About This Community

Senior Solutions Home Care is family owned and operated and our family has been serving Seniors since 1996. We provide non-skilled, in-home care including personal services, such as bathing and tolieting, as well as light housekeeping, meal preparation and running errands. Our services are available in all of Middle and East Tennessee. Senior Solutions Home Care clients provides a free PERS (Personal Emergency Response System) to clients receiving at least 20 hours of care weekly. This provides that additional peace of mind for the client and their loved ones. At Senior Solutions At Home, we Add Years to Life and Life to Years.

Our mission is to help our clients continue to live at home -- with dignity and independence. We make certain needs and expectations are not just met, but exceeded. We provide a very personal service -- performed by compassionate and trained caregivers who are screened, bonded, and insured.

What makes us better than other similar services?
  1. Family Owned. We are not a franchise company. This means that our experience, compassion, and quality of care is at a higher level than anyone else
  2. Availability. We are here to serve you when you need us -- our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  3. Employees. All of our caregivers are thoroughly screened, insured, and bonded. They're also our employees, meaning that we handle all the details: taxes, insurance, and providing backup support whenever needed.
  4. Philosophy. We use a Care Managed Approach. This means that you and your family will have access to Geriatric Care Managers and Senior Advisers which become part of your care team. We can coordinate with your doctors, specialists, and other professionals.

"Our family has been dedicated to serving seniors since 1996. We know that helping a loved one remain in their home can ensure that they maintain that much needed independence and comfort. My promise to you or your loved one is to show you the same level of quality and compassion that we show our own family members every day. Our mission is to help you or your loved one remain comfortable and safe at home while helping the family achieve balance and happiness. I hired Senior Solutions 1 month prior to moving my mother in to my house. They were a no-show the first 2 days and after one week still do not come as requested/promised. Do not waste your time with this company!!! Shannon has lied to us since day one! We requested 5 hours each day and the 3 times a sitter has come only stay 30-45 minutes. Today we had to listen to Wanda explain how she is only paid $10 hour and hasn’t ever gotten a raise and we are not worth her time.

Shocked - Dismayed and Dissapointed

If I only knew then what I am painfully aware of now, I would never have signed an agreement with Senior Solutions. They promise care and concern and deliver absolutely nothing. There clearly is a pattern because unfortunately, I have the same complaints that others have posted since 2017. If and when employees come, they are often late and leave early. Very rarely does the same employee come twice. So the client can never receive consistent care. Employees have been rude and dismissive. I've been cursed in my own home. Hade my door slammed in my face. We are not notified that employees will not report for duty. The idea that shifts are simply offered and the employees have the option of taking them or leaving the client in the lurch is a horrible business plan. The employees should be hired with the expectation that shifts or clients will be assigned. There are HIPAA laws being broken I am certain. One employee came for a four hour shift, took a 1 hour lunch, a 15 minute break and expected me to sign a document that she have been there the full 4 hours. Requests to speak with management go unanswered. I have pleaded for better treatment but to no avail. It is actually a form of abuse both of my sister who is the client and myself as the primary caregiver because I am left helpless to move or to do anything for an entire shift because either I don't trust who is in my home or I am left hanging because the person did not show and they (Senior Solutions) leaves me hanging in hopes that someone else might volunteer to take the shift. Simply put you should not take on a client on a possibility that you might serve them. Be honest, be compassionate and tell us of front and allow us to make the decision that we want to take that chance with our loved ones lives. The half of our dilemmas have not been told. I could literally write a book. All true.

A family member is supposedly being taken care of by a Home Health provider. They arrive late constantly. Leave early. Dirty dishes left in sink, cooking utensils at times not cleaned. Toilet not cleaned regularly nor bath tub. I have been contacted by Senior Solutions and I expressed my concerns, my frustrations. I received a quesstioaire that I filled out with my complaints. I have good criticism and frustrated criticism. Either Senior Solutions has not spoken with my parents Home Health provider or Senior Solutions does not care because it has been months and no change.

Still Frustrated
December 30, 2017
The last time I called complaining about the office not communicating with me I was told that a new person was coming in to fix the problems they are having. Well, the last person I had here had no idea what she was supposed to be doing, arrived 30 minutes late and left 20 minutes early. Since that visit I have not have service for the last 2 scheduled times. Do yourself a favor, don't use this company, they seem to have no idea what they are doing.

Frustrated client

I recently joined this company as a client and have been really frustrated with the office communications---or lack thereof. I'm not notified when they haven't found a worker to cover the shift and have not had the same worker more than 3 times in a row. Once was because she was not a good fit, but all the rest are "fill-ins" because they can't seem to find someone who can come once a week for 2 hours. I'm hoping some of this is because of recent personnel changes in the office, but it seems like much more than that.

Senior Solutions Home Care seems to be more in line with what I needed for my dad. The caregivers take him to the store if he needs to go, fix a meal for him, clean the house and do the laundry. The caregiver is good and does what we need. We wanted to do Monday and Thursday for four hours at a time, and that’s what they have done. Everything has been so far good.

I found Senior Solutions on the internet. My husband has a long-term care policy so we had to go with somebody who had a nurse on staff. We asked Senior Solutions to hire the caregiver we already had for over a year instead of sending a new one over and they did. She has had training in taking care of the elderly for few years before we ever hired her. My husband liked her and trusted her. She fixes my husband's breakfast and make sure he takes his meds. She exercises him and the fixes his lunch. He is low maintenance; he just can't be left by himself. She does what she is supposed to do. She does a lot of housekeeping like laundry and the dishes in addition to caring for him. We are very pleased with her. Senior Solutions is doing a good job. They have good follow-ups. They work with us. They come out, do house calls and check on us. They also stay in contact. I talk to them one way of another every week or every other week. We don't really have any complaints and we are very pleased with them.
