About This Community
Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

We don't use it daily. The only thing is she is limited to 40 hours a week and only use her 4 or 5. It would be nice if she could go over with us paying the difference in overtime.
I like the flexibility. We have a caregiver that signed up for Right at home that we knew well. I appreciate that instead of strangers.

I don't need a lot of help but I know in the future I would need more. The biggest thing they do for me is help me wash laundry since I have trouble due to its weight, alongside things like watering my plants. That's been a huge boost in my day-to-day life.
The caregiver who shows up to my place is very dependable and does everything I need so I would recommend them.

They have a number of different people they send out and some are good and some are not so good.

This person doesn't need much care, so it isn't that high of an impact. There are some adjacent activities of daily living, they could help a little more on the cleaning aspect of them.
I like the support staff. I like their different roles. They have good front people to tell you about the organization.

I am very happy with them. When they know what they're doing and everything, the way they handle everything, it makes it to where I can stand the pain I have. It's a very positive impact.
I like their promptness and their knowledge of how to handle me. I am in a wheelchair and they get me inside the doctor's office, and they know how to get me in and out of vehicles.

They need to do what they say they would do and not just give lip service. When I talked to them on the phone to get my services started, they said they would be able to always have someone out here to care for me and my sister. So far they haven't done that and say it is due to COVID.
I want them to live up to what they say. They keep telling us that they do not have enough caregivers due to COVID.

We've been using Right at Home Hilton Head for six weeks now. They're helping with blood-pressure monitoring, medication monitoring, errands like groceries, and light housekeeping. We've had to make a few changes with a couple of the ladies, but my mother is very, very pleased with the lady she has now, and we've gone down to two days a week from three days a week. It's only a couple of hours a day. My mom is very happy, and the business itself has been very accommodating to any of my phone calls or any follow-up I need. I'm satisfied with the service mom is receiving.

I really need the help. I have difficulty getting around.
When my helper goes to check in and out it takes them 10-15 minutes to do so. Also, whenever they are all in meetings I have left messages with the answering service at least 5 times and I have never received a return call.

It makes a big difference in a positive way when they show up.
The biggest thing was just trying to get someone to come. We had been trying for three months and not until recently could we get someone to actually pick up the job. There were a lot of days when I was expecting someone and nobody showed up.

My husband has had caregivers from Right at Home for a number of years. They are very anxious to provide the right caregiver to match the personality and needs of their clients. We have had 3 really great caregivers during that time. As needs change it is often necessary to change caregivers. He used to need someone everyday for many hours and now we use someone only 3 days a week.
The agency has been very responsive to our requests, especially Miss Sandra.

It is handy, it takes off a little responsibility. Since my wife is heavy, I have to help anyway.
They keep sending people who are untrained. We've had the same person for a while now, and that is a good perk, who is relatively trained. Currently we are happy, but haven't always been.
