My moms aide (Sheah) is wonderful. She understands my mothers needs and is very accommodating and extremely helpful. She communicates well with me when necessary. She is very timely and reliable. She is the best!

My mother has resided in an assisted living facility for a few years and I’ve used Home Instead on a part-time basis. The office staff is caring, responsive, flexible, and dependable. Communication is excellent! They are patient and have never failed to meet my needs. The majority of Caregivers are very good and reliable. My mother preferred some over others and the office was very good about providing a good match for her. Caring for an elderly parent is a challenge, especially in this crazy time of COVID. I would recommend Home Instead without a moments hesitation.

The agency provides weekend caregivers for my mother. Because of COVID, I haven’t met some of them. If my mother doesn’t click with a caregiver, the agency sends someone else.

The caregiver arrives on time, helps me get up in the morning and then helps me shower and dress. She makes breakfast -- a plain breakfast -- and then straightens up . She makes lunch -- usually a sandwich -- and then might do laundry while I tend to my email. I have found the caregivers to be pleasant and friendly. The agency has been responsive to my requests. The caregiver serves me dinner at about 6 PM. She then cleans up and leaves at 8 PM.

We hired Home Instead in January to add supplemental support to our mother who was in senior living and later moved to the "Life Guidance" wing (memory unit) She has taken several falls over the year and no longer can manage the basic day to day care without supervision and help. I contacted Home Instead first; they did not have a strong presence in the center our mother was in, but I could tell from the beginning they were anxious to prove to us they were a great organization, My gut told me they were going to be great- and if they weren't we could fire them and move on to the next service providers. Needless to say, we have not "fired" them. The aide they sent was a perfect match for our mother; she is kind and compassionate and attentive. She communicates with many of the siblings on a regular basis (there are 6 of us). I'm sure it can be daunting for her when several of the daughters are bombarding her with texts at the same time, but she handles it with grace. She is our eyes and ears because many of us live several hundred miles away. She is there when she is scheduled to be, and does all and more that we ask of her. I have been very impressed with the Home Instead staff as well; it doesn't matter who I get on the phone, they know who I am and know who our mother is. They have been quick to resolve any issues we've had, whether it's been scheduling changes, or location changes (meaning our mother has had a couple falls- one resulting in a hip fracture that required weeks of rehab). The aides would go to the hospital and spend time with our mother and, again, be our eyes and ears. We are so grateful for that. We have had to rotate new aides into Rita's care in recent weeks- along with the aide she has had from the beginning- and they have all been wonderful! We are very pleased.

My father required full-time care at home during the last month of his life. After having a bad experience with another agency, I contacted Home Instead. I would recommend this service to anyone, but especially those living within Philadelphia city limits. They are located in Center City and the owner of the franchise, Steve L., does the intake. He came to the hospital to meet us and spent forty minutes getting the information he needed to put us together with appropriate home care aids. We were assigned the same carers night after night, which made a huge difference to my father's comfort. They were professional, reliable, caring and kind, and my father looked forward to seeing each of them. They arrived on foot or by public transportation -- so no parking or traffic issues -- and were always ahead of their scheduled time in order to be updated by the carer who preceded them. This insured seamless shift changes. The agency has a nurse on staff who came by whenever a carer had concerns about my father's condition. The staff always checked with me in advance about personnel or schedule changes and when new carers were added to the daytime schedule they came early for training and an introduction. I really can't say enough good things about this agency. They thought of everything.

We only used a person from Home Instead one time and that’s it. They were able to give us a match within a week. All she did was cook and clean. She was punctual and good at what she did. However, it was just odd. We weren’t matched well as there was not a good connection between her and my husband. They wanted to change the caregiver, and we just did not feel like going through anymore. We just did not want to keep on trying because my husband is picky.

I have nothing but positive feedback for Home Instead. Their RN, Barbara, is a great resource. She’s very involved with my parents.

We Hired Home Instead senor care to take care of my father while My sister went away for Business. The interview process was so easy , convenient , and friendly. The communication was outstanding and the care for my father was exactly what I wanted and he deserved. My father does not like Anyone, especially when it comes to assisting him. He absolutely raved about his care and loved talking about Katina like she was one of the family. We are definitely hiring them and Katina again when my sister has to go away in April. Thank you to Home Instead senior care

My stepfather is in his 70s. Ill be polite and not give away his age. Two years ago he was diagnosed with liver cancer. As we all know that form of cancer has nowhere to go but_ up. Thats right to the brain. This last month (June) the lesions in his brain had been causing dementia and paranoia. It was beginning to take its toll on my mother and I. So we contacted Home Instead Senior Care. I use to be skeptical but we had recently a few years earlier used another form of assisted living organization for another family member. Sitting down with these people help you sift through the bad press that nurses aids or senior homes may have. It was important we did not put my stepfather into an actual home. Hes dying but I want him to pass on at home. They send a nurse aid whenever we need her. My mother and I can go on with our own responsibilities now. The nurse sits with him, shops for us when we cant, prepares his meals and even helps him with his bathroom trips and walks outside. It really is a Godsend, truly is. And everyone who works for this office of this company seem to have their own personal experiences of what were dealing with. That makes for a great rapport with the nurses who do come out.
