Home Helpers of New Castle have been extremely helpful. They've been able to provide me with any information that I asked for. They were able to provide my father with the services that we felt he needed. They matched him up with a caregiver specifically for him. We just started with them last week. The caregiver has been with my father twice and it's just a good fit for him. He takes him on all of the errands that he needs to go on, he's very attentive, and he's good with doing things around the house. The caregiver takes him grocery shopping where he's able to pick his own groceries and still have some sense of independence as much as he can. He takes him to doctor's appointments and wherever he needs to go. He also does some light housekeeping. He's making sure that my father is taking his medications correctly. The agency was able to schedule the time that worked well for my father. We did have to change the time this past week because my dad had an appointment that I wanted to go to, and Home Helpers was very good in adjusting the time for the caregiver so that my father didn't miss out on having what he needed from them.
