Sharon has been providing daytime care in our home for almost a year. We appreciate the care, her can do attitude and how reliable Sharon has been.

Brandon helps take care of me. He's nice to me and my wife. I'm always happy to see him when he comes.

Brandon comes in 3 times a week to help with my disabled husband. He cleans him, then puts him in his medical wraps. He gives me a hand with taking out trash and vacuuming, and other tasks if I ask him. He's really kind and helpful!

My experiences with care givers of Bright Star of Lane County have been mostly positive. One of the best care givers that I’ve seen at work is Telessa. She is a conscientious and attentive care giver who focuses on the job at hand, while conveying compassion for the client. Telessa also has pleasant demeanor, is dependable and treats her clients with dignity and respect while expertly caring for them. It is caregivers like Telessa who make BrightStar of Lane County one of the best caregiver providers in the area.

BrightStar has been providing excellent care for my husband who has M.S. and is confined to a wheelchair. Our caregivers: Brandon, Steve and Keliko are like members of our family. My husband requires detailed assistance and uses an overhead lift system. All three gentlemen are professional and very attentive to him. We are working with BrightStar Care Lane County for my mother's in-home care. The agency is good. We tried to match someone with her, and it took a third person to come to be a good match. Actually, the second one who came would have worked fine, as she was very capable, but she was just a little too quiet. (My mom has some cognitive issues, so she needs someone who is going to talk to her and be really outgoing.) The woman who we have now, Caitlyn, works really well because she's that kind of person. (There is nothing wrong with the last one who came, she just did not match with what we needed for my mom.) Caitlyn is outgoing, capable, a go-getter, and she always takes care of things that need to be done. We are happy with her, so far. One of the reasons we chose her, too, was because her hours work well with the hours we wanted. We wanted a person who was also consistent with my mom and she's that. We got a companion care service for my mom, which means they don't do bathing or anything like that, but my mother is still capable of doing that. The caregiver just cleans, and since my mom has a cat she also takes care of it. She helps with the laundry and cooks for her. She does a little bit of everything except taking care of medical stuff and bathing.

Bright Star’s business card, “A Higher Standard” rings true. My husband and I have found their standards high, their staffing proficient, and their help and support to us unmeasurable. Their Office Manager, Keelie is a very caring, compassionate person. She responds very quickly with answers to our questions. She goes the extra mile to help us. She is just a very nice person!

I think that the person providing care is doing well with my aunt and they are more cautious when working with all the precautions of working in the time of COVID-19. I don't know, maybe with any agency it would be nice to have a meeting with whoever they decide that provides care to see how well it will be to receive services.

They're there every day when they're supposed to be. I like the people that they send. They're friendly.

I have found one person and she is consistent now and she knows what I like and does what needs to be done and make sure that she does what she is suppose to. I would recommend them because I have had really good luck with caregivers that have done exactly what I wanted to except one but the rest were amazing.

It has been a great help to have them here. Probably just fix staffing issues.

I was in physical therapy and they did my laundry for me. There could be more training on the employees. When they come in they should do their hand washing to get to caring for me.

They help the most by taking care of my husband. The people are very caring and concerned. We had no idea we would need help but we have been very pleased.

Dad couldn't go without them. They make sure the house is clean, and he is fed. This agency has good staff available. The manager is on top of things as well.

The most helpful part of the care is just having somebody there and having them to help. I remember asking for certain help and it just never happened.

The quality of the people they send us are great. We live in a rural area and are closest to Cottage Grove. Then we don't have to pay mileage. It is difficult to find someone in our area. We would have to pay mileage from Eugene. They require the workers and clients to have their temperatures to be taken daily.

Our caregiver will prepare his meals and cleans the house. She is wonderful. The caregiver we have is mature and interested in taking care of us. The older ones have a heart.

It has been a huge deal but I still have to deal with things after they are not around. They have been extremely accommodating. They stay in touch and are very helpful. They are obviously in this to help people.

My husband has one caregiver and I have a different one. She is very good at knowing what I need. She anticipates in advance what I need and has a lot of knowledge about me. Their people are always well-trained and very good at what they do, even the substitutes.

I have six kids at home so it's a little hard to have another individual in the house ushering him through all of the chaos. I think it's personal anxiety of making sure the kids stay out of the way. They could also come up with more of a variety of activities to do with him. I like that every single staff member I've talked to has been overwhelmingly friendly and helpful.

I need wraps for lymph edema and they are taking care of it. They are so efficient.

They've been able to take care of her so that I can get stuff done. The services are great and helpful.

I did the care all by myself until BrightStar Care came because of the VA. My husband is capable of doing some things, and I take him to physical therapy twice a week, and I take him to a pool to exercise. The caregiver is willing to go and get in the water with me and keep an eye on him so he does not fall. They work with me until they get a person that fits into my environment and that is important for me. They do look for a better match for me if there is a bad match.

When I get the help, it is very important. They have been very reliable. Even though I don't get care very frequently, they have been able to send somebody to help me when I need it.

Everything was done on time, and having someone there with my loved one was important. I liked the care that my loved one got and the friendships my loved one had with the caregivers.

He looks forward to her coming and is excited to see her. The caregivers are great, but the office staff is incompetent and rude.

They have a nurse that periodically comes to check on things. Their communication with the clients is great. They are good with seeking solutions if I have issues. They keep me in the loop.

Just having the representatives from BrightStar has made a difference in my life. I like the people I have working for me.

They were very friendly. He always liked their demeanor and approach. The way they communicated was really good.

My mother died last year and now my step dad is in assisted living in Eugene. One of the other residents there told him about Bright Star and he decided to get some assistance with settling him in to his new place, as I live in Seattle and am unable to just stop by and help him as needed. Stephanie was the one to come out and help him. She assessed the situation and took charge in a way that didn’t undermine my stepdad’s wishes. She treats him with respect and dignity and also is able to persuade him to do difficult things that he needs to do, and how to do it in a way that works. She also knows when not to pick a battle! Now Stephanie comes in on a regular basis to assist my step dad. We could contract with the assisted living facility to do these extra things (and it is a good place), but Stephanie gives him the detailed attention that makes his quality of life better in unmeasurable ways. She and my step dad have a great relationship. Meanwhile, I have peace of mind that my step dad is well cared for, which is so important with me being 275 miles away. Thank you to Bright Star and Stephanie for being there for my step dad. Stephanie is a gem!

They could have made my life easier by having more employees and accommodating us with what we needed. They could improve by listening and responding quicker. I should not have to call 7 times to get something fixed.

We're leaving this review to post how pleased we are with Stephanie. She is our back up caregiver and she always brings a big smile to our faces. She is very thorough and knowledgeable and helps us find additional care that we are seeking. Stephanie has a gentle and quiet demeanor; very kind and is so successful in getting my husband to participate in the word games. He's very hesitant to go for a walk or participate in the word games unless Stephanie is here. This is representative of the great rapport that she has. I'm sure that she is a popular caregiver to be requested due to her gentle, caring and knowledgeable personality. I don't know what the company pays their caregivers, but I can say for certain that they earn every penny plus! I would hope that there are bonuses or perks for the caregivers that excel like Stephanie. I was told that the company tries to match their caregivers to their clients and I would say that they hit a home run here! I would recommend the company. My only concern would be that if the caregivers are not compensated enough, the really good ones might leave ... and we would be so sad if that happened. My husband normally does not like strangers in the home but both Angie and Stephanie have done an excellent job in making him so comfortable that they are like members of the family.

She really likes the caregiver that comes out here. She really enjoys her company. They have been good. They are on top of things. The caregiver is really nice.

They went above and beyond. They did more than what I asked while doing what I did ask. Stephanie was rad. It was excellent. We didn't have any problems at all. I dealt with two representatives. Not only were they professional, but they felt like family. I have PTSD, and I don't like people, so that was important.

They were a lot of help, but having a caregiver would have had a greater impact on my daily life. They did a good job of taking care of me.

They have super inconsistent caregivers. Some are great, some are not. I would like them to improve the billing, it is horrible. They cannot provided balances, and they send weekly invoices, which do not show what has already been paid and what is still pending.

I am the husband of the client. I am almost always present when the care giver is here. Agency has been good at making sure the hours are covered. Brightstar is our current provider and has been our service agency or about one year. The staff they send have been very competent. Staff is very polite and accommodating. They are adaptable to whatever changes in coverage I nee. Caregiver Takes Nancy shopping. Puts out pills for the month. Cleans the house, floor, bathroom, etc. Helps keep Nancy focused and is emotionally very supportive. She always arrives on time and sometimes stays a few minutes late to finish up a task. She is very friendly. Knowledgeable. Easy to work with and quite open to do whatever she is asked The office has been very good at making sure the hours are covered. They are always polite and show concern over Nancy's welfare.

There is an excellent screening process. Every caregiver that has been to our home is kind and knowledgeable. Our regular caregiver, Emily, is always attentive to my mother's needs without hovering or barking orders. I would give one more star to this company if they had a 24-hour on call system. If something comes up in the morning before the office opens, they don't get the message until they get in.

An individual like me, I get 7 days a week 3 hours a day. Sometimes they stay a little bit longer and work with me to pay my bills. BrightStar has always worked with me. BrightStar has always heard my needs and requests. They always make sure that they could do anything they could possibly do. I would give them a higher rating if I could.

They have really talented young help that comes to our house. They have been very reliable and give very good care.

I don't have to be there during the day, so that's a big help. They've been caring and the people who work for them are great. They're very good with my loved one and spend time with her.

The lady stayed on the phone for about an hour and wouldn't get work done. There were things that I didn't know they could do, but they wouldn't do them.

It is outstanding and it helps me along. It makes it a lot easier to get around. Chemotherapy makes me really weak. When there is something to get done, they get it done. They are professional.

She keeps a close eye on my husband to make sure he is okay and make sure he takes his medications when he's supposed to. She helps him in the bathroom and even helps me clean. The caregiver is a very nice person to work with.

I think they help the most by giving her safe showers. I wish they weren't so expensive.

When they first started, I said I would like for her to vacuum, dust, mop, wipe the bathroom down, and put dishes in the dishwasher, and she is not doing much of anything now. My dad has long-term care insurance and we have been working to get that going, but I would be calling this company and they would say they were sending a fax to the agency, and I would ask the agency to call me back when they got it, but they never called me back. They finally called and said I need to start paying on this. We have been communicating it repeatedly that they needed to take care of this.

I haven't been with them very long. I haven't been with them long enough to recommend them.

Having them here helps me out a lot. I like that everything is always done right. They are polite and respectful. I couldn't ask for better help. They are awesome.

She was always there when she was supposed to be. She never called in sick, she was attentive, nice, and we laughed a lot. The company and caregivers are very loving and caring. I would use them again.

They've added more stress to my life because I have caregivers that don't show up for my shifts and they don't call me so I'm left high and dry. That's happened several times this week, even. They could improve their communication. They could let me know what's going on with the caregivers.

They aren't on time and it really causes problems sometimes. The scheduling could improve and the caregivers aren't on time.

I would tell a friend that the caregiver we had was excellent. She did a good job. He had Parkinson's and it was hard for him to get around. He couldn't walk or talk. She was great.

Their caregivers are very kind and reliable. That's an important thing. It alleviates the worry about the care that my mom is getting because they will alert me of any concerns. Mostly they provide such a sense of comfort and companionship to my mom.

Everything's been going fairly smooth. The caregiver is doing a really good job. She's been doing good work. We went through a couple companies that didn't work out and we ended on this decision. He's bonded with the caregiver really well. They just basically take care of his everyday needs. She takes over and does everything I used to do.

BrightStar Care needs to communicate with me more about scheduling and people not showing up for their shifts and things like that. BrightStar Care makes my loved one's life easier because my mother cannot bathe him. They make his bed, cook breakfast, and put him to bed.

I would recommend BrightStar Care to others because I can count on them to send caregivers when I needed them. BrightStar Care has made life easier for me because they take three hours of caregiving from me so I do not need to do it.

BrightStar Care is efficient in the care they provide. My caregiver's efficiency has been outstanding. The things that are required for my caregiver to do, she does very efficiently and within a very short amount of time.
