Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

I really like how they offer Marty the caregiver to provide the care needed for my father.

We have two caregivers, and one is very good and has followed all the written instructions that I left. The other caregiver is a very sweet person, but I think he is not as competent as the other caregiver. As my uncle's needs grow more, I do not think I would want the second caregiver to keep coming out.
I think that their communication improved significantly because of how far away I was and how much help I needed.

By checking behind the person at the agency if she is doing the right thing.
I like that they will check on me and see when I want a person to come on a holiday. They make sure that they don't leave me hanging.

All I know is what they call me to tell me about. I don't have a daily contact with the agency. I would say it's probably as best it could be with my mother. I don't speak to them on a daily basis, so I am not sure what is going on. The client is in a facility, and they are there just to help her and be a companion to her.
I like that the office staff has been great with communication, doing what they're saying, and following up.

They take him to doctor's appointments, the grocery store, or wherever, which is very helpful alongside providing great companionship for him.
They are reliable and do a great job aligning the caregivers with the person receiving services. I'd certainly recommend them.

Our father is 98 years old and has limited mobility. The staff at Right at Home has provided 24 hour care with extreme professionalism, concern, and compassion. They are always there to take care of any problem or emergency and to make sure that he is properly fed and attended to every day. We live out-of-state and don't know what we would do without them. Our father feels safe and happy having them around and we would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone.

Sometimes my mother is just tired and doesn't try enough, but she does try so it's not all on the agency. The caregiver does pretty well. The caregiver gets my mother meals.
Right now, they're giving my mother care one day a week. She is 87 and she is going to die before she ever gets better because it's not enough. Even the doctor said that and I don't know what to do to change that.

It helps to some extent. My wife has dementia. She also has sundowners which means that she is up all night and is asleep during the day. The person just sits and watches her sleep. It is nice having someone here in case she does wake up. They could make my life easier by having the same person come out each time, so I do not have to explain where things are and what to do over and over again.
They got to the point where the same person was coming every week. Then, it got to the point where someone different came every time. This was an issue because I had to explain it to someone new. They were not showing up on time.

It didn't' really impact him. The agency did what they were supposed to do, he just didn't want it.
I liked the flexibility and scheduling. I wasn't overly happy with the first lady that was here, but the caregivers are nice. The second one was very polite and at least tried to talk to him.

We had hospice and my family there. We were easing the lady into the mix and no longer needed her after my mom got sick. She was going to be very useful.
I liked that all of the initial conversations and visits were very professional. The owner did a fantastic job explaining the story behind the company. They are veteran-owned.

RAH provided us daily care assistance for our 86 year old mother at our residence. They provided a care provider that fit with our mother’s personality and they enjoyed each other’s company. The provider arrived at our house early enough to get mom out of bed, bathe her, make all meals during the day and even, occasionally, get her to bed in the evenings.
RAH did an excellent job in meeting our requests, and they were even able to provide coverage on weekends when needed.

My mom has 24/7 care. The caregivers are kind and conscientious. She actually considers some of them friends. They cook, clean, do laundry, remind her to take her meds or just keep her company. The owner and office staff have always been accommodating to whatever needs my mom has.

Right at Home agency is an at home agency who provides excellent care for my 80yo mom. They are felixbile with there schedule and respond quickly to phone calls and messages. They listen and match care takers to patients well and are ok if you do not feel the caretaker is compatible. Sometimes the caretakers have to be directed but are willing to do what you ask them to do. They have never missed a meeting or called in sick and are sensitive to ensure caretakers and clients are healthy.

Some of the caregivers could have been more attentive. I don't know that it made him worse off, but that could have been improved.
They need to make their scheduling more organized. We had instances where the caregiver didn't come out and they never informed us.

Some of the aides are wonderful and others are not so great. I live a few hours away and to know that someone can be there for my mother and do the job right puts me at ease. I am not able to come down right away, but they are very helpful.
I have dealt with other agencies before and I think the manager is excellent. He is very thorough with clients and he is very professional. He makes me feel like my parents are in good hands. His secretary is also great and they make a really good team. They have stood out to me way more than other agencies we have used.

We use Right at Home for my Dad during the week. They provide companionship and homemaking services. We have the same people each week so he has been able to build good relationships with them and enjoys seeing them each day. I have found the office staff to be very helpful and responsive.

Having people who have the personality, patience, and kindness needed to care for my elderly parents is helpful. Regardless of how things turned out, I wouldn't trade it for the world. It takes a special person. They treated him like I would like to treat him.
They need to have better communication between management rules and regulation and what they expect from all parties, the caregiver, the patient, and the agency. If they're going to be withdrawing someone, they need to give me prior notice. They just need better communication.

It gets me motivated to get my exercises done. Our caregiver now is kind of a drill sergeant, which is good. She watches my exercises and gives me pointers or feedback. She tells me how to do them better. She knows what she is doing.
We have had trouble getting a stable person to come every time. We have three or four different people come. Hopefully we have a steady one now. A couple of them are brand new and don't know what to do.

It was good. We needed it twice a week. They helped with cleaning and wiping down stuff. They cleaned the bathroom.

There is really nothing more that they can do. I don't use them that often, but they do give me the same caregiver.
I would like to see their ability to bill differently improve. Things just get confusing sometimes when it comes to the billing.

We have been a client of Right at Home for about a month now. Jim and Marty have worked closely with us to find the right match for my parents. My father did not want a caregiver coming in to help him with my mother who has Alzheimer's.
Things are going well at this point, my father is getting accustomed to having a caregiver in the home. She comes one day a week for 4 hours at this point.
I know I can call on them as I need more assistance. They are there to help however they can with my mother's care.
