My father was in an assisted living facility but needed more care that the facility could provide. Since I live in another state, I contacted HomeInstead to visit him 3x/week for three hours/day over the primary meal period to provide companionship, help with eating, and assisting in moving as needed. All aspects of my experience with HomeInstead was positive, from my initial contact through the wrap-up of their services. Office staff was professional--once they understood what i was looking for they arranged an on-site assessment of my dad's needs. The woman performing the assessment was empathetic, engaging, thorough and very competent. She was able to explain their services to my father and his wife, answering their questions and concerns. She provided more detail to me on billing and scheduling. It took about two weeks to find caregivers who could come on the desired schedule, one for two days/week and the other for one day/week (which we later extended to two days/week). Both caregivers bonded with my father; he was happy to see them. They kept good notes of each visit for me to review, and the case manager would call me at least monthly to review the situation with me. They also noted any issues with the care being provided by the facility and suggested equipment or other actions we could take to make my dad more comfortable. If a caregiver was unable to make their normal meeting, they always let me know 48 hours or more in advance and offered to find a substitute to insure coverage. When my Dad needed to move to a different facility for more care, we arranged to have them continue to come to provide continuity and insure there would be some familiar faces in a new situation. He became very friendly with both and it was a source of comfort for me to have two experienced, professional and empathetic people spend time with my dad. I have no hesitation recommending HomeInstead; all aspects of my interaction with them were positive. I only wished I had learned about them sooner so I could have involved them earlier in my dad's care.

Some of our favorite caregivers have been from Home Instead- Caregivers are pleasant, professional and accommodating. Though there are occasional blips, the staff tries their best to fill our needs and meet our requests for schedule changes. Caregivers are always punctual.

Positive: Professional employees, honor safety rules (masks and cleaning), calendars with dates and names of caregivers, open-minded, and respectful personnel. Negative: Too many caregivers with changes. I need a bit more stability. Exhausted.

My mom is in Independent Living, and showing the gradual signs of memory loss. Home Instead provides really professional (and most importantly, empathetic!) Caregivers to help her with medications 2 times a day. Some days my mom is sweet, some days my mom is grumpy. The caregivers are expert at navigating the emotional changes of memory loss, while keeping her confidence and trust. What can I say. During these difficult times, she has people to look out for her on a daily basis. I feel that having extra eyes on my mom is a reflection of something positive, optimistic and calming. This agency has been on time, thoughtful, professional and caring.

My Mom was in a transistion point in dementia. She lives in an assiste living facility and needed one on one care during the day. Home Instead reacted quickly to the need and provided companions that interacted well with Mom. If they got feed back suggesting a given caregiver did not get a great response from my Mother they worked to find a companion who did. The communication with HomeInstead was good even in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic. HomeInstead Is very competitive cost wise and are more reliable than others we have used or heard of from friends. That being said I urge anyone who is thinking of hiring outside care to review your budget and understand all the terms and financial implications. Home Instead was very good at explaining all the terms, rates and minimums.

Consistent and reliable care as scheduled. Caregivers are good with elderly, take their time and don’t rush their client around. Excellent communication from main office.

We are using Home Instead. So far, so good. They provide companionship and have sent a very good person. We have gotten this recommendation from a local medical school. They had recommended Home Instead as an alternative. We went with them, and we are very pleased. The caregivers are very competent. They come in Monday, Wednesday and Friday for three hours. I would certainly recommend them.

Our loved one was living in assisted living and working with hospice. We realized that the aides from the assisted living home were not doing the work that hospice was advising. We hired 24 hour care to be our eyes and ears when we could not be there. They helped us work with hospice to get the care our loved one needed. They were competent and caring and we could not be more pleased with the help they provided. A much needed service and one we were relieved to find.

The people from Home Instead Senior Care are doing a good job. They were really easy to hook up with and they seem very caring. They can provide minimal to full care service. We've been working with them for about three months now.

We ahve used personnel from At Home Instead for the past 2 yers for my father-in-law and found the sreice excellent with good followthrough on requests, respect and compassion for him. At 85 it has ben difficult for him to accept other presences in his home, but he has come to love Cheryl and look forward to seeing her every Tuesday. She plays with his dog, eats breakfast with him and does his laundry. We are currently anticipating increasing her hours because of his decline.
