When I was there, I observed the woman and watched her 'talk down' to my mother, saw her reading and writing texts while my mom tried to put on her tight compression hose herself, when my step dad and mom went to breakfast, she would leave early but still charged for the two hour window and would not even do the light housework offered. I contacted Assisting Hands Ft. Worth West to ask if we could have a different caregiver and the woman immediately went off on me on the phone...telling me I couldn't change caregivers, that she was already assigned to my mom and that if this was a problem she would have to call for an investigation!!! It was an awful conversation as I felt as though I was being verbally attacked. The following morning it was as if she was Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. She called me back and told me she would change caregivers, as if she was doing me a favor. I later learned this was part of her personality and that she is even worse in her communication with the employees.

Our family are so grateful that we were recommended to contact Assisting Hands Home Care to assist us with our beloved father. Indeed, they were well trained and knowledgeable, absolutely dependable, and friendly, kind, and communicative! The difficult last weeks as we cared for Dad in home were made so much easier by your their professional/personable caregiving. They were many ages and personalities, and everyone was just right for dad! Sis and I give them 5 out of 5 stars and would go with them again if needed.

The owner of Assisting Hands of Fort Worth West and I talked a couple of times. We went over what I needed, and he was able to send out somebody who was a really good fit. The caregivers ran errands for me and bought groceries. They did laundry and helped me with housework. I would recommend them to anyone. I am a satisfied customer.

Assisting Hands has been a huge help to my family - they are very caring toward their clients and always go out of their way to do what ever is needed. During the ice & snow the owner of the company even went as far as to get out in his SUV to make sure caregivers made it to their clients homes and that the clients had everything that was needed for the days that no one would be able to drive.

From the first time I spoke to someone at Assisting Hands I felt much better. I was stressed over taking care of my dad who has dementia. I work about 50 hours a week and was having trouble getting him groceries and making sure he was eating. They have been great! I haven't meet any one there I didn't like. They have made my life so much more relaxing. I would recommend them highly.
