Private-Duty Service Rates
Subject to change – 1/1/23
Companion Care $30.00 per hour - 4+ hours per shift
Personal Care $32.00 per hour - 4+ hours per shift
Mileage $0.58 per mile - No charge for commute
Assessments - FREE
Location Rate Increase
Services being provided outside of a 20 mile radius from Salem will be subject to a $2.00/hr rate increase. This increase is applied to offset geographical cost of living differences.
Cancellation Policy
YOU MUST PROVIDE 24 HOURS’ NOTICE TO CANCEL A SCHEDULED SHIFT. IF THE SHIFT IS CANCELLED LESS THAN
24 HOURS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED SHIFT START TIME, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE UP
TO THE FULL COST OF THE SHIFT
Holidays
Caregivers are paid a premium for working the following holidays. Such hours/days are billed at premium rates (see Service Agreement.).

Easter Sunday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day New
If services are provided to two clients, a premium may apply.

I am a current client of FirstLight Home Care of Salem. We love the caregiver that come into the home. They were very flexible, and everything is working out beautifully. They help with food preparation, bathing, toiletries, laundry, and friendship. She does puzzles with my mom, and she's also there when doctors come. She's been very good. We chose them because they responded to me first, and they were able to do the number of hours that we had requested.
Good cargivers-poor management

This place started off great. I needed 10 pm to 7 aam help. They were supplied immediately. The night folks were great. But when there was a no show, I wasn't told until after the beginning of the absent persons shift. The scheduling and billing was awful. If you work with this place, get everything in writting,
