My parents have Visiting Angels of Eugene do their laundry, clean their house, prepare their meals, take them out for walks, and get some exercise. They are just wonderful. They help them shower too, especially my dad. They help dry him off, get him ready, rub lotion in him, shave him, and everything. They do some great things for them. There is this gal we have from Mondays through Fridays, and then another gal on the weekend. A couple of times they needed a sub because one of them was either ill or had a doctor's appointment. We did not care for the sub. There were some of them that just sat there and wanted to chat, and just did not do much. We are paying them to do work, but they are not. As far as communication, they were good with that. They have been out there a couple of times and made sure things are going well and they did it wonderfully. Initially they had my brothers and myself, along with my parents there, talking to us and asking us what we needed. It was pretty nice. Everyone was involved.

My in-laws are using Visiting Angels of Eugene & Springfield. They provide bathing, routine help, they're doing laundry, cooking, and preparing meals. We opted out of medication administration at this time because of an additional $300 monthly fee. The caregivers have been relatively good. Right now we have them seven hours a day. For the time that they're there, they've been very helpful.

After interviewing several agencies, I selected Visiting Angels for my home care needs. It has now been over a year and I could not be more pleased with my decision. The office staff is professional and caring, keeping in touch with visits and phone calls. And my caregiver is an absolute gem...kind and considerate, capable and reliable, with a warm and sunny disposition. She helps with things which have become difficult for me: transportation, grocery shopping, planting flowers, watering the garden, placing or removing items out of my reach, preparing lunch or snacks. Whatever the needs of the day, she is eager to help. Based on my experience, I heartily recommend Visiting Angels!

Visiting Angels did an excellent job. Everything they said they would do, they did. The caregiver had a very positive attitude, was always helpful and on time, and did an excellent job. My dad is 91 years old, and she got along very well with him in terms of being responsive to his needs. She was here for companionship and in case he should fall, which never happened. She also did very light housekeeping and washed dishes.

They have a very flexible schedule. We only needed a person for one hour, twice a week while the rest of the agencies I inquired are 3 hours minimum. The caregiver is good at her job. She mostly helps my wife in preparing breakfast and checking on her medications at the same time making sure that she's taking her medications. She also helps her with some personal care and washing the dishes. My wife is very comfortable around her and she is happy to have some help around.
